Chapter 3: Ordinary Day
I woke up at seven o' clock in the morning. The bed was warm and nice. Yet, all I saw was a pair of eyes staring from the depths of my mind.
It wasn't long before my mom knocked on my door; seeing me shiver in bed.
"That's why I told you not to set the AC too low."
The clicking sound and the cold air shutting followed suit.
She did not even realize I set them at 26 degrees Celcius before.
I rubbed my forehead; it was cold. Mom, why you felt cold at 26 degrees? Unless the room temperature outside was low--
No. The sun was shining bright and the morning air was mild and temperate like the always.
She already opened the curtains and the windows; let the light of the beginning inside—wait did my chuuni act up again?
Mom's face was hidden behind her long bangs and when she uncovered her face once more, not even a human skeleton was present; only a single, big red eye bulging with veins, staring at me; canopied by the same patch of human hair. The old, gentle voice shifted into those of a hoarse, stereotypical zombie-like droning speech.
"Son....breakfast. Don't forget...shower, first."
"Yes, mom."
Well, it didn't feel as scary when I saw it in real life. Things were a lot scarier in my imagination, even more so when I had dreams of it. Nonetheless, when I got used to it, those frightening bits began to feel entertaining. I remember it was fun blowing the brains out of crazy clowns coming up to my room one by one with a shotgun.
After all, I realize, it was either Fiction or just a figment of my imagination. Nothing of it would hurt my soul if I didn't allow it to.
What about real life? Since it could hurt me—well 'Mom' did not do that or had any such indication, so I shouldn't be afraid. I still remember where I hid my machete nearby though.
I might be hallucinating a bit since or I actually had an ability to see the world differently than most people. It wasn't the stereotypical bit as the 'hidden power in my right hand'--else you mean your desire to fap--we all had these moments.
I was thought as an oddball but let them judge however they want. I had my own life and I wasn't afraid to show them my real self.
When I opened the doors to my bath—I did not remember—did I actually crammed Biology too much? Did we have a test today? Or was it a quiz? My teacher uses to have that sudden Pop Quiz to make us lazy munchkins study.
I saw the walls seem to be alive and beating, somehow. The design was similar to the patterns of an animal tissue under the microscope. The bathroom floor; the sinks and the toilet seem to be covered in rust—no, it looked like blackened bloodstains.
...but for some reason, it smelled more like wine. I felt a bit drunk just inhaling such scent. At least the room wasn't filled by gruesome smells like this appearance. Even if I was a minor, I often enjoy the thought of feeling wasted from alcohol.
This might be a mess to clean up. I didn't remember ever doing anything which would cause so much filth to pile. For the record, I cleaned it regularly and even if I masturbate, I always made sure to land it on the toilet hole. If I were to squirt out my dinghy to the extent of causing so many bloodstains, wouldn't I be dead already?
Rather, I was more scared of thinking on the possible causes of someone dying, to create such stains.
The sight of this bathroom was quite disgusting I didn't feel like taking a shower. At the very least I'd wash my face and try to sneak it up at school. If I recall, we'd get the PE on the first period. Talk about being lucky.
I got to wash my face in the least. As I turned the water knob—there were sticky, viscous liquid pouring and there were floating eyeball-like spots which seem to be alive and it stared at me; blinking occasionally inside the liquid.
I couldn't help but frown.
Wasn't this basically soy milk? Such a wasteful to order a soy milk bath in the morning. It's basically a cheaper version of milk or chocolate bath but still—why would you need to smell like soybean? What's with those eyeballs anyway?
I admit soybean could be pretty good to some people, but I was generally against having a certain scent on purpose.
I was quite against perfumes in general too; they just smelled off. It's good enough to just go along with soap—speaking of which, I didn't even see a single one in here. Did someone dropped the soap and...Nah, better not think 'bout it.
That aside, I always found those stuff that seems to be staring at me very annoying. I didn't have issues when it came to other people, animals and the like but when I couldn't seem to understand its origins or how it made sense, it infuriates me.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I grabbed one of the liquified eyeballs and tried to crush it under my palms. Maybe it would dilute itself so it wouldn't seem like an eyeball but—the moment it touched my palm, it solidified into a circular shape and suddenly came alive in a ball-like shape. I instinctively crushed the object as I felt a kind of living sensation coming from it.
It exploded into a mess of blood, spraying all over me. Dying my face, shirt, and pants. I closed my eyes on reflex; it'd be really disgusting for it to land on my own eyeballs.
The mess of eyeballs landing on another eyeball—wasn't this like a coup de grace?
It's not my fault the eyeball turn out this way—after all, how would I know-
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
Shrill banshee-like screams of a woman came resounding in my room, followed by the sound of something dropping down the floor. Instead of rushing toward it right away, I waited behind the closed bathroom and steadied my breath. Only after it died down for a good moment, I opened the door right away.
...there I saw the headless corpse of my mom, there's only a mess of blood on where the big-eyeball face was.
W...what had I done? I didn't know it would turn out like this!
Mom! I....totally didn't mean it. This..was just an accident. Though, to be said, all of what happened didn't make any sense at all. None of the things in here couldn't possibly happen in reality.
I must be inside a dream.
I tried my best to wake up by slapping my face and balls lightly; there wasn't any different. My balls hurt, but fortunately, I didn't use full power.
I tried to count sheep in reverse. So it's basically them moonwalking and jumping back on the fence--
Forget 'bout it, it was too absurd to imagine.
I tried to imagine my little sister's face when she just woke up. I couldn't stop laughing, but it still wasn't enough.
Alright, I'd just continue my experiment then. This dream would be over in due time.
I went back to popping eyeballs in the bath while observing closely what happened in my room. I thought there was going to be a huge, diabolical hole opening from the ceiling, in which the corpses would drop one by one—but no. The bodies simply appeared in mid-air, followed by a crisp-sounding thud as the bodies hit the floor.
Each time I crushed the eyeballs, it indeed caused corpses to form but unlike the first time, I didn't hear any scream. I closed the bathroom door to see if there are any changes. Yep, the screaming was there again. It's exponentially more annoying.
I tried another experiment. When the door was open midway, there was no scream. When it nearly closed, I could hear it faintly. Though, when I crushed it and before the screaming stops, I opened the door—the scream faded so damn fast, like opening the door turned down the volume by many notches until it went all mute.
At this point, I already popped the eyeballs about nine times. Seeing what's in my room, maybe I could also claim the life insurance nine times. My current appearance, bathed in these mess of splattering blood made me similar to a butcher.
There weren't many eyeballs left to pop in the washbasin. Even if I tried turning the water valve, nothing came out. When I poked the pipe to see if there's anything blocking, no signs were apparent.
I gotta make this count.
I already screwed up about nine times since I couldn't seem to hold my strength whenever there's a wriggling eyeball on my palm. I took a deep breath and imagine I was holding my Dad's vibrator that ran on full power.
With the door open, I tried my best not to squish that disgusting thing in my hand. There was nothing present, but I could see, faintly in the room's corner--the sight of a ghost woman with a naked body, but the physique no different than a corpse. Even if I was into necrophilia, I couldn't fap to this.
The wriggle of this object in my palm went all intense, my reflex made me crush it again. At an instant, the ghost-woman went corporeal and instantaneously jumped towards me!
Her face was so horrifying up close.
The sheer fright roused me up when we're about to kiss.
It felt rather thrilling.
If she was cute like Sadako though, I probably won't ever get up.
...
