Chapter 15 Stubbornness

Chapter 15 Stubbornness

Harry was staring at the cat's eye on the security door. To him, the huge single eye was like staring at him through the cat's eye.

My hair inexplicably stood on end when the huge frog suddenly stopped gnawing on the corpse. It planted its hind legs down and rushed towards me with its colossal body like a gust of wind.

Harry tightened his hands, and the cat's eye was suddenly blocked by the monster. He couldn't see anything, followed by a loud bang. The security door shook, and dust fell around the door frame.

The huge frog hit the security door with great force, causing two loud noises. The security door shook violently. Harry's scalp tingled as he stepped back. Although the frog couldn't break through the security door, the dust on the surrounding walls fell down. One can imagine how powerful the impact was.

"Fortunately, I didn't take the risk of rushing out. This guy's strength is simply too scary." Harry looked at the vibration caused by the security door being hit, his scalp tingling. He knew that the strength of this giant frog was much greater than his own. If he had just rushed out, even though he had a weapon, the consequences would have been disastrous.

The giant frog continued to hit the security door. Harry watched as the door frame shook and the walls, which were heavily coated with lime, showed small cracks. A lot of lime debris fell down.

Although he knew that the giant frog couldn't break through the security door, Harry couldn't help but feel nervous as he watched the intense vibrations. He tightly gripped a kitchen knife and a hammer, and the veins on the back of his hands slowly bulged out like tiny earthworms.

Suddenly, the banging stopped.

"Did it give up?" Harry hurried forward and looked out through the peephole. He saw the giant frog facing the security door, retreating towards the back of the corridor. It opened up some distance between itself and the door, and a large wound appeared on its flat head, with fresh blood slowly seeping out.

The giant frog retreated five or six meters, paused briefly, and then suddenly kicked off the ground and charged towards the security door again, moving as fast as the wind.

Harry saw it all, and his scalp began to tingle. "It's so persistent! It hasn't given up even though it's injured. This guy really is stubborn."

There was a loud bang, and this time the impact produced an even louder noise and more intense vibrations. More small cracks appeared around the door frame, and a large amount of small lime debris fell down.

Then, the giant frog retreated again, gathered its strength, and once again charged towards the security door.

Repeatedly like this, the wound on its head grew bigger and bigger, but not much blood flowed out. Harry saw it in his eyes. Although he knew it was impossible to break through the security door, he felt a faint fear deep in his heart.

This kind of crazily persistent monster is really terrifying. If you confront it head-on, it will be endless. Fortunately, this security door is strong enough, and it cannot break through it.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Harry stood behind this security door and silently watched this giant frog through the peephole. He saw it retreat again, and the wound on its head became more and more alarming, but the blood flowing out completely stopped. Not only that, there was a layer of soft white fur growing in the wound, which was not very obvious at first, but became more and more obvious with this retreat.

"It's a spiritual source." Harry took a deep breath.

Watching the giant frog once again creating distance, Harry originally thought it would charge again, but unexpectedly it backed away and didn't come rushing forward. Instead, it turned around, suddenly leaped, and heavily hit the window on the side of the corridor.

The window frame was hit by it, immediately twisting outwards. Its flat body squeezed in, with a bang, disappearing from the corridor and jumping into the water outside the corridor window, splashing water everywhere.

"It finally gave up." Watching it leave and return to the water, Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

Immediately, Harry thought of something, his ten fingers tightening unconsciously. He turned around and looked towards the balcony on the side.

His balcony was very close to the corridor.

Thinking of the giant frog's persistence in continuously hitting the security door, even when it was bleeding, how could it suddenly change its mind and leave?

Could it be...

Harry thought of this possibility and his heart trembled. Just as he looked towards the balcony, he heard a splash of water. A huge black shadow jumped out of the water outside the balcony, with its front legs resting on the window sill, and a flat and ugly head sticking in.

Furry white hair sprouted from the wound on its head, like a huge mouth mocking Harry's naivety. Its huge single eye widened, and the eyeball inside was rolling fiercely, showing an indescribable ferocity.

A strong sense of crisis made Harry shudder and his mouth went dry. He witnessed with his own eyes the speed and terrifying power of this giant frog hitting the security door. If he were hit, the consequences would be unimaginable.

But Harry still rushed up without hesitation.

While the monster had not completely entered yet, this was his only chance. Otherwise, once it rushed into the living room, everything would be over.

Previously, Harry fought with numerous mutated monsters and gained some combat experience. He understood that this was not the time to be afraid of death, so he attacked with all his strength, swinging both his cleaver and hammer at the same time.

The cleaver aimed for the gaping wound on the head of the giant frog, while the hammer targeted the eyeball rolling around on its face.

If he can hit that eyeball, his chances of winning will be much higher.

Just now, a giant frog stretched its head into the window, with its front legs resting on the windowsill. It did not expect Harry's quick reaction and rushed towards him without hesitation.

All of this happened in an instant. The monster did not back down but opened its large mouth, revealing rows of small teeth and a blood-red tongue that shot out like an arrow.

It not only had terrifying speed and power, but its tongue was also formidable. It was made up of muscular tissues and had tremendous strength, which was its primary weapon for capturing prey.

Harry only felt his vision blur as a pungent odor hit his nose. He knew it was bad and instinctively leaned to the left, but still couldn't completely dodge the attack. His right shoulder was in excruciating pain, as if being whipped by an iron whip. In the midst of his screams, the hammer he was holding in his right hand slipped and flew out, and his body fell heavily backwards.

Harry never expected that the tongue of this giant frog had such terrifying power, and his body was directly knocked away.

The giant frog used its forelimbs to forcefully squeeze its body through the window, distorting and deforming the window frames, which could not stop it at all.

As soon as it landed, it pounced towards Harry.

Harry fell to the ground and rolled towards the sofa on one side. He watched the huge black shadow pounce towards him, endured the severe pain in his right shoulder and lifted the sofa. He let out a roar and unleashed his internal strength, using the sofa as a weapon to strike.
