The “Strong” Rob

Gu Jie managed to block his strike with his own sword, but the force was way too much for him to handle as he was launched flying backwards. He crashed into an early stage man and knocked him out of the way as he kept on going. He flew into the side of a building and caused it to crash down on him with dust and debris flying everywhere.

The man he crashed into was knocked away and rolled for a while on the ground as he spit out blood and didn’t get back up in the end.

Everyone was appalled, but Yun Tian did not wait to see the outcome of his attack as he immediately cut off the head of a mid stage expert next to him before he could react and then launched himself once more at Mu Wen.

She had been going after Bolin who had started to attack one of the two late stage experts, but she was forced to divert her attention after seeing Yun Tian coming after her.

She held her mid spirit grade sword and diverted her charge toward Yun Tian as she swung her sword to block him. At the same time, the late stage expert from her clan had pulled out a bow that seemed to be a low spirit grade weapon and fired an arrow at Yun Tian.

Mu Wen’s attack seemed to contain softening properties like his cloud palm, only much better and completely integrated into her sword style. The arrow coming at him was extremely fast and seemed to move with the wind as it came at him even as he quickly changed position while going after Mu Wen. It was almost like it was locked onto him.

In this tense situation, he quickly made his decision on what to do as he pooled together several qi barriers above his right shoulder and continued his charge without changing his movements at all. He didn’t want to lose any of his momentum at all.

In the middle of the many experts, his sword connected with Mu Wen’s blade and even with her having time to attack back unlike Gu Jie, she grunted and was knocked back at least fifty feet. However, she was able to retain her balance and stay on her feet.

Immediately afterwards, the arrow hit him on his side. It first landed on his qi barriers breaking each of them with some difficulty before landing on his skin.

A lot of the qi and force within the arrow had been depleted by then, but the archer’s eyes widened as they saw the arrow only created a small scratch before being knocked away. A normal dantian building expert’s body couldn’t take that arrow head on with such ease even with how much energy the qi barriers wasted.

But, Yun Tian’s body had grown to unbelievable levels including his defensive abilities. That, along with his excellent ability to create strong and multiple qi barriers gave him an overall great defense, even if he didn’t actively try to block the attack.

He was about to go after the archer, when suddenly he gave up on that and continued after Mu Wen. The archer followed along with him and fired another arrow at the same time.

He changed his decision as he noticed Gu Jie had come out of the wreckage and was already closing in on him. Except for some blood on his robe that he coughed out, he appeared to be fine.

Yun Tian’s attack had contained a lot of force and he was only able to block with his sword covered in qi without attacking back. It was evident that Gu Jie was quite strong for him to have come out with only having coughed up some blood.

With a precedent already set, Yun Tian blocked the arrow coming at him in the same way only getting a scratch, before once again swinging his sword at Mu Wen who had stabilized herself and gotten ready to receive his attack. She swung back in retaliation and wasn’t launched as far this time since Yun Tian’s strike didn’t contain as much force as before.

The reason why was seen as he immediately moved and swung his sword to block Gu Jie’s strike coming at him. When his sword met with Gu Jie’s, he noticed the chip on his opponent’s blade and he felt happy about how good his new sword was. His opponents were using mid spirit grade weapon’s but he was able to damage them with his great strength combined with his new sword.

That wasn’t the only thing he noticed though. Behind Gu Jie’s attack was a tremendous amount of force. While there was a lot of qi contained in the man’s sword as it came at him, it wouldn’t explain why his attack was so strong.

Yun Tian’s attack was still stronger, but he realized how the man withstood his attack so well. The man was very physically strong and he used that to back up his strength from his qi. He realized the man’s combat style must focus on his brute strength instead of purely on his skills and using his qi like other experts.

In a way they were similar, but Yun Tian had a demonic core and demonic qi to enhance his body.

He knocked the man back as these thoughts were running through his head.

Meanwhile, Gu Jie was thinking, ‘How is his attack so strong! My attack contains more qi than his! He was forced to deal with me right after Mu Wen! There’s no way his body could be stronger than mine!’

Yun Tian didn’t know it but Gu Jie was gifted with enhanced strength from the very beginning and he emphasized this in his entire life by training a special method to further refine his physique. So, he was appalled by the strength of Yun Tian’s body.

He knocked the man away, but didn’t knock him very far so he immediately leapt back into the fray along with Mu Wen.

Now he was forced to fight both of them along with blocking arrow after arrow using only qi shields and his body’s toughness. Also, he had to protect Shen Yu in his grasp.
