“Or.” I think I hear a soft voice but I’m not entirely sure.
“Orvar.” I hear again but still don’t know who it is.
“Orvar, it’s time to wake up.” I heard the voice again but this time clearer than the last times.
As I opened my eyes I see my mother trying to wake me up.
‘What happened last night, after I went to sleep?’
“You are awake.” My mother saw that I have woken up.
She lifted me up to take me away from the room, as we are walking I could still feel that I am half asleep.
After some time we entered a room, the room was big and had a giant person bed for two people in it. I saw my father still asleep in the bed, it was so obvious that he rolled over to the other side of the bed where my mother was laying just moments ago.
‘Why did she take me here?’ I questioned myself.
She sits down on the other side of the bed from where my father is lying.
With a soft voice my mother whispered to me. “We will go back home today so just rest some more. In the meantime will I get our stuff so we can leave directly after breakfast.”
She lays me down on the bed before waking up my father. She also whispers something to him but I couldn’t hear what she was saying. My father turned around and saw me lying on the bed with him, so he knew he needed to watch out for me so I wouldn’t fall off the bed when he rolls over.
Then my mother walked out of the room. As my mother closed the door my father moves closer to me.
He whispers. “He Orvar you can try to sleep I won’t wake you up, at least I will try my best okay?”
‘I hope for you that you will let me sleep, otherwise I will cry the whole way back.’ I threatened him in my mind.
He tried to stay really quiet so I could go back to sleep, he wasn’t lying about what he said. After some time when I almost fell back asleep, my mother came back in the room, but this time she came back with Arora.
Also this time she whispered something into her ear before Arora moved to the bed and our mother walked back out of the room.
With also Arora in the bed there are two obvious sides, the first one is my side who wanted to sleep that is only me, and the second side was Arora and our father who are whispering so I could sleep.
After a few minute I fell asleep, before I knew it I had a strange dream.
Leo Gearsmith
“Simon! Come here!” I screamed to let Simon know it was important.
Simon came running into my workplace. The young boy with silver hair was still catching his breath, until his brown eyes fell on the thing where I was working on.
“Professor Gearsmith, What is that?” He asked me with his mouth wide open.
“I don’t have a name for it yet, but a name will come soon for this awesome invention.” I told him while looking at the invention I made so far.
The invention is a front tire and a back tire. Within those two tires are pieces of metal that holds it together.
“I am not done yet, I still need to find a way for it to be able to move and steer.”
“This is genius. How didn’t we think of this earlier? If you do this right everyone will buy it I’m sure of it.”
Simon walked a little closer to my very own invention. “I can’t stop thinking about how good this idea is.” He paused and turned to me. “What inspired you for this idea professor Gearsmith?”
I waited a moment before I answered him. “I wanted to invent a new way to transport people. That is where I came with this idea, The wheels will only move if these pedals are being moved.”
I moved the pedals and on that same moment the wheels also began to move.
“So if you sit on top of it and move the pedals with your feet you will move forward, if you want to stop moving you move the pedals to the other side.” I explained to Simon.
He listened carefully to what I explained to him. “So how will people be able to make turns?”
“I don’t have idea for that, Simon.”
He began to think really hard about the idea, while he was thinking he walked around the room.

“You know you mutter when you are thinking?” I told him.
“Shut up, I am thinking about an idea to make tu-.” He suddenly stopped and walked away.
“Simon! Where are you going?” I asked him but I didn’t get an answer.
I know he will come back with something so I walked to the kitchen to make some coffee. While I am waiting for the coffee I looked in the small mirror hanging on the wall. “I am getting old.” I muttered to myself while brushing my hand through my grey hair.
I stoke trough my long grey beard. “I really need to get it cut a bit shorter.”
Before the coffee was done Simon walked back into the room, he had a metal tube in his hands.
“The coffee isn’t done yet.” I said to him.
“I don’t need coffee right now, because I think I got a solution for our turning problem.” I walked to Simon while he was talking.
While I walked to him he runed to the workbench to get a roll of tape. As I walked closer I could see what his intentions are, he came back with the tube and the tape. I stepped aside for him while he is holding the tube on the invention.
“Can you hold this for a moment?” Simon asked, so I hold it for him.
As I held the tube for him he began to tape the tube to another piece of metal on the invention. It took him thirty seconds to tape the tube so it couldn’t move.
“With this people can just drive it and turn whenever they want.” Simon showed me proudly.
I inspected the idea of him, after some time I told him. “This is fantastic how didn’t I think of the earlier? With a tube as a steer can people just make turns whenever they want, they don’t even need to be stuck at the steer.”
I looked at Simon. “We need to work this out so it will be safe and convenient.”
He nodded at me. “sounds like a plan for me, so if we want to do this th-“ I cut him off.
“You want some coffee?”
“Sure.”
As I went to get the coffee I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea of the steer. Simon is so smart I can only be happy he wanted to work for me. I handed the coffee over to Simon.
‘How couldn’t I think of this idea?’ I wondered while staring into my coffee.
“Everything okay, professor Gearshift?” Simon asked a bit worried.
I looked up. “Yes everything is okay, where are you waiting for we aren’t done yet so get back to work!”
“Yes sir!” Simon said with a big smile on his face. While he run off to go back working on our invention.
Orvar Artic
“Wake up Orvar we are going to eat dinner.” I heard my sister say while waking me up from my strange dream.
I saw my father all dressed up with my sister ready to go out and I am still lying here. My father lifted me up to get me dressed too, I couldn’t help but think about the dream I got just in this small nap.
‘Was it even a dream it felt more like a vision. Who are professor Gearshift and Simon?’
I couldn’t figure out what that vision was, nor why I got to see that vision. What where they even making? Am I supposed to also create things based on this vision?
When I was all dressed up my father took me with my sister back to the room with the giant table where we had dinner last night. As we walked into the room, I can see the royal family of the elf’s, thay already have taken a seat at the table. Only one person was still missing and that was my mother, it seemed like no one knew where she was.
My father sits down on a seat with me on his lap and Arora next to us. There was an awkward silence, the same could be said for the tension in the room. It was easy to read and it felt like something just happened and everyone know about it except for me.
The silence was broken when Evelyn pointed at me and said repeatedly. “Book…Took you.”
“Evelyn let’s just enjoy this silent breakfast okay?” Her mother Violet said to calm her down. This time her hair was hanging loose instead of the braid how it was yesterday.
After that everyone began eating there breakfast in silence. After a minute or ten my mother came inside the room and sat down, she also began eating in silence.
After breakfast we went to go back home, the trip back wasn’t as long as the way to the castle, but again my mother didn’t say a word. My father and my sister did talk to each other.
‘Why can’t I be with them I want to have something to listen to instead of doing nothing.
After we came home the sun was already setting so we ate dinner almost directly the moment we came back. And again my mother didn’t say a word, my sister and father where talking like during the trip.
Out of nowhere my mother opened her mouth to say something. We all waited in silence until she said what she wanted to say, but she closed her mouth again and didn’t say anything.
‘It looked like everyone today knew what was going on but no one told me anything, but why didn’t they tell me anything?’ I thought while eating.
After I was done with dinner my parents put me into bed, when we where all done with everything we did before I went to sleep my mother whispered into my ear.
“I am sorry about today but I will tell you one day what is going on.”
After that I fell asleep.
I’m now four years old and I am training every day to form my mind core. My parents even made my own little shack where I can train in peace. My sister also trains everyday but she is trying to manifest her own magic.
I haven’t gotten another vision then that night, but in these for years I have made the tires of the invention to copy it.
I’m now meditating to gather mana for a mind core, if people meditate they always do it in a place where there is no sound so no one can disturb them. If you get disturbed while gathering mana you lose all the mana you had gathered so far.
I am doing this for the past two years now everyday, so I think I am close to form my mind core.
I feel the tiny pieces of mana gather in my body, it reminds me of the conversation with Naru that spark. All the pieces of mana have gathered to the point where my mind core will be located.
The mana is forming my mind core from the outer layers to the inner layers.
‘I can’t believe I am manifesting my own mind core just now, I need to focus before I lose the mana I have gathered so far.’
I concentrated more and more on the mana in my body and after a few moments I was glowing, giving off a blinding light.
My father saw the light coming from my shack and signed to Arora to look. She turned around and run to the shack, my father tried to stop her but she was too fast.
She opened the door and her mouth dropped open when she saw me glowing.
Her jaw moved but no words came out.
After my father also stood by the shack his mouth also dropped open. A moment later I stopped glowing and saw both of them staring at me.
“What?” I asked confused.
“Y-You just.” My father pointed at me.
Arora came running at me and gave me a big hug. “You have formed your mind core!!” she said happy while hugging me.
“You really did.” My father said.
I just simply nodded to both of them.
“Then you can train with me. And what kind of magic are you going to invest in?” Arora asked.
“Slow down he just formed his mind core, so Orvar must be very tired.” He winked at me helping me with my enthusiast sister.
I nodded at him as a thanks for his help with my sister.
