Alligators Trying Together

Alligators Trying Together

Even with the beast using its tail to defend itself, Yun Tian did not try to stop himself at all and continued onwards with his sword raised. This time he was not holding back at all. He was using both ferocity and killing intent in his swing. He pushed his strike to the maximum, while using all the qi and bodily strength he could muster.

Although he was impaired in the water and his opponent had the advantage, when his sword came into contact with its tail, the tail was cut right in half causing the alligator to release a loud squeal. His blade was still not stopped and continued onwards trying to go for the beast’s head.

He wasn’t able to kill it though as he felt another tail coming at him from his side. Its speed was much greater than the other figures around and it was even bigger than the one he was going after.

He knew he could not avoid it and was forced to stop his killing blow to block.

He did not ignore his previous target though and instead kicked off its body knocking it away and giving him some more momentum once again. He was meeting his challenger's attack head on.

He used all he could muster and his sword met with the alligator’s tail head on. Upon collision, he made a deep cut in the tail and both of them were launched backwards.

When he cut it, he heard an angry grunt spread through the water.

The alligator had managed to take on his attack with only a light wound. Even though he wasn’t able to use his full power in that attack, it would still be too much for a mid stage alligator. He instantly confirmed it to be the late stage demonic alligator.

Even at this point he was still not resting though. Just like he had gained momentum from kicking the first alligator, he used the momentum from this clash that knocked him backwards to go after his first target once again.

The late stage alligator was not stupid and upon noticing this he roared like he was giving orders.

Yun Tian was moving through the water, but he was paying attention to his surroundings the entire time though. So, when four figures came from his surroundings with jaws open trying to bite him he was ready.

Despite there being four of them, he was relieved to find that the figures all seemed to be in the early stage demonic beast realm. In a short moment he decided his plan of action.

While he could easily kill one of them in a direct confrontation, the others would get a chance to attack him. Even if he could block another at the same time he killed one the other two would have free reign to attack him. While his body and qi barriers were strong, he didn’t want to risk it.

He was forced to play it completely defensively.

The four knew they were much weaker than him so they came at him from all directions and all at the same time. Battling in the water made it so they could even come from above and below.

At the same time, Yun Tian’s movement technique, fleeting steps, was almost completely useless. Instead, he changed to the Fluid Steps movement steps movement skill to defend himself.

They all came at the same time, but he managed to use the Fluid Steps skill to its full potential and twisted his body around barely gliding right past each of their attacks. He pushed two of them forcing them to crash into each other and kicked away one of them. As for the last, he was able to use his sword after he made the others unable to help and slashed, cutting the creature's head off.

Seeing all this happen, the late stage demonic alligator was already on its way over again and roared to express its anger.

Although Yun Tian managed to kill one of them, his worries did not decrease at all. Instead, his nerves tensed to their maximum.

He was now in a completely passive position as his ability to travel through the water was nowhere as good as theirs. He could only use the Fluid Steps skill to perform maneuvers in the water and dodge.

Also, now he would have to deal with all of them at once.

He had not been able to finish off the mid stage alligator and it was now coming back to get revenge on him.

He braced himself and got ready to defend himself from their attacks. The late stage alligator made sure to slow down so both alligators would reach Yun Tian at the same time.

He was forced to take on both. While he could try and dodge one of them, these two had much better agility than their weaker counterparts even though they were larger. So, he decided to take them head on instead.

He once again got ready to put his all into his sword strike to attack the mid stage one, but at the same time he prepared to use cloud palm to defend against late stage one. While it might not be enough to do any damage, he figured the defensive properties of the skill should be enough to give him the time he needs.

His palm filled with qi turned into a cloud that softened the late stage alligator’s tail attack, but it ultimately did zero damage to the alligator. However he managed to use his sword and swing right into the open jaws of the mid stage one. He put everything into swinging his sword as fast as he could so it could not react.

The alligator's jaws were threatening, but he used the alligator's attack against it and his sword went right between its jaws. His sword then continued onwards cutting off the top half of its head. He managed to kill the mid stage one.

Still the corpse rammed into him. The force of the corpse along with the late stage alligator’s attack launched him backward at great speed and he crashed into the ground at the bottom of the swamp.

Water splashed into the air above him and dirt flew everywhere around him.
