London, United Kingdom At the Accordia Estate On January 17th, 2015, 11:54 P.M. Outside of the staff lounge room with all staff members inside the room.
I need to start sleeping properly, because that was one hell of a dream. Sleeping while standing is a new thing for me. Where’s madame Veronica? I don’t have the spare time to be standing here doing nothing. I need to study more forbidden magic. But I can’t do that while being posted right here.
Veronica, came up behind me and cleared her throat. I turned and gave my attention to her. Veronica is sporting a black sundress and black flip-flops, and for her jewelry, she is wearing a diamond rose gold necklace, a couple of black diamond rings, and earrings and large black framed sunglasses and carrying a petite diamond colored purse. Veronica: Sé que estás ocupado. Iré directamente al grano, hijo. Sora: So, what’s this about? Veronica: Do you hate one of the peons? Sora: Are you talking to about the staff? Veronica: Yes, I’m talking about them. Sora: The staff is great, madame. Everything is up to standard. Veronica: I guess I can give them that.
She’s speaking plain English to me for this long and nobody is around. Something got to be up, what does she want me to do or did I do something wrong? I called up the servants like she’d asked.
Veronica: Are all the little piggies in there? Sora: Pretty sure. Is there a particular reason why you called for them? Veronica: I guess it’s time. Veronica took off her sunglasses and looked around for anyone for a couple of seconds. Sora: Is everything okay? Veronica: I need you to kill everyone in that room. And kill any witnesses that cross your path. Unless it’s me, my Marido or Sofía.
Sora: Wait, kill? Forgive madame, but I have some concern you misspoke something. Veronica: No, kill every single person in that room, we can not risk la familia secrets ever getting out. When I mean kill, I mean I want them dead. Deceased, six feet under. That kind of dead. But I don’t need the crown getting involved with these trifling matters. So leave no evidence behind. And I already got the perfect cover-up story. The Accordia’s servants gave up their lives to protect the estate while everyone else is asleep. It’s a working title. But the tabloids will eat that up. The queens will be compelled to visit the estate and give a speech. And if everything goes right, Hollywood or Atlanta studios will make a movie about this. And hija and you will be in it. Then you two will build a platform and become stars to the world. Now get in there and get to killing sport!
Sora: Don’t forget about Ben. Veronica: Oh, yes, Benjamin. That old fossil seen many lifetimes. Saw many generations of Accordia’s. He has achieved a lot of things. He’s been a reliable help for this house. He played many roles for la familia. He’s been a knight, a hero, a guardian and a good friend. Now put him to rest with the others consider this his final task and also give him this before you start killing. And if possible, only make a little bit of a mess, thank you. Veronica handed me a rose gold envelope. Sora: Señora, they can be trusted. Han demostrado lealtad a la familia, and you can’t easily replace that! It can’t be bought or sold. Veronica: Verdad or lie?
Sora: The truth. Veronica: They could stay loyal and hold onto secrets, they could help further our dream. But if you wanted them to live, you wouldn’t have given us false behavior reports, so they can keep their jobs. But you’re only eleven years old, it was bound to happen. And plus I have tener la rata among them. They know too much! So you have another spring-cleaning to do. She started to walked away. Sora: I won’t do it! They’re good people. Especially señor Ben! She started turning back and making her way to me.
Veronica: No? You won’t do it?! Sora: No, it’s wrong. You can’t just kill someone because they know a lot of things about the family. They don’t deserve to die. Veronica has this furious expression on her with a dash of disappointment. Veronica: I thought you love la familia? Sora: I do. Veronica: You said you would protect la familia. You’re betraying us.
Sora: I’m not betraying la familia. I’m protecting our high morality and values. Veronica: We were wrong about you, Sora. You don’t love us. And that especially goes for Sofía. Sora: That’s not true. Tears began forming around my eyes. My voice started to crack. Veronica: Where’s your mother? When was the last time you have spoken to her? Your brother? Twin sisters? Marido and I kept on asking your mamá. When is she going to come over just to see you? Or take you away to let you live with your family. How can you ever feel love from your mamá if she doesn’t see and talk to you? I broke down crying, and I went over to her and grabbed her hands.
Sora: Don’t make me do this. Please reconsider. Veronica removed my hands away from and took one step back. Veronica: I think you need to be re-educated. She tried to place her right hand on my forehead, but I backed away. I look at her cold demeanor, it made my heart sank, I wiped away my tears and got down on one knee. Veronica: Great! I knew you would see it my way. Have fun. And don’t worry about seeing your mi vida tonight. She won’t leave her room or wake up until she wakes up at her usual time. You can go crazy if you want. And remember... no loose ends. She walked away for good this time. She’s probably heading off to bed. While the deed gets done.
Why? Just why? These guys have done nothing wrong. You want me to kill people that been nothing but kind to me and la familia. This whole situation is just plain on wrong! It’s wrong. It’s one thing if it were our enemies but our own staff. Is there a way to save them? Think? Just think of something. What if I hid them in my grimoire? No, I need actual bodies. Once la policía gets here and run a investigation, forensics will find out if the remains are fake or not. So, that’s out of question. And there’s another thing Veronica might be lurking around watching to make sure I do the task. Now that I think about it. She did just give the security team a paid 3 days off. They should be coming back at two in the afternoon.
So Veronica was planning this for a little while. What if I kill half of them and let the rest go? Then I would be exposed as the murderer and even the courts believed me this house will fall. Come on brain think of something. There has to be another way. What if I trapped them inside the underground catacomb prison. It would be almost impossible for them to escape without inside help. Veronica could simply do that instead of making me kill them. But Veronica doesn’t like the possible chances. Even if it’s a one percent chance she would take it as an absolute certainty. This entire thing is so...messed up. Come on brain think of something! You’re smart right?! I have to hurry! Come on! Be a hero! You have to save them! Okay, what if I used death magic binding whispers, so they won’t be able to spill anything about the family!

That will work! There’s no way Veronica would... no I can’t allow her to find out I have death magic. Especially what she was planning. She’s willing to kill anyone if it furthers la familia political gain. Even if I expose the truth about my death magic... let me think like Veronica for a sec. They can’t say anything about la familia, or they will die. But if they were willing to die to give out any tiny bit of information she wouldn’t take the chance. I don’t think none of them would die for that. But I think Veronica would say something like this... what happens if they have nothing to lose? What if they want to die? Or willing to die to take down la familia. That’s too many what if’s for her. Damn it! I’m spending time I don’t have right now. If Benson comes in early he would get killed by me. I don’t want to kill him! I don’t want to kill anybody. And what if the security team come in early as well?! Then more lives will be lost! And the chefs?
What if I... no I consider killing them! I’m better than this! There’s no way I could do this right?! What about cutting off their limbs and destroy their larynx. No, knowing Veronica she would kill them of a chance of communicating. Maybe if I just tell them, maybe we can figure it out. No, it would cause a panic. Is it best just to kill them outright. Maybe if I tell Ben we can maybe come up with something. If not...then I guess... I have to... no! I have to believe in old man Ben. He’s wise he will come up with something.
I entered through dark oak freshly polished wooden double doors. There are twenty-five maids and thirty-nine butlers. Half the butlers are at the bar drinking and the maids are on the couches having a wonderful chat. As I went in further everybody noticed me. I went in the front of the room, right in front of the podium. I noticed Ben and I waved him over. Ah, Benjamin Lockhart the head butler, he’s an older Caucasian with a slick back messy, black and gray-haired gentleman that look like in his mid-eighties. But he’s really over two-hundred-seventy-five years old.
Ben: Young master Sora. Is there something wrong, your eyes look puffed? Did someone eat the last pudding cup again or did madame Veronica had some harsh criticism? Sora: Umm, no. Umm, how do I say this? Ben: Alright, what’s the wildfire this time? Sora: I don’t know how to deliver this. Ben: What’s that? Sora: Oh, this is for you! I handed him the rose gold envelope, he opened it. There’s this royal purple letter. The old man began laughing up a storm.
Sora: Why are you laughing? Ben: Oi! Everyone! I need your full attention! This is important! Everyone became locked in on us. Sora: What did it say? Ben: Veronica gave this to you? Sora: Umm, yeah, did she write the letter? Ben: No, it was Lord Henry. Let me ask you Sora? Was this Veronica’s plan? Sora: Yes. So, what do we do? Ben started laughing. He reached inside of suit pocket and pulled out his Cuban cigar and cut the cap end of it with wind magic. Ben: Sora, light this up for me please. A lighter doesn’t compare. I lit up his cigar. He started smoking. He’s quite calm and pleased. Sora: Ben? What’s the plan, and what did the letter say? Ben: Lord Henry wants to give me a private island and spend the rest of my days there. All of the staff started applauding.
Ben: I wouldn’t be cheering if I were any of you. This bloody news I’m going to give you is going to be the worse thing you ever heard? Sora: Wait, you’re telling them? Ben: It’s the right thing to do. We’re going to die because of what Veronica been scheming. Probably something to deal with the crown’s favor. She has plans and it involves us getting killed. Lord Henry written this letter for me to retire and enjoy the rest of my days. And stay hidden to the public. He’s wants to spare me. But as he predicted I’m going to reject the offer. And I’m going to hold off the killer as long as possible. Jacob Lizowski, a Caucasian male in his mid-twenties with black greasy slick back hair. Jacob came to the Ben with confusion. Jacob: You’re pranking us! You can’t keep a straight face! You're smiling and laughing a lot! Excuse my language but stop being bloody clown, so we can all go home for the night. It was a long day like always. I just want some sleep.
Ben: Lord Henry! I know you’re eavesdropping! And don’t come in! You can’t change my mind! I hired the majority of the staff! It’s my fault their in this mess! I told you if you listen to Veronica you can’t be shy about it! Veronica will either turn the house of Accordia into an empire or she will burn it to the ground! When you use her, you can’t be shy about it! You married her, you know what kind of monster she really is! I knew this when I first saw her twenty-seven years ago, my lord! You have to keep moving forward! Do not back peddle this decision! Let this be my final task. My death will progress this house forward! So go back to your bedroom! And get rid of all your shoes. Make sure to not touch anything! This is goodbye Henry! It was an honor to serve the Accordia’s for three hundred fifty-four years! I’ve met a lot of people in this family. Henry, you’re one of my favorite lords to ever take the helm. Jacob: Benjamin the joke has gone far enough! You’re scaring people! Sora: It’s not a joke. He’s serious.
Jacob: No bloody fucking way! Ben: Jacob, do you know who’s going to be our executioner? Jacob: It’s makes no sense! Why are we getting killed? How does our deaths further them? Sora: Veronica, was like ya’ll know too much. They could expose la familia’s secrets. Jacob: This night is being a fucking cunt! Ben: That can’t be all, I’m thinking something else happened for her to pull the trigger. I think Veronica got scared by something or had a dream about something. Or some advice. But I think there’s another reason. Jacob: You think so? Is it our performance reports?
Ben: I guess I can tell you this. They don’t really care because I deal with discipline when it comes to all of you. They just pretend to be upset half of the time. Jacob: Is it the same for behavior reports? Ben: I almost forgot! That’s it! Jacob: But wouldn’t she just fire us if we weren’t meshing well. Ben: Unless, someone gave her false reports, so all of you can keep your jobs. Jacob: But there are two questions? Who writes the behavior reports, and why write false one to keep our jobs? Ben: The answer is obvious! It’s young master Sora! Jacob: Kid, you write the reports?! Sora: Yeah. Jacob: All the things that we said! And... you covered for us. Thanks kid. That’s really kind of you.
He shouldn’t be thanking me! In a few moments I will be his killer and Ben is just accepting everything with grace.
Ben: Him being nice to the people that don’t deserve jobs is what got us killed. Well, soon to be killed. Jacob: But here’s one thing how did she know they were false reports? Ben: Easy, la rata. One of us in this room is the snitch. They probably did it, for money and favoritism. It’s quite hilarious that the snitch also wrote their own death warrant. They will be killed alongside us. Jacob: Who’s the snitch? Ben: I know who it is. But there’s no point of knowing. They feel terrible right now. Jacob: Come on, tell us who it is! At least a hint. There in their twenties. Jacob: Oh, come on! That only eliminates twenty-two of us from the list!
