The feeling of using all his strength but missing the target was extremely uncomfortable. Harry felt a surge of air stuck in his throat and almost couldn't breathe for a moment.
As he missed with his iron rod, the Water Rat Beast lunged forward and viciously bit his left thigh.
Harry groaned in pain, but fortunately he reacted quickly, clenching his left hand into a fist and launching "Fangs of Gluttony" downwards.
Four ten-centimeter-long Fangs of Gluttony deeply pierced into the head of the Water Rat Beast, cutting its head open.
Harry quickly lifted his left leg and kicked the Water Rat Beast with its head split into several terrible wounds away.
A Spiritual Source flew into Harry's body, and a message finally appeared in his mind.
"Level 2 Spiritweaver: Spiritual Source 4/20"
After killing one Water Rat Beast, two more appeared, one rushing towards Harry and the other towards Olivia, climbing onto the raft from left and right.
What was even more deadly was that there was still a Water Rat Beast not attacking the two people on the raft, but opening its mouth and starting to gnaw on the raft.
"Damn beast!" Harry was both shocked and angry, his body overheated, and the power of the recently absorbed Spiritual Source was spreading throughout his body, accelerating the healing of all his injuries.
Veins like earthworms appeared on the back of his right hand gripping the iron rod, and he didn't care about the Water Rat Beast rushing towards him, but turned and ran towards Olivia.
Olivia was just an ordinary girl who couldn't even kill a low-level Zombie, let alone resist the terrible Water Rat Beast.
Harry was afraid of loneliness and didn't want to be alone anymore. He needed a companion. After finally finding one, he didn't want to lose it again. Therefore, he could not let Olivia die. With a roar, Harry's speed suddenly increased, causing the raft to sway from side to side. He ran on the rocking raft, and surprisingly, his speed was even faster than the Water Rat Beast. He swung his iron rod fiercely.
With a loud "bang," the iron rod hit the back of the Water Rat Beast that was attacking Olivia.
The crisp sound of the spine breaking rang out, and the Water Rat Beast let out a sharp and mournful scream, its back collapsing.
Harry rushed too hard and lost his balance, falling off the raft and landing heavily in the water.
Caught off guard, Harry couldn't react in time and swallowed a mouthful of water, causing him to cough violently.

His back muscles were in excruciating pain, and he knew he had been bitten by the Water Rat Beast. Then his lower leg was bitten by another Water Rat Beast that appeared from the depths of the water. This one was particularly strong, biting down on his leg and pulling him deeper into the water.
Harry was choking on water, unable to speak between his nose and mouth. His back and calf were bitten by two Water Rat Beasts that were dragging him into the water.
All of this happened in a matter of seconds, Harry was pulled into the water, his nose, mouth, and eyes submerged. The last thing he heard was Olivia's cry of surprise.
"It's over," Harry thought.
He didn't think he was finished, but he understood the danger Olivia was in. Although he had broken the spine of the Water Rat Beast attacking her, no one knew how many other Water Rat Beasts were hiding around them. Just as he fell into the water, he was attacked by two more Water Rat Beasts. They wouldn't spare Olivia either.
Her cry of surprise clearly meant she was attacked. Olivia was just an ordinary little girl and there was no chance she could survive a Water Rat Beast attack.
She was as good as dead.
Thinking of Olivia's death filled Harry with indescribable grief and anger.
Those damn monsters.
Sinking into the water, Harry held his breath, his body rotating and contracting in a sudden bend. Although he didn't shake off the Water Rat Beast biting his back, the Fangs of Gluttony in his left hand had already pierced the Water Rat Beast biting his calf.
The Fangs of Gluttony were extremely sharp, and they cut deep wounds into the back of the Water Rat Beast's head and neck. The wounds were nearly ten centimeters deep, almost severing the Water Rat Beast's neck.
As a Spiritual Source entered his forehead, a message appeared in his mind.
"Level 2 Spiritweaver: Spiritual Source 5/20"
At the same time, he counterattacked with his right arm, delivering a heavy blow to the Water Rat Beast biting his back. Suddenly, he saw three more black shadows rising rapidly from the water below, heading towards him.
It was three more Water Rat Beasts.
Harry felt a chill down his spine as he witnessed this.
Just then, he heard a "splash" sound, the sound of something heavy falling into the water. It came from above his head, and Harry looked up to see someone falling from the raft into the water.
"Is it Olivia? No, her body isn't that large."
These were all fleeting thoughts, for the person falling into the water had already stretched out and was swimming more nimbly than a fish. In a moment, the person had evaded Harry and plunged into the depths of the water, delivering a punch to the Water Rat Beast biting Harry's back.
The punch seemed weak, and it didn't even break the Water Rat Beast's skin, but the beast suddenly rolled its eyes and dropped dead, with a Spiritual Source flying out of its body towards the person.
Harry suddenly realized that this was another stranger, just like him, a Spiritweaver. He had just jumped into the water from the raft, punched the Water Rat Beast biting Harry's back to death, and was now following the three Water Rat Beasts coming up from below.
The three Water Rat Beasts quickly scattered as if startled, with one pouncing on Harry and the other two attacking the submerged figure.
Harry swung his legs and body upward, and the Water Rat Beast chased closely behind, almost biting his leg. Suddenly, Harry's legs contracted and his body moved downward. His left arm extended, and the Fangs of Gluttony slashed the Water Rat Beast.
The Water Rat Beast with its neck cut by the Fangs of Gluttony spewed a large amount of blood and nearly had its neck completely severed, with only a small piece of skin and flesh still holding it together. The creature immediately died.
Harry obtained another Spiritual Source, and his total Spiritual Source count increased to 6/20.
The large figure that had submerged in the water was incredibly agile, moving like a spirit fish to dodge one of the Water Rat Beasts' attacks. Its right arm stretched out, and its fist struck another Water Rat Beast's head heavily.
