Just as Hu Feng thought that, he heard a whirring noise to his right. Quickly turning his head to look, Hu Feng saw the morning sky morphing before a black hole suddenly emerged, swallowing the sky inwards.
Hu Feng saw his younger self being frightened, as the teenager took a few steps back.
“Oh my god! Run! Run away! Why the hell are you just standing there!” Hu Feng shouted agitatedly as he ran towards ‘himself’. “Don’t let it suck you in! You’ll die! And..and…”
But no matter how much Hu Feng shouted, how could the other person hear him? Everything was in his head after all; these were just memories.
Rushing towards Li Yang, Hu Feng was just about to grab the youth and run away, when his fat body went right through the illusionary body.
“Dammit!” Hu Feng cursed as he turned just in time to see his younger self being gravitated towards the dark hole, along with the nearby trees and mother soil. But before his body even entered, it was torn into pieces by a strange type of force and began to melt away.
Everything had happened in, but a mere moment.
Just as Li Yang’s entire body was about fully dissipated, Hu Feng watched wide-eyed as a red hand reached out and seemingly “grasped” at Li Yang’s body.
Looking more closely, Hu Feng saw that the ‘red hand’ was actually a hand covered in blood red armor, embroidered with golden linings.
Moments later, someone stepped from within the dark hole.
“Wh..what?!” Hu Feng exclaimed when he saw the red figure.
This person had on a full ruby armor, covering himself from neck down. His eyes were golden colored, similar to his overflowing hair, which looked as if it was glowing. The man looked to be only around his thirties, with a very handsome face, thick eyebrows, and firm cheekbones.
The blood red armor on him was decorated with strange carvings and gold colored lines outlined the armor itself. The man gave off a strange feeling, as if he wasn’t real.
Even in his own mind, Hu Feng could not help but be stunned by that person’s aura.
Although he realized that everything was only a illusion, Hu Feng could still feel the majestic and heroic pressure the mysterious man gave off…
Was this…really only just a dream?
Just as Li Yang’s entire body disappeared, the red armored man retracted his right hand. A glowing, white ball of light could be seen peaking out from the man’s firm clutch.
“Ahahaha! I finally made it! Thought I was a goner when my link to the Heaven Domain got severed, but to think I could still make it to this unexplored dimensional plane! Hahaha! This should ought to be more interesting here!” The mysterious man bellowed gleefully. “—Oh? He’s still conscious?”
Glancing at the soul in his hand, the red-armored man had a surprised look on his face. “What a strong willpower! Haha, I like it!
Little one, you must have unfortunately perished while I was trying to come through into this realm. While I do not know who you are, seeing that you were already here in this plane, I believe you must be a native of this world.
Your untimely death, can be said to be my fault! Therefore, I will grant you a safe reincarnation cycle, and give you a bit of my power as compensation; how does that sound, eh?” The armored-red man laughed as he looked at Li Yang’s soul. “Of course, if you have any families in this sphere who wishes to seek revenge for you, I will most definitely take responsibility! –That is, if they have the ability to make me do so! Hahaha!”
The white ball of light trembled visibly.
“Alright! Now that’s settled, I’ll be sending you off now.
–Oh, wait, since you are the first person I met, however briefly, when I came here I guess I will not be stingy, ahaha! Let me imprint a full set of my Profound Veins into your soul for your next body to use! It should contain a tiny bit of my own power as well.
That way, it’ll definitely be useful to you even if you were to be reincarnated as a pig or chicken!” The man chuckled as he sent a red light into Li Yang’s soul. Then, the red armored man paused for a moment before continuing on in a more serious tone.
“However, I detest cowards the most. Since I do not know your character, I will be placing a small ‘lock’ on my gift. And the way to ‘unlock’ and receive my gift will simply depend on when you would have affirmed your own convictions. Its method of trigger will be directly linked with your soul; fake emotions shall not work.
Only when you have dreams in your heart, will my Profound Veins truly become yours! As for what that means, hehe, you go figure it out yourself!”
The white ball of light trembled slightly before calming down, burning calmly in the wind.
“Now, off you go!” The ruby armored man lifted Li Yang’s soul as he gently casted it towards the dark hole.
Hu Feng stared wide-eyed in disbelief, with his mouth slightly gaped, at the scientifically impossible scene happening in front of him.
“So…So it was that bastard who killed me?!” Hu Feng said in disbelief. Anger flashed through his eyes as he glared at the figure in red.
“My god, I was just going for frickin’ stroll and this guy just had to come out of nowhere and blow me up? That mother..!”
But before Hu Feng could finish his rant, at that moment the white ball of light entered the black hole, his entire surrounding disappeared. Whiteness returned to replace the entirety of Hu Feng’s world.
Then, in the next moment, it suddenly shattered as Hu Feng’s vision was replaced with a new scene.
*Bam!*
Hu Feng looked on as he saw “himself” being kicked across the ground by someone’s foot. He was in his family yard in the Hu Clan now.

In front of him, six youths in blue clothes were standing around “Hu Feng’s” fallen body, mercilessly bashing on him as they cursed out loud. The ‘Hu Feng’ he saw in front of him was a round sized boy who laid there on the ground, clutching his own head as light streams of tears rolled down his dirtied face.
“What’s wrong, young master? Didn’t you tell us not to ‘bully’ the servants? Why don’t you try standing up for them now? Ah?!” A male in a blue robe sneered.
“Heh, with just your Wudan 1st stage talent, you want to challenge us. And you dare have the face to call yourself our clan’s young master? Even the servants are more helpful than you!”
“Trash! Heh, just wait until my father takes over the clan head position. Now that we all know your crap talent, your father should not hope to be able to protect his position anymore! Hahah!” A youth with cold eyes, and ordinary appearance said venomously as he kicked the younger Hu Feng.
Hu Feng watched from the sideline before casting his eyes down to the side. Seeing this scene had brought back some unpleasant memories after he had first came into this world.
At first, everything was fine.
His parents were loving and the clansmen all revered him, as he was the only young master of the Hu Clan. And coupled with the hope that he had a “special cheat” to aid him in the future, Hu Feng quickly adapted and could even be said to be quite satisfied with his life. He did not think too much about his past life on Earth, as he felt his life now was quite good. There wasn’t even a shred of desire to return home, surprisingly.
But when he was eight years old, things began to change.
One morning, Hu Feng was brought in front of the entire clan to be tested for his innate quality. This was a traditional that all children in the Hu Clan would go through, in order to determine their talent and how much the clan should invest in their future.
Hu Feng, at that time, was confident. He believed he was destined for great things in this world, even though he had died an abrupt death in his own world. He wanted to thoroughly live out his life in this new world, and achieve the things he could never in the past.
But alas, the spirit stone that was brought to test Hu Feng’s innate quality did not respond at all after Hu Feng had placed his hand on top of it.
It should be said that, it could not detect Hu Feng’s innate quality. With Hu Feng’s soul that was not from this plane, and that was even heavily sealed, it was entirely impossible for a mere low quality spirit stone to detect Hu Feng’s soul, much less even grade it!
However, the Hu clansmen did not know of this. In fact, they could not have known,or even imagine, something as bizarre as this happening.
So instead, they deemed Hu Feng’s talent to be so low, that it could not even trigger the spirit stone’s response.
While this was fundamentally impossible, as even the weakest soul would at least give a reaction of 1 innate quality, but at the time where the Hu Clan was quite unstable internally, several people threw out such remarks to lower Hu Feng and his father’s reputation.
And it succeeded.
Hu Feng was deemed a trash by his clansmen and from that day on, life became akin to hell for him at home. People stopped caring for him, and instead bullying surfaced among the other younger generation members.
Hu Feng gritted his teeth as he looked at the ground. Suddenly, the ground blurred before a wooden floor replaced it.
“It changed again?” Hu Feng furrowed his eyebrows as he looked up.
This time, he saw his parents standing in the open doorway with their back facing the younger Hu Feng. They were in Hu Feng’s room.
The middle aged man in dark blue clothes slightly turned his head right as he spoke in a solemn voice: “Remember, do not often show your face in public. You must keep our clan’s dignity in your mind! Otherwise, don’t say I did not warn you beforehand!”
Flinging his sleeves behind, the middle-aged man turned and left the room in a stern manner. The middle aged women turned to glance at her son, before sighing and turning to follow after Hu Feng’s father.
As she left, Hu Feng could hear her softly whispering:
“To think I gave birth to such a useless thing..,*sigh* I wish you were never born…”
Immediately, Hu Feng felt his heart being caught up in his throat as an aching sensation spread through his chest. Even though they were not his real parents, they had still indeed taken care of him for eight years. The feelings he had developed for them in those periods ran deep in his mind. He was unable to take their words lightly in his heart…
Moreover, they were originally not like this in the beginning.
It was only after Hu Feng’s poor talent was discovered, that the other Hu Clansmen began to put huge pressure on his parents. They were practically humiliated wherever they went.
And when they finally broke under the pressure, they had instead directed their anger at Hu Feng.
Hu Feng wanted to believe that those were unintentional actions but in the end, the damages were done nonetheless.
In a clan that only cared about power and power and more power — such an insane place, if one did not break down upon failing to meet that high expectation, then that would have been unnatural instead!
In fact, in this kind of world, bizarreness and illogical actions, as Hu Feng slowly came to realize, seemed to reign as the kings.
