Everyone could feel the pressure of the old queen in the air. ‘On which shell is she?’ I kept wondering to myself as I saw her standing in the doorway.
The pressure in the store grew stronger as she looked around with a sharp gaze. Her gaze was like a kitchen knife cutting through butter.
Eventually she talked. “Stand up all of you!” she demanded coldly.
Of all this pressure my body couldn’t help but shake. I didn’t wanted my body to start shaking, but I couldn’t control my own body because of all the pressure.
“You all know you don’t need to bow when I come around, but all of you still did, so tell me, why?” She continued while looking around.
At this time my mother saw that I was shaking and started to comfort me by holding me close to her.
A slim man in the corner of the store spoke up. “I am terribly sorry, but I think I speak for everyone here.” He paused for a moment and catching his breath before continuing. “Even if you madam Aria aren’t a queen anymore, you are still one of the few first shell mage’s.”
After I heard those words I couldn’t help but almost scream in my mind. ‘A first shell mage!!!??? There are only a hand full of those and I am being accompanied by one!’
After the words fell no one dared to even move an inch in case they made a single wrong move.
When the old queen heard the words of the slim man a wide grin appeared on her face.
“Should I show you that this old retired woman can still do something?” The eyes of the old queen began to glow bright blue, the temperature in the room also dropped drastically.
“Hold the children warm!” The giant bold man managed to say.
As the room became colder and colder I wanted to look more badly. Eventually I managed to turn my head around, being able to get a sight of the woman.
‘That light next to her heart. How? That isn’t possible a mind core is located at the lower back not next to the heart.’
There were also many parent who tried their best to protect their children.
After a very long and cold minute a high pitched voice sounded to come from behind the old queen who was showing of her magic.
“Grandma! Stop! People are going to freeze to death!” The voice called out.
I couldn’t see the figure where the voice came from but it sounded like an little girl. A young girl just one year younger then Arora.
The old queen stopped immediately after hearing the voice.
“I am sorry, I got a little carried away.” She said to the little girl who I still couldn’t see.
Then she pushed herself through the entrance passed her grandma.
The little girl was definitely a year younger the Arora. She was wearing a big sweater that reached to her knees. Under her long sweater she wore big brown shoes made for the snow. Her long golden blond hair was tied down in a high pony tail.
‘Who could she be, the princess maybe?’
Her eyes were looking around in worry. “Look what you have done. All those people were scared like-“ she paused for a moment trying to think of another sentence. “ They are scared very scared even.”
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
She turned to her grandma. “Now apologize to them.” She pointed at the people in the store.
‘It doesn’t matter who she is, but she is definitely the more mature one of these two.’
“I am sorry everyone, I wasn’t in clearly thought. I’m sorry.” She apologised.
“Now that is better. Let’s just continue-“ She didn’t finish her sentence before sprinting our way.
“Arora! I didn’t know you even came here.” she said happy to see my sister.
“And I didn’t knew you would come today.” My sister answered happy.
“You can all continue with the shopping you were doing.” The old queen said while clapping in her hands before also walking to us.
Everyone slowly started to go back to the shopping, I understood them after what happened just now, out of nowhere.
“It’s good to see you Echo, I haven’t seen you in a while neither did Arora I think.” My mother said to Echo with a warm smile.
I am still shaking after the drop of the temperature the old queen caused. My mother was also still trying to warm me up.
“Who is this cute little boy?” The old queen asked my mother.
My mother chuckled and answered. “This is Orvar he is now just four months old”
“His development is going real fast can already crawl like his life depends on it. So sometimes it is hard to catch him.”
“Then he is just almost a year younger than Evelyn.” The old queen said to my mother.
She nodded. “That’s right he isn’t that much younger than the little princess. How is she doing?”
Echo and my sister already run of to play with each other.
“She is doing really well, although she is just beginning to walk.” She said.
“Sophie you should come with us for dinner. I think everyone would love that.” She looked at Echo and Arora playing.
My mother also looked and answered. “yes that would be great but Matthew is still at home so we can’t go away or he doesn’t have any dinner.”
“That isn’t a problem. Then I will let a guard escort him to Tirion castle directly, so he will be in time for dinner.” She explained.
My mother nodded.
“So I will order a guard to escort Matthew to Tirion castle. Are you also agreeing to that, Orvar?” She looked at me joking but I nodded as an answer to her question.
She looked with disbelief at me.
“He just answered me right?” She asked my mother pointing at me.
My mother simply nodded at her before calling my sister.
Echo and my sister directly came.
“Aria here just asked if we could eat dinner with Echo in the castle. Are the both of you okay with that?” She looked at the both of them.
“Really!” Both Echo and my sister said at the same time, both their eyes filled with happiness.
“But what about dad?” Arora asked to our mother.
“He will also come but not with us.” Aria answered.
Echo and my sister both exchanged one last look at each other before both nodding eagerly.
“Then we will eat dinner with each other.” My mother said to Aria.
“Can we go now?” Echo asked her grandma.
Aria looked at my mother for an answer. “Of course we can go now direct, but I want you to act polite, Arora.” My mother said while looking at my sister.
She continued to talk only this time to me. “And I want you to be able to sleep after we’re done with eating.” She knew I couldn’t answer that question.
“That won’t be a problem I think. If there is no room in the castle, what I doubt he can sleep in Evelyn her room for that short time.” Aria reassured my mother.
“Let’s go then.” Arora said making the decision while walking to the entrance with Echo following her.
Aria and my mother looked at each other and nodded before also walking outside.
My mother looks around when we were outside. “How did you come here?”
Aria chuckled and gave her an answer. “We came here with the teleportation circle of course. We are royalty after all, we don’t walk such long ends.”
“That explains things.” My mother answered while watching Arora.
When we were at the teleportation circle, we saw Arora lying on the ground studying the circle. I also studied it fast, it is a bit easier to see it from higher up then from the ground.
The teleportation circle was blue mixed with green and pink. It looked like a pool of colours where you can swim in, but Arora and Echo already stood on it and it didn’t look like they are standing on water. The outer ring of the circle is grey with black symbols drawn on it.
When I saw the teleportation circle I thought. ‘This circle looks really weird. Do all these circle’s look like this or are they all different?’
Aria also stood on the circle but we didn’t. “Are you ready, Sophie? Nothing will happen with you or Orvar. I can assure you.” She tried to comfort my mother who looked a bit scared to use it.
Arora walked over to us and pulled our mother into the circle. “Are you ready mom?” She asked.
Our mother nodded. “This is my first time using it so.”
“It isn’t anything special.” Aria said to my mother while placing a hand on her shoulder.
Directly after that the circle was beginning to give off a purple glow. It looked like the circle was burrowing itself under ground, while it feels like we are floating. My mother began panicking a bit.
The teleportation was around five minutes long maybe less it is hard to tell.
