The Cloaked Fallen prologue

Sechs sat in front of his T.V. spending the last moments of his life watching a documentary. His life started out rather simple, his mother and father both worked simple jobs and he was left at a day care of pre-kinder school.

When he was around 5 years old his parents took him on a trip around the world for reasons he can't remember. The trip was great and he saw plenty of interesting things but at some point during the trip the small happy family met misfortune.

They stumbled onto a fight between some extraordinary humans who could do things regular people could not. Sechs could not remember what happened exactly but his parents were killed and he was taken by someone to some god forsaken facility.

The goal of this facility was simple, to grasp the exact reason that those extraordinary humans came to be through science. These humans were collectively and simply known as martial artist.

Through the training of their body some could even withstand bullets without protective gear. When he was taken Sechs was constantly drugged with what was thought to be wonder drugs that would recreate the effects of a martial artist training his or her body.

Things continued this way for roughly five years, with no positive effects the scientist running the facility decided to use him for something different. By that time Sechs had already lost most of his sanity and forgotten the name his parents had given him and responded to being called number 6 in any language.

At the age he believed he was around 10, Sechs was given a book which was believed be be from the ancient Mayans. This was not a form of martial arts but the ones who gave it to him believed that it was close enough to some other martial arts methods to have a chance of success and gave it to him.

Their goal was to study him, see if it worked, and eventually reproduce the effects through the usage of drugs. The method written in the book was quite simple kill an opponent, rip out it’s heart, and eat the heart.

Those three steps were what the five page book explained in detail, there was also stuff about feeling it’s essence and taking it in but at the time he didn’t understand any of that. For the 5 years following that he fought with animals and ate their hearts without much thought or care.

As the animals he faced became progressively stronger he did as well not because of the ancient text but out of necessity. The first time he actually felt the essence was when he killed a wolf and ate its heart, after that he became progressively stronger and eventually killed a bear unarmed around the time he turned 15.

At that point someone decided that it would be best to put him up against humans and that began his years of fighting and killing others in the facility. When he turned 19, Sechs was the only one left from all the children that were brought in with him.

Some of those he faced were capable of extraordinary things such as lighting their body on fire without burning themselves or turning their skin into a rock like substance. The most difficult challenge he faced and the last was a young woman who’s touch could induce frostbite.

He couldn’t do anything to that extent all he could do was slow his perception of time allowing him to be prepared for anything that came his way. Having killed all his opponents for the last 10 or so years Sechs killed all the scientist who put him trough everything and took all the other martial arts related books.

But he did not escape unscathed, during his massacre he was shot multiple time and inhaled deadly poison. Bu because of his stronger body he was able to survive another ten years. Giving himself the name Sechs, German for 6, he left to rejoin the outside world and gain back some of what he lost. But that was difficult as he could barely be considered sane.

For those next ten years he lived a fairly decent life a construction worker. Today he knew he didn’t have much time left as he would soon die from the poison that had never left his system, so he chose to spend his final moments watching a documentary.

The program was about a black wolf who went against the norm and did as he pleased until he was ready to settle down and start his own pack, the wolf had some setbacks in his early life but persevered and was able to make something great out of himself with his intelligence.

Around the time the wolf died in the end he too could feel his life fading and laughed to himself, nothing he did could expel the poison. In an attempt to live what he considered a complete life he had read all the martial arts manuals to the point where they were ingrained in his soul but nothing in them would help him expel the poison.

In reality he was just following his instinct to survive and didn’t really mind dying so he closed his eyes and headed to whatever fate awaited him be it hell or any of the other places religions spoke about even complete nothingness was fine in his point of view. Three days passed before someone found his corpse with most of his organs melted.
