On a dark night, a golden beam suddenly shot down in the middle of an empty street. The light lasted only a brief moment before quickly disappearing, revealing a translucent male in snow white robe.
“Hmph! Those bastards dare to plot against me and ask the Jade Emperor to exile me from the Heaven Domain. Watch how I’ll deal with you all once I return!”
The ex-deity angrily thought to himself as his serene face slightly darkened.
“Whatever, this issue will be deal with once I regain my celestial body. Since I’m in spirit form now, I should go look for a mortal’s body…”
As the former great god was not a being who tend to dwell on future issues, he will naturally give priority to his present problems.
“Fortunately, I took precaution and merged my Eternal Gourd with my soul before I went to the Heavenly Palace…otherwise, I would have truly been kicked from the Heaven Domain like a penniless dog…ugh, whatever, whatever, I must quickly seek out a mortal body to stay in…hopefully, I’ll find a youthful one…”
Having jumped into the Yellow Spring River without drinking Meng Po’s soup, the white robed deity naturally was able to retain all of his ancient memories. Moreover, he was also able to forcefully keep his soul’s consciousness as he passed through the reincarnation cycle, albeit he still lost his celestial body.
But with his soul’s consciousness intact, the former proud deity can now choose his own mortal host of his liking, rather than becoming those usual mindless souls that latch onto the first living thing it sense upon entering the Mortal Domain.
Although keeping a soul’s consciousness when going through the reincarnation cycle is typically impossible, exceptions occur when one’s willpower and divine strength reaches a certain extent. With the pearly attired god’s original heaven-opposing might, naturally he was able to create that “exception.” Moreover, the white robed deity had also brought over his Eternal Gourd, which he had merged together with his soul; a spatial artifact which stored countless amount of treasures that he had accumulated over the millenniums. It contained an enormous magnitude of items, from pills to techniques to all kind of strange oddities.
But there was a limited quantity even to these large sums of rare items. Thus, even though Jin Xia had brought this artifact over from the Heaven Domain, he was not inclined to lavishly use it as he pleased.
With the spirit of a fanatic treasure collector, the white attired deity would often visit other gods in hope of acquiring various treasures. In many cases, the other party would refuse, of course, but in such cases it would end with the former deity challenging them to a fight before utterly obliterating them, having equipped with his long history of war experiences, and then plundering their treasures clean. If they refused his challenge, he would still beat them up until they gave in. He never took a refusal as the final answer.
This was also the main reason why many gods feared and despised the snow robed god, wanting to banish him from the Heaven Realm. His method of handling things and his ambitious attitude were simply tyrannical to the point where many gods would devise powerful formations just to safeguard their treasures from him….

After thinking for a while, the ex-god quickly began to survey his surroundings as he searched for a suitable host.
Suddenly, the snowy clad deity sensed a few commotions a few houses down. Beckoned by his innate curious nature, the former god quickly arrived in a small courtyard decorated with a tiny pond and beautiful flowers to complement. The house was a few times bigger than the surrounding buildings, evidently signaling a difference in status and power.
“Hmm, the sound came from that room…” The deity murmured to himself as he looked at the door in front of him. Without another word, his spiritual form easily passed through the wooden door as a young man and woman came into view.
The young man, wearing a purple garment, looked to be about sixteen or seventeen, with handsome facial features: short dark hair, black eyes, thick brows, and a symmetric face. Meanwhile, the young lady looked to be about fourteen or fifteen, with a porcelain face and delicate mien, wearing simple, slightly dirty pink dress. It seems the girl is either a maid or servant.
Currently, the young man’s face was contorted in an ugly scowl as he continuously shouted, and occasionally slapped, at the frightened girl who was shielding her head with her arms and was cowering in a corner.
“Curse them! How am I not comparable to that trash! Just because his talent may have been a bit better than mine, he even dared to cripple me! And to think no one even said a damn thing about it! My father was unable to touch him, and that useless patriarch would even side with him! What’s so good about that bastard!? Why does he get to have the clan’s protection?! Why do I have to be the cripple?! Huh?! Tell me why, huh?!”
As the young man shouted and thrashed the poor girl, the latter remained silent albeit a soft whimper would escape her quivering lips once in awhile.
Seeing this scene, the deity did not move nor waver. After experiencing many things over the past aeons, human behaviours such as this was long etched inside his infinite mind. It was not something new or shocking to him anymore. Although he did not care,it did not mean that he would have continue to look at such a disgusting scene.
“Hmm, this youth’s body seems to have been crippled by some external factor, but his overall physique is still pretty good. Though his temperament seems rather poor, and as for his moral…heh, seeing how he is not holding back as he hits that girl, I’m sure it’s safe to bet that forcefully taking your mortal body will bring about no bad karma for me…after all, I’m getting rid of trash!”
As the once glorious deity finished his assessment, his spiritual body transformed into a beam of white light as it shot towards young man and directly entered from his back.
“Damn it! Speak! Are you mute?! Spea–ugh?!”
The young man raised his hands, but before he could swing down at the girl he suddenly paused as he felt something otherworldly entered his body. Very quickly, he felt his conscious fleeing from him as the world swirled into darkness.
Inside the young man’s body, the deity had begun to devour the original owner’s spirit, replacing the body’s owner with deity’s own soul. Before the young man could even comprehend, much less struggle, his soul was wiped clean from his body, fusing and becoming a part of the deity’s soul…
