Norah summoned a massive lightning strike.
Striking herself multiple times trying to maintain it within her body.
Nur hopped on an ice platform, keeping some distance from the rampant electricity.
She maintained the armour on Norah even though it kept melting.
"Static: Berserker!"
Norah leaped at Catoria.
Both throwing series of punches and kicks at each other.
Each strike Norah took resounded, throughout her body, shaking her bones, but she didn't let up.
Catoria blasted her back, with a fist of fire, unfazed by any of Norah's attacks.
Norah stumbled back, her arms burned, from blocking the attack.
Nur healed them right away, then volleyed ice balls at Catoria.
They melted in the air once they came within one meter.
Catoria was gathering energy, her body was steaming, and rings of fire crushed the ground.
Then she leaped at Norah, feinting a punch as Norah prepared to block.
Instead she grabbed Norah, by the waist.
Her arms burning Norah, as she rocketed into the sky.
Norah elbowed her and punched Catoria's face over and over.
Catoria pushed Norah up above her and started punching Norah in her gut into the sky.
Norah freefalled up, trying to catch her breath, then Catoria, appeared above her in a blur.
Smashing her down with her hands locked together.
Norah rocketed down to ground, creating a crater as tremors and exploded out with her as the epicentre.
Nur watched horrified, then rushed over to heal her.
Catoria descended still floating above them.
Norah was coughing blood.
Some internal bleeding, her bones were broken, she though to herself, as she faded in an out of consciousness.
Nur freaked out, seeing how Norah's injuries were beyond her capabilities.
She looked back up at Catoria.
"I've got a lot of things to do. So I'm going to end this quickly. Thanks for helping me stretch a bit."
A white flaming ball of fire floated above her palm.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
She pointed it at them.
"Goodbye now."
Norah looked at the ball of fire.
It was certain death.
She wished she could stop it, but she could barely move her body.
She looked at Nur, who was still staring at the attack, scared out of her mind.
"Listen to me Nur, you have to run for it. Leave me, go to the Aratris or Tobi. Just get as far away from here as possible.
Nur looked back down at Norah.
"I can't... I can't leave you."
Norah smiled.
"You're brave, one day you'll be one of the greatest heroes. Don't waste your life here."
Nur looked at Norah's eyes.
The eyes of someone who had accepted death.
How could she, dare to leave her friend here.
She remembered Norah's words at the beginning of the fight.
To do something while she still could.
She knew she would regret it, if she left Norah and ran.
She glared, back up at Catoria who had just released the devastating attack towards them.
Making up her mind.
"No, if I had to leave you to die... when I can still help. I would never forgive myself!"
One hand still healing Norah and the other pointing up towards the attack.
"Frost: Ranikot Fort!"
A massive dome appeared above them, layered in hundreds of layers of ice and shaped in a fortress.
The blast hit the dome, and started melting through it.
However Nur held up her hands, forcing any dormant energy within her out to stop this attack.
The air temperature started dropping rapidly, as her breathing formed vapor and turquoise veins rushed all over her body.
She willed the ball to stop.
Her dome shook like it was in the middle of an earthquake, as the ball was about to break through.
Then she yelled one more time.
The ball of fire stopped descending and froze, half broken through.
She panted then redirected all her energy into healing Norah.
She maintained first gear.
"I'm not going to let you die, but I can't beat her alone. Please help me, Norah."
Norah watched her in amazement.
She slowly started getting back up, with Nur's help.
"You did great. I knew you had it in you... I can't be lying down, when you're working so hard... We can still finish this in one move, but I'll need you to constantly focus on healing me."
Norah said smiling at her.
Nur took medicine booster in her belt and plunged it into Norah.
Catoria was surprised that Nur was able to stop her attack.
"Great effort in delaying the inevitable... If it took all you had to stop the first one... Then what will you do about the second one?"
On queue, she raised her right hand once more, creating one even bigger than the last.
The heat razed the ground as Norah and Nur braced themselves from the hot winds.
"Nur, stand back."
Nur did as she was told, then frosted Norah's arms and controlled them to do as Norah wished.
Her hands parted some distance as a rotating electric ball formed, rotating at light speed.
The darkest clouds gathered, shocking her with more lightning than she had ever accumulated in her life.
She almost fell over, as her vision started to blur.
Then she gritted her teeth and refocused on the enemy in front of her.
There was a rotation of hazardous electricity breaking the ground around Norah, as Nur tried keeping up with Norah's injuries.
The blue veins that flickered off of Norah, came back glowing cobalt blue.
Her eyes flickered hazel, as streaks of silver ran down her hair.
She looked at Catoria who was watching, interested in their futile attempt.
However she felt the enormous energy Norah was starting to output and poured a bit more into her final attack.
She pointed it back down to them.
"Die already! Midnight's Star!
The ball launched at sonic speed.
Norah faced her sphere at Catoria.
"It's time for you to head back to hell!"
Then released it as the sphere cracked open, a beam raced forth colliding with the ball of fire.
"Converge: Saeiqa!"
The electric beam ate up the ball of fire in an explosion and engulfed Catoria as she resisted, exploding a flame barrier to keep from being incinerated.
"I can't die. I can't die. There is no way I can be defeated by insects!
Norah was burning up, and her hands shook profoundly.
Nur held up, holding Norah's hands steady with ice, and constantly healing her.
Nur reached her hands up and froze the flame barrier as the beam broke through it and incinerated Catoria.
Norah dropped to her knees, suffering from a seizure, as smoke trailed out of her mouth and her transformation turned off.
There was a smell of burnt electricity in the air.
Nur ran to her and kept healing her.
Norah was already unconscious.
"We did it, Norah! You are... really amazing you know that."
Nur gave her soft smile, as Norah slept.
