Wolf

Alien mansion

We got out of the hovercraft when we got to the front of the castle. We walked inside as we walked inside I let Marie know we were here through the mental network. When we walked through the door Marie showed up.

“Hello boss,” Marie said.

“Hello Marie. I brought these three gentlemen to fix up the mansion. So I hope you have the rooms ready for them. Also they will be staying for a few months so why don’t you get to know them.” Wolf didn’t know how true those words would become.

I gave the head engineer a list of stuff that needed to be fixed right away. It would take the engineers a year to fix those stuff on the list. But with those stuff fixed I would be able to use much more of the castle. It really didn’t matter how long it took as long as the power generator was fixed.

After making sure everything was being taken care of I headed back to the college campus. We still had a few more days to finish this project and I wanted a little more money in my bank account. So that I could continue to increase my capital even while I spent a lot of money fixing the castle.

So I went to see the head instructor.

“Wolf what can I do for you” asked the head instructor.

“I wanted to know when was the latest I could finish this project that we are doing right now.”

“Let’s start at the beginning did you finish the project?” Asked the head instructor.

“Yes I finished the project.”

“Let me guess you are happy with your employees. If you are happy with everything you have four more days until we continue. But if you are going to do something with those four days other than do nothing. Might I recommend going over the classes that are available to take when classes start again. Good luck with what ever it is you do” said the head instructor.

So after speaking to the head instructor I headed back to Kalnas’s office. When we finally sat down to speak with Kalnas he was looking a little surprised.

“What can I do for you this time” asked Kalnas.

“Well I’m going to have to fix up the castle. So I was wondering if you knew of anyway to make a large amount of money.”

“Well you certainly came at an interesting time. I just got off a call with the queen of the Uzbaz.”

As Kalnas said that I saw Jacob’s mouth drop open and gasp.

“Ok from the reaction that just came from Jacob I’m assuming that it’s a big thing that she contacted you.”

“Oh it’s a big thing. Give me a moment and I will explain why it’s a big thing” said Kalnas.

While I waited Kalnas stood up and went to the bar in his office and poured himself a stiff drink. Then he sat down and took a sip then sighed.

“Ok here is where we will start. They are a female dominated society as you probably know. But what you don’t know is that they are very arrogant. The arrogance comes from that they are a female dominant society and they have very advanced technology.”

“Since they are so we could do better than everyone else they haven’t asked me to do something for them since I started the company and I’m pretty sure they never asked a male for help. Because every time I tried reaching out to see if there is anything that they would want me to do I was rebuffed.”

“Now all of the sudden I get a phone call from the queen asking me to find someone for her,” said Kalnas.

“Ok I get that it’s a surprise that the queen contacted you. But that doesn’t explain why you looked like someone just told you your wife is pregnant. So what’s this surprise and shock I see on your face.”

“That would be the size of the bounty on this person’s head” answered Kalnas.

“I’m assuming the bounty was for a lot of money do you mind telling me how much money the bounty is.”

“The bounty was two point five billion lycanthrope credits or that amount in different currencies. This is one of the biggest bounties I’ve ever heard of” said Kalnas.

“Ok so what is the bounty and how much will you give me if I complete it?”

“I’ll give you two billion” answered Kalnas.

“Ok so tell me about this bounty and what it’s about.”

“Ok the queen of the Uzbaz wants me to find a lady that she says is a traitor. The queen also warned me that this spy worked for their intelligence agencies and was considered one of the best spies ever.”

“The contract is for the spy alive and in reasonably good condition. The queen has no idea where she went but she is sending me all the stuff that was in her house office and anything else she thinks we need.”

“The mission is we find her capture her bring her to the queen and get paid. Hopefully because we did a good job this time we will get more contracts from the Uzbaz. Then we come back here split the money and you go back to the war college.”

“Talking about the war college I spoke to the president of the war college about the crystals. He told me you don’t seem to need them yet when you do he will give them to you. Until then the instructor will continue to put aside the ones he thinks you will benefit from.”

“I got the feeling that the stuff the queen was sending were already on their way. So wait a few minutes and we will get the stuff from the Uzbaz and you could review it. When you do find the traitor let me know” said Kalnas.

Wolf and Jacob left Kalnas’s office and went to wait in his waiting room. A few minutes later one of Kalnas’s aides left the office and returned a few minutes later. With the aide was a small hovercraft used to transport stuff in a building. On the hovercraft was all the stuff that belonged to the Uzbaz spy. The aide gave Jacob the remote and went back to his desk.

We took the hovercraft to a conference room. We unloaded all the stuff onto the table then started going through it. The more we went through the stuff the more it didn’t feel right to me. After going through the stuff we packed it back up and put it on the hovercraft and returned it to Kalnas’s aide.

After returning the hovercraft we left Kalnas’s office and headed to Jacob’s hovercraft outside. Once we were in the hovercraft Jacob started speaking.

“Ok what’s bothering you” Jacob asked?

“I’m not sure, something just doesn’t feel right about this bounty from the Uzbaz queen.”

“Ok so what are you going to do about it?'' Asked Jacob.

“I’m not sure I need more information. Jacob when we get to our suite I want you to find out everything you can about the Uzbaz. I want to know what foods they like to who are their allies. But most importantly who are their enemies. Then when you have that information do work ups on the allies and enemies.”

“I will do it but you know it won’t be very good. I'm not an intelligence analyst” said Jacob.

“Why don’t you ask Karnas for some help he was supposed to be a very good intelligence analyst. He should be able to do a work up like this in his sleep. Then when you finish bring it to me to review so I could learn what’s going on. If I do find something that will determine how we proceed because something just doesn’t feel right.”

JACOB

“Karnas do you remember me?” Asked Jacob.

“No but I’m not good with faces so tell me who you are,” said Karnas.

“When you first came here you had the young Wolf with you. I became his companion. Now do you remember me?” Asked Jacob.

“Yes I remember you. How’s Wolf doing, I should probably come visit him. I always liked him. He was a good kid” said Karnas.

“Wolf is doing great and I’m sure he would appreciate your visit. Now I called you because I was wondering what you knew about the Uzbaz” said Jacob.

“Well I know quite a bit about them but I’m assuming you want to know what’s going on with them recently. Well the answer to that is I don’t know so I will send you all the information I have about the Uzbaz. With it I will send information about allies and enemies. You will have it in a few minutes and tell Wolf I say hello” said Karnas.

After speaking to Karnas Jacob waited to receive the information. When he received the information he went to show it to Wolf.

Wolf

“I have the information you wanted me to get. I also spoke to Karnas and he sent his regards” said Jacob.

I started reading the information about the Uzbaz. When I finished reading all the information I wasn’t sure what was bothering me so I decided to go to sleep and see how I felt in the morning.

When I woke up the next morning I still couldn’t tell what was bothering me but I moved on. I got ready for another day and went to the computer in my room and started researching the information in my head.

I spent a few hours till I found where the spy was hiding. Once I found the spy I went with Jacob to inform Kalnas about my discovery.

“Kalnas I think I found where the Uzbaz spy is hiding” I told Kalnas.

“So go get a team and capture her. No don’t do that I will go we will take my ship come on” said Kalnas.

We all left Kalnas’s office picked up his security detail and headed up to his flagship. Once on Kalnas’s flagship we headed towards the planet Octor to capture the Uzbaz spy. We approached Octor then took a hovercraft transport from Kalnas’s flagship and headed to the surface.

Once on the surface I went and found the spy. The reason the capture team was letting me lead was because I convinced Kalnas that I could get this done quickly. So I walked up to the room that the spy was staying in and rang the bell. Then I waited for it to be answered I didn’t have to wait long.

A moment later a beautiful woman opened the door and asked me what I wanted. So I told her I wanted to speak to her about something she might find interesting. She let me in but once I was through the door she was pointing a gun at me and told me to sit down.

“Ok so what is it that you want to tell me?'' asked the Uzbaz spy.

“Well I’m sure you are wondering what I’m doing here so let me tell you. Then if I’m wrong you can just shoot me and disappear. While we were headed here to Octor I figured out what was bothering me so I told her what I figured out. So your queen put out a bounty for you to be returned to the Uzbaz. Which I’m told is a big deal because this is the first time she has used mercenaries. But what bothered me was the price that was being offered for your return.”

“So I started looking into the Uzbaz because what ever it is you were just a pawn in this scenario. What I found while looking into the Uzbaz was that their enemies were getting a little restless. But like I said before what really bothered me was the money and the use of mercenaries when the queen never used them before.”

“So I started thinking about it then I realized it was quite simple. We weren’t really hired to find you we we’re hired for what that money could buy. If my assumption is correct your queen will offer Kalnas technology or something that is worth the amount of the contract. Since I like guessing I will say what will be offered is a ship.”

“Now someone would ask what was the point of all this and the answer would be obvious. You are hoping that your enemies will get the technology from us and since it is going to be better then theirs they will upgrade their fleet. But what they don’t know is that this technology is a few generations old for the Uzbaz. So when the do come after you peaple you will crush them and take planets to help alleviate the overcrowding on Uzbaz planets.”

“So the question is are you ready to return to your mother princess?”

“I never told you I was a princess how did you figure it out?” asked the princess.

“I wasn’t sure it was a hunch but thanks for confirming it for me. So again are you ready to go back to your mother?”

“Yes I’m ready to return home and to my mother. You know for a male you are quite smart” said the princess.

“Ok so if you don’t mind let’s head outside before the rest of the peaple with me come barging in.”

“Ok so let’s go” said the princess as she stood up and gave me the gun. She then turned around and let me put the security bracelets on her. Then we walked out and I handed her off to Jacob as we walked to the hovercraft transport.

When we got back to the ship I told Jacob to treat the spy like a valuable thing. Then I headed to Kalnas’s office on his flagship and watched as he got the coordinates to drop of the princess.

Once Kalnas got the coordinates he passed it on to the ship captain and we headed towards Uzbaz so we could collect the money. After we started heading towards Uzbaz space I sat down with Kalnas by dinner so I could talk with him.

“Kalnas I think you should be aware that the queen will probably offer you something instead of the two point five billion credits she owes you. You should also except what she offers you and sell that later on. It will also probably be worth more then the two point five billion credits.”

“Ok let’s say what you’re talking about happens why would I not just take the credits then what she offers instead. If I take the credits I get to invest or spend it right away I don’t have to wait to sell what I’m offered by the queen.”

“You should take what she offers because you will get something worth more then the two point five billion credits. But you will also receive more business from the Uzbaz in the future. Also doing this for the queen will open up a very lucrative market for you being a middle man.”

“As the middle man you will be able to take the ideas you sell and implement them for the mercenary company. So that would mean better technology medicine and food or anything else you act as a middleman for.”

We got to the coordinates in Uzbaz space and I decided to stay on the ship with Jacob. While Kalnas and a security team took the princess down to the queen.

Uzbaz home world planet Uzbaz

“Welcome I will take you to the queen” said the person that greeted Kalnas when he got of the hovercraft transport. The greeter brought Kalnas to the queen’s throne room and told him to go in with the spy only. So Kalnas told his security detail wait outside the throne room then he went in with the princess.

“I see you got what I asked for” said the queen as she motioned one of the guards near her to take the princess. When the security guard and the princess left the queen continued with what she was saying.

“Now as to payment I’m willing to give you the amount I owe you in advanced technology are you interested” asked the queen.

“Yes I’m interested but I hope you know I will take what I can get and then resell it” said Kalnas.

“That’s fine I was thinking of giving you a small war ship. So you would get what you wanted from it then sell it to whoever would like to pay for it. Then you would get more then the two point five billion credits that I would have given you” said the queen.

“Ok that works for me. But I don’t have a extra crew to take the ship back with me to Octor Three. So could you drop it off for me there” asked Kalnas.

“Oh there is no need for me to drop it off for you. One of the designs on the ship is tethering which will allow it to move connected to another ship. In this case that would be your flagship and all the ship would need is a minimal crew. Then when you get to your destination you untether and move it to its destination after filling the with the crew needed to crew the ship” said the queen.

“Ok thanks for that bit of information so if you don’t mind I will head up to my ship and get ready to leave” said Kalnas.

After Kalnas left the queen went to speak to her daughter the princess who she sent on this mission. After kissing and hugging her daughter the queen asked how she was found so quickly.

“I’m pretty sure I know who found me so quickly let’s discuss the whole technology thing. Then I think what I tell you will make more sense and you will also have peace of mind. Knowing that the plan you put together will work better then you intended” said the princess.

“Ok when I offered the technology instead of payment I thought Kalnas would be surprised. But he wasn’t it was almost like he knew I was going to offer it and was waiting to say yes to my offer. Like someone told him” said the queen.

“That’s probably what happened. I was sitting in the room on Octor waiting to get caught when the computer tells me there is someone at the door. So I go to answer the door and there by the door is a kid who asks to come in. When he finally sits down and starts talking I realize that he figured the plan out and will help us accomplish it. So I think he found me and told Kalnas to expect the technology. He pretty much told me that in my room” said the princess.

Well then I hope he is successful in completing the part of the plan that he took upon himself self” said the queen.

Back on Kalnas’s flagship on the way back to Octor Three. “Now you are going to go over the technology take what you want or think you can use then you are going to sell it. But you are not just going to sell it to anyone you are going to sell it to the Ucdaz. As the technology was always meant to get into the their hands. I’m also pretty sure if you do this right you will get more contracts with the Uzbaz.”

“Ok so that means we are going to have to find a way to sell it to the Ucdaz do you have any ideas Wolf” asked Kalnas.

“Just offer it to them straight and when they ask why you are offering it to them. You tell them because they would pay the most to look at the Uzbaz technology. If they ask for more information tell them you could sell the ship to someone else.”

After finishing speaking with Kalnas Wolf headed to his room to get to sleep. As always where Wolf went Jacob wasn’t far behind. The next morning at breakfast Wolf sat down with Kalnas to discuss a few more things.

One of the things that they discussed was which classes Wolf would take. Wolf told Kalnas that he would figure it out and would have the proper education for everything.
