I didn't stick for too long and stood up after a few minutes of rest.

The puddle of blood and gore in front of me was intense it smelled horrible and I tried to to ignore it as I rummaged through his bloodied clothing trying to find something that could help me to figure out who wanted me dead.

This guy obviously took orders from someone just like micheal he even mentioned it dozens of times,but the difference was he was here to intentionally murder me micheal on the other hand didn't seem to know me directly and only searched for the ticket to the colosseum to use it to kill amy he only encountered me because I also needed the ticket fighting me for it,but he failed getting defeated by me.

Because of that I can assume that the one who is behind this didn't seem to like my actions and ordered this guy to take me out,very annoying if you ask me.

I thought about it while rummaging through this guys pockets,soon enough I discovered that he didn't have a single item on his body the spear he wielded had also disappeared into light particles and was nowhere to be seen only the bloodied clothing and corpse was present,but soon enough another strange thing happened.

The body and the blood that was on the ground was slowly vanishing into small particles,it was a stunning event that was happening in front of me very uncomfortable since the eyes of the dead victim were staring into me,killing someone wasn't pleasant to the least my heart still felt conflicted by it,but I always quickly shut off those feelings that I had trying to make them numb and indifferent.

I crouched down again putting the corpse on its back I stared at the chest are and saw the emblem that was sewed into his clothing...

It was a star combined with a cross underneath it was also a crescent moon holding the star cross from the bottom.

I only stared into the emblem for a few minutes until the body finally disappeared into nothingness not even leaving behind a single drop of blood and with this I could also feel the sphere that I was trapped in originally getting released with it one aspect of my power returning back to me...the ability to stop time.

I sat down trying to rest myself for a moment while staring into the dark enclosed area I got myself into.

I used a lot of stamina this time to win,it wasn't to the point of actual death,but it was close enough to make my head blank out every few seconds,I had used two new skills already which were Chrono Shift and Time Walk,through Chrono Shift I was able to set a timer on a specific item to have it either rewind or fast forward I used this ability to mark a few debris and broken down buildings,setting the timer every time while walrick pushed me somewhere where I could touch something without him noticing what I was actually doing.In the end it resulted in the debris and broken pieces to all rewind at the same time and make the same building which the space of the area couldn't accommodate to crash onto each other.Creating a stuffed crumbling area to block walricks vision and using that opportunity I invoked another skill called Timer Walk which allowed me to fast forward the time of my body making me temporarily invincible and void from this world giving me a effect to go through objects while in its state,this ability was similar to the way I stop the time of my body to hide myself from the world this time though I use it to fast forward and be faster then the world itself becoming irrelevant to the time line of this world meaning that my body turns into nothingness for a few moments turning me into something like a ghost,the only down side to this skill is that I can't stop moving while in that state if I stop moving the skill will also stop working it is a fairly complicated skill and also the second most draining one since it also affects my physical state somewhat if I make a mistake somehow.

Anyways I used the skill to run through the crashing buildings my plasma sword was also effected by this skill since I was in direct contact with it giving me the chance to sneak up on walrick without getting noticed and finally stab him to the back deactivating the skill.

In and out I could have used Time Walk in any moment and try to take out walrick earlier,but at the same time I didn't want to do that and lose my only chance to ever get a sure hit on him which is why I first created a distraction to have him miss my figure,but even that wouldn't fully fool him since he seemed to have other ways to detect me which was problematic,but didn't bother me since I only needed him to lose sight of me,when time walk is invoked I begin to cease from the time line meaning that he couldn't have sensed me when I approached him which is why he didn't know how I stabbed him at the back without him noticing me first.

It was a pretty good plan in my opinion,taxing,but very useful since it sure paid out to learn from chronos about my powers without it I would have already turned into well made roast.

I sighed...the air inside this enclosed area was starting to get stuffy after regaining some of my strength I stood up again,stopping time and drawing my plasma sword while carving a tunnel towards one direction it didn't take long until I finally got outside.

Starting time again I could feel my legs and arms buckle for a moment if it wasn't for my sheer stubborn attitude right now I would have collapsed a long time ago,but I held on and looked around taking in a deep breath of fresh air.

-Dawn ?!

Not too far off I heard a familar and feminine voice approach me I turned my head to see who it was and surprisingly scar was there quickly making her way towards me.

I didn't expect her to be alive to be honest,with all the fighting going on I couldn't just keep her safe somewhere and just assumed that she was far enough to not be affected by the crossfire that was going on,I felt a bit glad that she was alive.Scar seemed to be fine she didn't have any injuries that were obvious only a whole lot of dust covering her entire body and a few ripped parts on her clothing.

-Oh my god...you look horrible...

Scar commented looking at me with a terrified expression on her face,I hadn't had the chance to actually examine myself,but I was sure that I didn't have any major injuries maybe a few scratches here there causing some specks of blood to gather on some parts,but over all I was fine.

-It doesn't matter we have to leave now...

I said storing my plasma sword back into the clavicula I glared at scar prompting her to show me the way to the magicians association.

Scar was obviously very confused and not sure what to do she had dozens of questions that she wanted the answer for,but she also knew very well that I wasn't going to tell her anything so asking wasn't going to accomplish much either the only thing she could do right was to do what she was hired to do.

Lead the way.

With a complicated look on her face scar nodded her head and looked around the area once again trying to figured out where we are,she saw me shiver for a few moments and knew that I was in small pain,but didn't say anything to do and just walked while I followed her with a solemn look on my face.

The people in this city were obviously unnerved and panicked by the sudden collapse and devastation of a single part of the city citizens and guardsmen were constantly rushing out towards the devastated area questioning people of the event that had occurred a hour ago scar and I skillfully avoided these guardsmen and took a few detours to avoid people at all on the way I felt tired and hungry scar also couldn't help,but look at me a few times because of my wrenched state she offered to rest a few minutes which I eventually agreed on sitting on a box in what seemed to be a more cleaner and quieter alley way in this area.

-You...you really need a doctor...

Scar said a bit concerned,I didn't mind her words and simply sat still taking my breath.

-Where is the association ? Are we close yet ?

I asked my question surprised scar and also made her a bit sour since she knew that I was ignoring her it is probably humiliating to her since she is getting ignored by a 15 year old brat even though she is older then me giving her no respect at all.

-It is very close just down into the alley way and then to the left side you will see the association you can't miss it..

She said,hearing her words made me delighted from the inside as I started to rummage through my pocket gesturing scar to come closer which she did still a bit fearful.

I smiled kindly pulling out a fistful of golden coins from my pocket the amount that I had pulled out was not the amount we agreed on if you look at the sheer amount that I was gripping in my hand,some coins even fell down onto the ground because I couldn't hold them all.

Seeing this amount of money being present to her scar swallowed hard with wide eyes the way she looked right now told me that she had never seen this much money in her entire life she couldn't seem to believe that this amount was now hers it made her extremely joyful inside,but also very frightened too as she knew that the value of everything comes with a price.

I understood her thinking and knew why she refused to take this money,I didn't just give her this amount out of sheer gratefulness,no the reason I gave her this was also to apologize for putting her into this scenario just now nearly killing her,from what I could tell a single gold coin had massive value scar even educated me about this while we were shopping and it seems like a single gold coin is equivalent to a mans 10 years of work and could easily feed a family of three for 3 years straight without a single day of work maybe even have some left overs for luxury.

12 gold coins were already enough to set someone for life,but the amount I was presenting now was just insane obviously making a smart girl like her very suspicious of why I would consent into giving up so much money just for a stroll through the city not even the richest people in this city would give so much money which they could potentially use to buy land,ranks or items maybe even high class prostitutes who the hell knows.

I said smiling at her while standing up and putting the pile of gold onto the surface of the box,finishing I started walking past the stunned scar as I made my way out of the alley way.

-Wait..

Just as I was about to walk away scar called for me.A bit surprised I stopped in my tracks turning my eyes towards the red haired assassin.

-What do you want ?

She looked a bit timid and had a strange resolved look on her face while facing me her previous proud attitude was gone and instead replaced by determination.

-Do..you still have a job for me ?

I laughed hearing her question...what is she after now ?

-I don't think I will need you any further if you want to earn money just take the money that is on the box hell you don't even need to ask me for a job do you ? With that amount you could just become a merchant or live your life without a care in the world why continue being an assassin lady ?

My words of reason seemed to have stung some part of her brain as she remembered something,it didn't seem to be a very good memory since she was starting to frown and looked hateful remembering it.

Her words seemed detached very cold even making me confused all of a sudden...I don't know anything about her she is just an wannabe assassin that one day came into my room wanting to kidnap me and steal the potion I was assigned to make,she,without a doubt failed in her task which followed other events with me hiring her instead and even then I don't know shit about her I never had any interest knowing even and just kept her around as a wiki for something I didn't know about.

But now she wants a job again and she wants more money ? What could she possibly want that money for ?

Feeling a bit frustrated I started to put my hands into my pockets and then pulling out handful of golden coins from them as I started to shower the whole ground with goldens coins one handful after another covering the ground around me throughly.Scar watched this happening and had a very shocked look on her face while watching me endlessly drop massive amounts of coins out of my pockets,she already guessed that this amount couldn't have possibly been stored in my small pockets,but even then she still doesn't have a clue how I was able to do this she didn't even ask and just stared with a flabbergast look on her face.

-Money you need money right ? Now here it is ? Are satisfied now ? Or do you need more ? hahahaha

I laughed pretty amused by the look scar was giving staring at the piles of gold that I pulled out of my mere pockets.

She stared at it for a moment,but quickly pulled herself together and raised her up to me grinding her teeth.

-No,I can't take this money...

Hearing her words made some part of my brain break for a moment...it made my thinking process go south way where it usually never stays giving me one conclusion only.

-Are you after my body ?

My question was serious the sheer amount of seriousness made scar very much embarrassed quickly turning red on her entire face while staring at me surprised.

-NO,I am not.I simply can't just take the money I didn't earn it myself !

She quickly explained,but her words just simply sounded even more ridiculous to me since she was breaking her logic one after another.

-You aren't making sense lady you are a god damn assassin you steal peoples lives for a living what makes you say that you have to earn the money ? Or a better question what makes you different from a simple thief ?

My words had a tone of anger and annoyance within them what I was saying had once again hit something inside of scar since she started to get conflicted with herself clearly wanting to rebuke my words,but also not even sure if she should speak any further..such a person was troublesome...

I thought of simply leaving staying any further wasn't helping me at all and talking to her was clearly no sense,but just as I was about to do that scar shouted out.

-I...I am not a lowly thief...I..I NEVER KILLED ANYONE ALRIGHT!

My body stiffed for a moment as I listened to her words,I wasn't surprised to the least should I say,I already had my suspicion since this girl was way too soft sometimes not able to act properly or hold her facade.In a way she was naive,but not entirely.

I couldn't imagine someone like her to actually able to kill someone since it takes heart to kill which this girl clearly had a lot of.

I shut my eyes.

-If you can't kill then why are you an assassin even ? Was it also for the money ? If so then you should have become something else entirely...

Even though I couldn't see what she was doing I could still hear it,which was the sobbing that came out of her mouth...I really make a lot of woman cry lately aren't it ?

-wha...What do you even know about me ! You...you little brat ! Aren't you a idiot yourself don't think I didn't notice you always having that passive hateful demeanor ! You don't seem to hate me thats for sure,but I know that you aren't feeling good either !

I could literally feel a vein just form on my forehead pulsating intensely as I felt the boiling blood inside my veins stream agitated from her words...

-Shut up shut up shut up....shut up...I AM NOT HATEFUL

I shouted out furiously opening my eyes and walking forward towards the kneeling scar my hands were as if they moved on themselves gripping onto scars collar and raising her up to me almost choking her.My voice was hoarse and cold as I spoke to her.

-I don't need you to tell me how am I am or who I am it doesn't concern you nor do I concern you either so just shut up and take this money do what you want it doesn't matter to me since you aren't of any use even if I do hire you...

Scar looked pained,she glared at me with a even look on her face while holding my hands that were gripped on her collar.

-You...you I know that you are not from here so you won't understand a lot of things even if you do get to the capital you will have trouble navigating yourself and talking to the right people,but if you hire me then you can avoid all of these things and have me handle the rest hiring me could ensure you a lot of things that you don't need to handle yourself...ughh

Scar coughed out and honestly her words were true,I truly didn't know my way around until now it was chance that brought me this far with scar's help I also got half of my troubles erased with shopping and some small customs.

I let her go.With my grip loose again scar fell down on her knees coughing up some more as she looked up at me tearfully.My cold look didn't help her to the least as she stood up again patting off the dust on her clothes.

-I hire you

Scar froze again hearing my words she raised her head up to me surprised.

-I won't repeat myself I hire you the payment for this won't be set just yet and I will decided it after we're done,but know for sure that it will be high enough for your services,but until then don't ever do this again...you understand ?

Scar's previous courage seemed to have already vanished as she nodded to me swallowing hard.

Seeing her like this made me sigh......crazy woman.
