Chapter 27: Sun and Moon
Humanity had been peaceful for a long time, until one day, darkness blanketed the entire world and a group of powerful vampires, called the Nightmen, enslaved them all.
Humans could not fight at their full strength at night and due to the lack of sunlight, their bodies weakened over time. Their civilization dwindled due to the withering of all crops requiring sunlight along with the death of many livestock and animals which relied on them. The loss of the sunrays devastated the ecosystem as a whole.
Alas, hope was not lost as the Nightmen were able to cultivate plants which relied on the moonlight. Soon, new creatures harnessing the power of Moon emerged and the civilization was restored once more. Yet, the chains of enslavement lodged even deeper due to Humanity's gratitude towards the Nightmen and many other reasons.
They were the races of immortal vampires who feast upon the blood and bodily fluids of Humans. All of them were of youthful appearance and breathtakingly beautiful. The Nightmen at some point of time, forcibly drafted the Humans to be their servants, which they turned into one of them—usually beautiful men and women but soon enough almost everyone the Nightmen took fancy of were brought in, as those vampire folk had so much desire with human flesh.
The Nightmen and the Humans indulged in perverted sexual acts, whether if it's men and women, or the pairing of both girls and both guys and even grouping either of the same sex or mixed ones of various preferences.
Soon, the Nightmen and Humans formed an almost-unbreakable chain of master and servant or even star-crossed lovers. They couldn't seem to live without each other anymore.
Another hundred years had passed since the fever of their romance started.
The Humans kept on distorting their original appearance, especially when they were born from a Nightmen's womb. Even when the parents were both males or females, a child could still be conceived. Some of the Nightmen's traits went over to humans and so forth.
It became impossible to distinguish between another; even from lifespan, since even the Humans were able to retain their youth from the hundred years back.
Some of the Nightmen believed they were Humans and vice versa.
Everyone seemed content with the world bathed in eternal night, as both vampire and human assimilated with each other so perfectly.
Yet, at this moment, the Sun God happened to wake up from his slumber. Rage filled his heart, as he rose from the tomb, located in a hill closest to the sky, even unchartered from both Nightmen and Humans.
"Why was every single thing in this world look weird now? Where were the traces of the sun? I felt the power of worship waning significantly—if this went on, I will die!"
He was even angrier as he stared at the brightly shining moon. As a god, he naturally knew it was the Nightmen's doing, which made people less reliant on the Sun by cultivating the Moon.
At where supposed to be morning and afternoon, the moonlight would strengthen its glow and during evening and night, it would recuperate and weaken its shine, yet it was still lot brighter compared to times before eternal night came; even those without dark vision and sufficient light could see clearly.
"Maybe my time just had come, but I don't want to die. I have endured countless tribulations to become a god. I couldn't let it end like this. It's only fair, as the Nightmen had stolen the Day from me, I would steal the Night from them.
I will create, from the remainder of pure humans—the luminous beings which embody the belief of the Sun—the Daymen!"
Sensing the faint force of worship in a nearby temple, the Sun God flew at full-speed—only to encounter a group of Nightmen praying. When they noticed him, the people all had eyes filled with veneration. In unison, they kowtowed to the god.
"Revered Sun God!"
"Praise be thy existence! The day thy return after few hundred years!"
Meanwhile, the god himself made a strange expression.
"Why are you Nightmen praying to me and not the Moon Goddess? Because of your prayers, I was roused from my secluded meditation—so you better have a good reason."
"We already spent the past three hundred years praying to the Moon Goddess and thou, the Venerated Sun God. Now she's currently watching over us in the Moon." one of the Nightmen dressed in ornate clothing, like the High Priest, spoke in a respectful tone while still kowtowing. He held a staff with a Sun-shaped head, with height about the same as adult human male.
"Huh." the Sun God felt as if he just heard something stupid and thought, 'How did I get called the Sun God in the first place? If I went back to the Sun, wouldn't I burn to death instead?'
He figures it'd be troublesome to say anything and simply nod.
"Venerated Sun God, we beseech thou to bring the Sun back. We longed for the light of beginning, but it's especially because the Moon Goddess missed thou!"
'It's because of the Moon Goddess, huh.'
"I'm not her underling. On what basis should I bring back the Sun because she told me to?"
"The Moon Goddess loves thou, Venerated Sun God. If there's no Sun for a much longer time, she said thou would die. That's why with her accumulated powers from our prayers, she used it to wake thou up."
"Who is she to me?"
"We do not dare to intrude in the private lives of the gods."
"Hmm..."
The Sun God pondered for a while; he was deep in thought and his mind was filled with confusion.
'In truth, the Sun was not my home. I was but a mere youngling of a god who longed for it. I was born in this world and merely saw the Sun as my goal, that's there to it.
Even if I don't know, doesn't mean I should give up. I simply need to find a method that works.'
After a long pause and having had enough of the curious stares of the Nightmen, the Sun God inquired:
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Where are the Humans? They were my children; their presence was pivotal to the Sun's rebirth."
"Venerated Sun God, we have no clue about the others but, we were the ones offering worship for three hundred years. Would the sacrifice of our lives suffice?"
"We would gladly offer ourselves for the Sun."
'It was kind of ironic, that five hundred years ago, just before I entered seclusion, these Nightmen thought of themselves as gods. They definitely would not think of their selves as Humans—the creature they look down upon the most!'
"I don't need your sacrifice. Just tell me, how does the Moon become so powerful?"
...
As the Nightmen naturally had better affinities to the Moon Goddess and their mana were much more powerful, it only took one hundred years for her to wake up.
The Moon Goddess, after rousing from her deep slumber, could cultivate the power of the Moon and making it stronger.
Although, when the Sun God tried doing the same and channeling the power to call forth the Sun---
The power overloaded him and he died.
The Sun came by itself when the Moon Goddess wept and retired herself from watching over the world at all times. Now it was only half a day as she now decided to spend more time with her daughters.
After all, the Sun had always been present within the Universe and even after the Night obscured him, this world always had circularly traversed it. After all, the Sun did not rotate against this place, just like the moon-- it's actually the opposite.
As the Sun God did not manage to understand the Sun's true nature during hundreds of years of slumber, he had lost all the qualification as the God of Sun and his very existence was erased.
If he was so ignorant about the Universe, why did he became the Sun God in the first place? The truth was: nobody in this world knew about the Heliocentric theory at that time, including him—who possessed the most knowledge and wisdom concerning it.
The birth of the Daymen remained as a wishful thinking, the Sun did not need this world and these people to thrive, but this world needed him.
Later on, a man named Copernicus gained qualifications to become a Sun God, but due to his pure heart, he shared this godly knowledge (Heliocentric Theory) to the world that's not ready for it. As a result, he was executed—but his efforts were not in vain. The Daymen finally came—as an organization which fought against the religious tyranny which seized the people of knowledge.
The religious faction weakened from their defeat since they reasoned with Faith and Superstition instead of Logic and Facts. Thus, this world entered the Renaissance Era.
...
Nobody ever heard of the Sun God again, yet...at this moment, he was reborn...as the Moon Goddess' daughter.
"No, you lolicon! I don't swing that way! I like girls but you're my Mom, noooo!"
"My sisters are all lesbians! As much I like girls but you're my sisters..."
What the hell just happened?
The Moon Goddess took over the residue of Sun God's life force in the nick of time and got pregnant with it, not wanting to separate from the one she loves. Around 31 days passed and the new Daughter of Moon was born.
As the Moon Goddess was attracted to the Sun God in the first place, her longing for him gave birth to the daughters who bore the same feeling.
After 365 days of observing and pondering about the Sun from the Lunarscape, together with the Moon Goddess, the Sun God—now Moon Daughter Eclipse, told her mother 'bout it.
"At first I thought all the Celestial Bodies out there orbited our world, now, after observing the Sun's orbit, it made me felt how we're just an insignificant frog within the well. Just like how the Nightmen used to view themselves."
Moon Goddess gently caressed Eclipse's silver hair and rested her daughter's body, which looks like a teenager at the moment, against her own bountiful chest. Eclipse got rather excited when she felt a soft pillowy sensation pressing her back. The frilly textures of her mother's thin white dress and the satin lingerie beneath made the feeling even comfier.
As for Eclipse, she only wore a sleeveless dress with the same frilly texture, just like the other Moon Daughters. Since she didn't wear any underwear, the light nearby made her petite flesh see-through and the sight made the Moon Goddess blush.
"Even if we're insignificant in the eyes of the Sun, you're the most precious one to me."
"Why do you love me?"
"You're my sunshine. You kept on reaching towards the light when I could only be in the dark."
"That's not true. Whether it's day or light, the Moon was always there. It's just the light of the Sun that was too strong."
"I see...you're certainly are knowledgeable, Eclipse. How come haven't I realized this?"
"Because you spent too much time thinking about doing perverted things with your daughters."
"...and you're still a virgin even in your past life since you spent no time on love."
"Uuuu..."
"So, Eclipse. Even if you're a girl now and you're my daughter, do you still love me?"
"...but I'm gay, even if I'm now a girl I could only love girls--is it fine?"
"Everyone is gay, what's the matter?"
"It matters to me. You know, I've never been in much company with other women and I...uh...got easily stimulated."
"Blame yourself for being so cute."
With the world from afar, appearing as a gigantic circular globe, Eclipse felt the Moon Goddess' extremely hot lips pressing against her.
....and the next moment, she was about to experience the most intense pleasure she ever had.
"....praise the Sun..." that's her words as she climaxed over and over when she, her alluring mother and cute sisters were drunk on lust.
The Sun, witnessing the madness for an entire year, felt really jealous, he could only shout.
"Ha, gay.
I wish it was me instead."
...at that moment, this world experienced a Solar Eclipse, because the Sun was cucked.
