three.

Darkness hugged around her like a blanket except it wasn't warm nor a blanket.

Her wings shivered as the cold embraced her, making it harder to glide across the empty void, she then decided to let her wings rest and began to walk with no sense of direction. She held the envelope tight in fear that she may lose it. She turned back around hoping she would still see her home just a couple of feet behind her, but all she could see was black. She thought maybe she messed up or maybe the Headmaster sent her in this void for different reasons, but the thoughts vanish as she saw a small light opening up in front of her.

It was nothing, but a small glare and with each step she took toward it, it began to grow until suddenly she was walking down an empty alley. Ever never noticed the change till she looked back and discovered the black void was no longer following her. A sigh of relief escaped her and stopped in her tracks taking in the human world around her.

She noticed a small weight disappeared from her back and realized it was the lack of angel wings that were once there just a few minutes ago. It was an odd feeling, but one she got used to quickly as she didn't mind the less weight. She also realized that her gown was gone and in place was some human clothes to make her fit in more smoothly which consisted of a white t-shirt and jeans. Ever stood in the vacant alleyway trying to remember the courses she took at the Angel's Academy. Her studies taught her lessons about the human world and how it operates — humans had a certain way of living with money, having cars, and going to school similar to theirs.

Ever was also informed on how to deal with demons and a way to spot them out would was simply them eluding a dark aura. The humans simply wouldn't have an aura to them and angels had a light one. She wondered just how many angels and demons were among her, but she would just have to wait to interact with them to find out. Ever walked outside of the alleyway following the human crowd until she came near a lonely bench by a river. She sat down and brought the envelope into her view, breaking the golden seal. Inside contained a letter, keys, and a card, her eyebrows furrowing in curiosity while opening up the letter.

Human: Marissa Thompson

Age: 19

Her boyfriend is leading her down a dangerous path. Help her realize the path she is taking and guide her back into the light.

Ever folded the letter and placed it back into the envelope. She sat there for a moment taking everything in.

Just a few minutes ago she was with her best friend getting ready for the ceremony, she kissed a boy she had a crush on for years, and now here she was sitting on a foreign bench in a foreign city with humans surrounding her. For a moment she wished she was back in Heaven with her parents and her friends living her once normal life up there, but she knew that this is what she wanted. She had always wanted to go to that Academy to learn how to guide humans back to the light, so that is what she was going to do, starting with her first human — Marissa.

Ever got up and looked both directions not knowing where the heck Arizona State University would even be at. She picked a direction — right — and within a couple feet there was sign with Arizona State University right on it. Ever smiled knowing that this was the work of God as her gut will always lead her into the direction she needed to go. Ever walked around the campus in search for the dorm rooms when a girl with short, black hair wearing a ASU shirt came up to her with a smile so big it almost looked painful.

"Are you looking for something? If so, I can help as I am a campus guide for all the new fish!" It seemed to be impossible for her smile to grow even more, but it did.

Ever gave her a smile in return, thankful for her presence. "Yes, actually. Do you mind pointing me to where the girl's dorms may be."

The girl linked arms with Ever, "I'll just show ya actually!"

She pulled Ever with her as she began a whole tour of the campus. "And over there is he Technology building, where you know they do technology things." She pointed and talked about almost every building in the campus it felt like it took forever, but the girl finally pointed at one last building, "And here is where you will be staying! Any questions?"

"Just one, what's your name?"

The girl's face turned into a deep red, "Oh silly me, what is a campus guide without telling you their name first." She scratched her head out of embarrassment.

Ever gave her a comforting smile, "No worries, I just want to thank you properly is all."

The girl's face relaxed a little bit, "Well, my name is Amy."

Ever extended out her hand, "Nice to meet you, Amy, I'm Ever. It was a pleasure and I thank you for your guidance."

Amy took her hand and gave her a firm shake, "Well, that's an interesting name and no problem! It is my responsibility to give these guides and I hope you got all the information you needed." She kept shaking Ever's hand till she was done talking.

Ever let out a small giggle, "You have been a great help. Hope to see you around, Amy." Amy gave her another painful looking smile, "You bet!" And off the girl went on the prowl looking for another fresh fish to take on her tour.

Ever gave Amy a small blessing of happiness and love and took a deep breathe before entering the dorms.
