Limit

Kairon was beyond ecstatic.

He couldn't believe, he would be running into the Legendary Rennayan, much less capture one.

He climbed out of the ice, brushing some off his shoulder, as he walked towards the giant pair of hands.

He felt tremors.

Then an eruption of fire, melted out an opening from the hands.

Tobi walked out charred from the smoke.

"I'm not done yet."

He said, glaring at Kairon.

"You are making this harder than it needs to be."

Kairon responded back.

They engaged swords drawn.

Tobi reinforced himself with lightning to match the Kairon's speed.

Then applied flames with each strike.

Cutting off Kairon's sword.

Kairon jumped back, summoning twenty more golems to cover the distance.

I can win, Tobi thought, it was just his stamina.

He was already out of breath.

Breathing heavy intervals.

He remembered from the briefing, the children of Atlas use their lifespan to fight and regenerate.

So he needed to finish him off in one go.

Far off, he could hear soldiers swarming in.

He was running out of time. He pondered what he could do.

Tobi realized he had only one option.

A move, he had attempted many times during private training.

Due to the circuits, of energy that he was able to see, when he first awakened his powers, he had a better sense of the flow of energy.

During training he accidentally drained all the energy from the surrounding forest, due to him pulling too much.

Killing thousands of habitual life.

Osei had explained to him that it was natural to be able to draw energy.

However Rennayan's could only draw a portion, only if the creature or entity allowed them.

He vowed to never draw energy after that.

Kairon had a golem bring him an axe from a fallen soldier.

Undeterred, Tobi shook his head and focused.

"Onwards!"

Kairon yelled, as he sent his golems forward.

A few hundred soldiers, poured in from all surrounding tents, gunning for Tobi.

Clouds formed and gathered above.

Thunder bellowed through them.

Then a flash of lightning struck down with an explosion.

Seemingly coming out of a lightning strike, Osei landed in front of Tobi, dropping to one knee.

Sending an electric shockwave of dust storms throughout the camp, knocking out many soldiers and golems.

Osei was badly injured, left arm, visibly broken, and his body covered in blood.

He had blue pulsing veins on his body, flickering.

"Osei!"

Tobi called out happily.

Osei responded back, still keeping an eye on Kairon.

"Mission's not done."

His breathing was jagged.

Kairon was annoyed.

"You should have stayed down. Were you hiding him from us, for the past 20 years?"

His voice was full of anger.

"After we let you live and sheltered you!"

Shouting at the top of his lungs.

Osei wasn't having it.

"Anything is better than being your possession. The universe would do better with one less of any of you guys!".

He clad himself in electricity, as Tobi continued to focus.

Then Osei lunged.

Breaking sound barriers.

He cut through the earth golems like butter. Almost making it to Kairon, only to be stopped by the metal golem.

Tobi raised his right hand and dropped it, simultaneously crushing the metal golem, like an invisible giant hand formed above it.

Osei, noticing his brother's growth and support, didn't miss a beat and he swung at Kairon.

Kairon parried as many incoming blows from Osei as he could.

Blood sprayed out of him regardless, as cuts started appearing randomly over his body.

Osei smashed a golem trying to grab him from behind and with a flash of electricity cuts Kairons arm off.

Golems swarmed in try to grab him Osei as he jumped back, swinging

Kairon screamed.

Kairon used his lifespan to heal his injuries.

They slowly closed up.

His arm, slowly formed back.

Making metallic sounds as nano tech climbed over each other shaping a new arm.

He was using too much of his lifespan for this fight, he thought.

Kairon gazed at the brothers.

He could tell they were at their limit too.

One more push and it would be over.

Tobi ignored everything going on around him and focused.

He could feel the energy of dying soldiers around him and some that were unconscious.

It would be easier to take their energy, although not morally good.

He did it anyways.

Shimmering lights started making their way towards him.

Picking up wind currents as it did so.

Circles of fire, appeared around him, keeping him as the epicentre.

The ground began to crack up, into tiny pieces.

The clouds got darker, as thunder boomed through them.

Their surroundings started getting colder.

The soldiers he stole energy from, turned into husks as if they've been dried out for years.

Then he put his hands to his right side, cupped them half open, forming a condensed ball of fire.

Added electricity to it, as it made crackling sounds, sparking within the sphere.

Osei and Kairon noticed the build up of energy.

They turned their attention towards him.

Kairon yelled out.

"What is that... what are you doing?!"

Tobi responded, looking up to glare at him.

"I'm putting everything I have into this!"

Tobi was fighting for his life, keeping the raging ball of energy in his hands.

Osei knew something big was coming.

He had never seen his brother use this move properly before.

He jumped back far enough.

It wasn't Tobi's first time trying this out.

This move always failed since he didn't have enough energy.

Placing all his hopes on this, he put his hands in front of him.

Facing the sphere of fire and electricity towards Kairon.

"Ignite: Static Cannon!"

The ball of energy in front of his palms, cracked.

A beam of fire and electricity shot out of his hands.

Burning the landscape in front of him and causing a ring of clouds around it.

The ground got eaten up with the blast.

Tobi held his ground.

Sinking slowly, as the ground below his feet gave way.

His eyes turned from brown to blue, like Osei's.

Kairon instinctively put up four dirt walls in front of him, trying to block the beam, to no avail.

The beam of fire burned through the walls reaching him.

His life flashed before his eyes as he screamed

"Impossible-!".

The beam enveloped him, blasting right past and incinerating his body.

His HQ went up in flames as the beam struck, causing a deafening explosion.

Tobi, dropped to the floor, having a seizure.

Frost formed on his body, simultaneously with third degree burns.

A side effect of over using his abilities.

Osei was aware of this and grabbed, a painkiller, that Sarah had prepared them in his belt.

Then proceeded to stab Tobi in the arm, with a syringe.

Plunging the contents in him.

Tobi, started to calm down, but he was out cold.

His body stopped shaking, but third degree burns still appeared on his skin.

Osei ran over to check the destroyed structure, to see if the prince survived.

He'd been incinerated to ashes.

Relieved, Osei yelled out a cry of victory.
