The “Strong Ones” Are Dead

The man’s shout jolted everyone and they all turned to look hoping to see nothing there and find that he was wrong. Unfortunately for them, reality didn’t adhere to their hopes. Their spirits completely deflated as they laid their eyes on the lifeless body of their one remaining hope.

At this moment, most of the town’s remaining experts, including the remaining seven late stage experts, had gathered here. But, all they could do was stare at Yun Tian wondering what he would do next. He was in the middle of the dead bodies of many of their friends and even relatives. Even if they weren’t close, they at least all came from the same town and were basically on the same side, especially against outsiders. Yun Tian killed so many people.

Even with that though, they were too scared to attack him exactly because he had killed so many people. He had shown his great strength and even though he did all this they didn’t dare to immediately try to take revenge.

Many thoughts ran through their minds. Him having killed so many strong experts could also mean he was low on qi and exhausted, however they were just too scared of him now. They were even too scared to run as it was obvious that some of the bodies were a little farther away from the main battlefield and belonged to people who had tried to run but failed and still died in the end without managing to even get very far away.

Above all, a lot of their thoughts were on the fact that he didn’t attack them right away. What if running triggered him and made him want to chase them down and kill them all?

Some of the more observant people even spotted a mid spirit grade sword that was now in two pieces which jolted their hearts as they looked at the weak looking young man standing there holding an even younger looking cute girl. However, none of them dared to underestimate the young man surrounded by the dead bodies of many powerful experts no matter how young or weak he may look.

For a few moments the two sides only stared at each other. The wolves growling and baring their teeth also helped to worsen the unease in the experts' hearts. The wolves were eager to kill more people of this town after having been injured. Their clear anger made the people worry about what Yun Tian would do.

By now though, Yun Tian had calmed down. As he saw their fearful appearances, he thought for a moment and then yelled, “I’m upset so I will let you go, but you have to throw over all your possessions except for your clothes.”

Hearing that, suspicion faintly flashed in the people’s hearts.

His words brought no feelings of gratitude. Instead they made the expert’s eyes sparkle as each of them immediately had similar thoughts run through their minds, ‘Is he injured?’ ‘Is he out of qi?’ ‘Should we try to kill him?’ ‘This is all I have, I can’t lose it.’

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Their changes in expression didn’t escape Yun Tian’s notice and he felt disgusted. He had tried to let them go, but that instead made them see him as weak.

His killing intent exploded as he slowly held up three fingers and started counting down.

“3!”

But as they felt his killing intent, they instantly decided, ‘Even if he is a paper tiger, it is too risky.’

With that they all started to throw over their spatial bags containing everything they owned.

With that, Yun Tian felt even more disgusted as they reminded him of the behavior of the Yun clan members. They were ungrateful, thinking of attacking him after he pardoned them. And they also lacked the courage to go through with their conniving thoughts.

He was thinking about killing them anyway, but ultimately decided against it as he put away each of the spatial bags.

The experts still stood there, only quickly dispersing in all directions when he said, “You can leave.”

After watching each one of them leave and making sure there was no one left around, he turned to the wolves and said, “Gather up all the bodies and items.”

Afterwards, he patted the back of Shen Yu’s head and said to her, “I’m gonna put you down, but keep your eyes closed until I say. Okay?”

She said, “Yes,” seemingly unaffected by everything that just happened and Yun Tian let her down.

It would be much easier putting everything away if he could use both arms and he could do so without worry as all the threats had already all been taken care of.

Shen Yu seemed to be listening to him, keeping her eyes closed as he let her down and she stood there appearing to be waiting for his words, but after he turned to start gathering everything he suddenly heard a gasp. He turned around prepared to comfort her after she saw this whole mess, when she ran past him and came in front of Bolin and hugged him.

He thought, ‘She sure has her priorities straight.’

After hugging the wolf, Shen Yu quickly and worriedly questioned him, “Are you alright!? You have so many cuts all over you!”

Seeing this, Yun Tian was a little relieved and surprised. She had ignored the many dead bodies around and locked onto the fact that one of the wolves was injured.

Bolin reassured her by licking her hand trying to pose and show he was fine.

Yun Tian cut in saying, “He is injured but will be fine. Don’t worry. He will heal quickly just like me. Demonic beasts are quite resistant after all.”

Like he said, the cut on his foot was already in the process of slowly healing and the scratches he got from the arrows earlier were basically gone.

Shen Yu heard his words and calmed down.

The first thing she did after opening her eyes was inspecting Yun Tian and she saw no major injuries to his backside. Afterwards, she noticed Bolin standing there quite literally covered in blood and multiple cuts.

Now, she turned to look at Yun Tian from the front though and was happy to see he looked fine. That is she was happy until she saw there was some blood on the spots he just walked past.

She asked worriedly, “You're injured?”
