A new dawn had begun for the half-elf named Cindy. A new dawn as an assassin, to be precise; for today was her first day as a fully licensed member of The Fam. Through trials and hardships, the girl had dreamed of this moment. The moment where she'd finally be accepted and loved by the people around her. A family that would always be there for her through thick and thin. Although it wasn't her preferred line of work, the half-elf still chose to dive head-first into her new life, if it meant that she wouldn't be alone anymore. And the girl was no longer alone. She had Kai, Ben, Amy, and Aria. She had Jon, the boy she took in. She had her roommate, Zel, who she got along well with. Not only that, but she also had her friend, Elie, who supported her through it all. Ever since moving to Baldimore, Cindy had met so many kind people, that it was hard for the once heavily discriminated half-elf to wrap her mind around it. But, there she was, standing straight up in Ben's office, nervously waiting to receive her official assassin's license. It would be a stressful and dangerous job, she knew that. But, if she could always return home and confide in the family she had wanted for so long, she'd endure and preserve her new life, no matter what it took.
I'm ready.
"All right, let's get straight to business this morning, in my office. Again.... No, seriously, why does everything always have to be in my office?!" Ben exclaimed. "Ahem... Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I've gathered you all here today, in order to formally welcome our newest members of The Fam. Kai and Cindy, we warmly welcome you to our family. Anything you need, don't hesitate to ask!" Ben said, enthusiastically addressing the small crowd. "Cindy, Kai, the two of you make the ninth and tenth members of our assassins unit. Together, you two will form squad five, carrying out contracts and missions together."
"Yes sir!" Kai and Cindy said in unison.
Present in the office were the three Directors, Amy, Ben, and Kai, as well as all other members of the assassins unit of The Fam. The two new assassins were nervous, as well as a bit hungover from the night before, but they were eagerly awaiting their new licenses.
"And now, for the moment you've all been waiting for, Cindy and Kai, we present to you, your official assassins licenses!" Ben said as he handed the duo their licenses. The small audience gave a light round of applause. "Congratulations guys!"
"Oh my gosh, I finally made it!" Kai screamed.
"Thank you so much, Director Ben! We won't let you down," Cindy said. "So, when do we get our first contract?"
"Oh my, that won't be for a while, ahahaha!" Ben said.
"Yeah, maybe like a month or two, I think that should be enough time," Amy said.
"Really, sister? Only a couple of months? That would be surprisingly fast," Aria said.

"Hmph, we'll whip them into shape soon enough!" Amy said with an evil grin on her face.
"Huh? Wuh? What the fuck do you mean a couple of months, Director Amy? We already completed the no-contract missions, so what gives??" Kai said, angrily.
"Watch your tone with me, little boy," Amy said sternly. "You'll need much more training for the missions to come."
"Then, why give us the no-contract assignments in the first place? Wouldn't it make more sense to train us before that?" Cindy asked.
"Huh? That wouldn't make any sense at all, sweet Cindy. Why waste training on someone who hasn't even proven their resolve to kill yet?" Amy said.
"When you put it that way.... I guess I can't argue," Cindy said.
"Aw, don't look so bummed out, guys! The world that you're about to step into will be one you couldn't possibly imagine, I can promise you that," Ben said.
"But, in order to prepare you for that world, intense physical and mental training must be done to prepare you chaps," Aria said.
"It will be tough....ok, it'll be pretty fucking brutal, I can't lie. But, I'm sure you'll be just fine!" Amy said. "Your training will commence...now!!!"
"Huh?" Kai said.
"R-right here, right now? What kind of training?" Cindy said.
"Ok, not right now, right now, but very soon.... Goddammit, Theodore, that was your fucking cue!" Amy said.
"Oh, golly gee! I'm so sorry, Madam Amy!" a voice said. "I am Theodore! Listen up, maggots, your training with me starts now!" Theodore said as loudly barged into the office, swinging the door violently and breaking it in the process.
What the fuck... He's huge!
"Hey, Theodore! My door! You broke my door, dude!" Ben said.
"Oh...sorry, Director Ben," Theodore said.
"It's fine, it's fine! Let's just get this party started already!" Amy exclaimed.
"Yes ma'am! Cindy, Kai, I will be in charge of training you for the next month. Don't die on me, now!" Theodore said, winking at the confused duo.
"Uhhh...huh?" Kai said. "Who the fuck are you?"
"Theodore is our special trainer and long time friend of Father, so please show some respect, Kai," Aria said.
"L-long time friend?" Cindy said.
"Oh, yeah. Those two go way back. He's like an uncle to us, so you better listen well and treat him with respect! Ben said.
"Yes sir!" Cindy and Kai said.
Before the two new assassins, stood a very large, brutish man. His stature was towering, standing at almost twice the size of Cindy and Kai combined. He was a much older man, looking to be in his sixties at least. He had a bald head and pale skin, with a lone, handlebar mustache sitting firmly on his face. There were also small fangs protruding from the man's mouth, as well as slightly pointy ears.
"Mr. Theodore, it's a pleasure to meet you... Your attributes are rather...unique," Cindy said.
"Why yes! Thank you for noticing, young Cindy! You have a good eye on you! Yup, I'm a full-blown mutt. Got some elf, ogre, and human in me!" Theodore said.
"A-amazing! I've never seen that before!" Cindy said. "You're amazing, Mr. Theodore! Please teach us well! Cindy said, bowing her head.
"Ahahaha, I like these guys, how cute! Alright, maggots, get ready for hell! Get changed now, and meet me on the first floor!!!"
"Y-yes sir!!!" Kai and Cindy yelled.
"Don't go easy on em, Theo! I want those monkeys on the brink of death, every day!" Amy said with an evil grin.
"Of course, Miss Amy!" Theodore said, returning the same grin.
"Cindy, I'm scared...," whispered Kai. "A-are we gonna be alright?"
"Yeah!.... I think.... I hope," Cindy said as a frightened look slowly crept on her face.
We're fucked!
