Chapter 1: Plains

Chapter 1: Plains

I stood amidst a field of green. Within my sight, all I could see is endless plains of verdant grasses, with the warmth of the sun falling upon my flesh. I covered my hands as I looked up above, where the vast expanse of blue resides.

The wind gave mild chill across my skin; A pleasant breeze it was. From all over, the rustling of grasses resound; its entire ambiance so relaxing; perfect to lay my entire body; enjoying the passing of time devoid of worries.

Closing my eyes, the sounds of rustling soothe every muscle in my flesh. The faint chirping of birds echoed from a distance; it's such a peaceful atmosphere.

Slowly, I lowered my entire body towards the earthly blanket. The grass was softer than what I expect. The clothes I wore might get dirty; my hands were already soiled from the earth as I took a good look, with my palms covering the sun.

The soft-rough texture of the grass caressed the soles of my feet and my exposed arms. A nice feeling it gave as it brushed against my hair. With the sun falling at me directly, a mild warmth seeped into my skin, filling my closed eyelids with green hues.

Stretching my arms and feet and loosening it up, the continuous rustling sound served as a lullaby. I let out a long yawn and slept sideways; rolling around the grassy earth after a brief passing moment.

I don't wanna think about all these complicated things anymore; just losing myself within the scenery.

Soon after, the green hues fade to black; clouds blanketed over the excess light and the breeze let comfiness fill me up.

Entrusting myself to this grass plain, I drifted into sleep.

I dreamt of many things I experienced in life—mostly painful ones. Now I would tell myself—no more of that.

This is where I truly belong.

Right now, I just want to be here and not everywhere else.
