Calvin surveyed the scene before him from atop the hilltop. The portal had delivered them to a vantage point overlooking a vast valley, where a massive enemy force had gathered. At the center of the valley stood a large crystal array, surrounded by a formidable army of monsters. Calvin counted at least a dozen towering behemoths, their monstrous forms casting long shadows across the valley floor. Hundreds of smaller creatures stood in formation around them, creating a sea of grotesque bodies.
Reaper, the team's sharpshooter, peered through the scope of his rifle to get a closer look at the enemy's activities. His keen eyes spotted two human figures among the monsters, apparently directing the construction efforts around the crystal array. The sight of humans collaborating with Kyrak's forces sent a wave of disgust and anger through the leaders of Olympus. The idea that some of their own kind had turned against humanity and joined forces with the enemy was a bitter pill to swallow.
As Reaper continued his surveillance, he observed multiple monsters constructing various pieces of the array and transporting materials to support the ongoing work. The crystal structure seemed to be the focal point of their efforts, though its purpose remained unclear.
Calvin's mind raced as he processed the information relayed by Reaper. The presence of the behemoths and the sheer number of monsters posed a significant threat to their mission. However, he knew that they had to act quickly to disrupt whatever plans Kyrak had set in motion.
With a determined expression, Calvin turned to the artillery drones that had accompanied them through the portal. These advanced machines, created by Seth's ingenuity, were equipped with an array of powerful weapons capable of delivering devastating strikes from a distance.
"Form the artillery up in a wide line," Calvin commanded, his voice carrying authority. "Stay just behind the hilltop, out of sight until it's time to engage."
The artillery drones whirred to life, their metallic bodies shifting and aligning as they moved into position. They spread out along the hilltop, creating a formidable line of firepower ready to rain destruction upon the enemy below.
Once the drones were in formation, Calvin took a deep breath and prepared to issue his orders. He knew that the success of their mission hinged on the effectiveness of their initial strike.
"Listen up," he said, his eyes scanning the faces of his fellow leaders. "We're going to hit them hard and fast. Two of the artillery drones will target the crystal array structure. We need to disrupt whatever they're building there."
He pointed to four of the drones. "These will perform a widespread bombardment of the army below. Maximize the damage to the smaller monsters. Thin out their numbers as much as possible."
Finally, he turned to the remaining artillery drones. "The rest will focus their fire on the behemoths. Ensure these are loaded with the highest damage projectiles. We need to take those monstrosities down quickly."
The drones acknowledged Calvin's orders, their systems primed and ready for action. The air buzzed with anticipation as the team prepared for the imminent clash.
Calvin's heart pounded in his chest as he raised his hand, ready to give the signal. He knew that the fate of Olympus and the future of humanity rested on the outcome of this battle. With a deep breath, he brought his hand down, signaling the artillery drones to move forward.
The drones surged over the hilltop, their sleek forms glinting in the sunlight. As they crested the ridge, their weapons systems locked onto their designated targets, ready to unleash a barrage of destruction.
The first salvo erupted from the drones targeting the crystal array. Explosive projectiles streaked through the air, leaving trails of smoke in their wake. The missiles impacted the array with tremendous force, sending shards of crystal flying in all directions. The structure shuddered under the onslaught, cracks spreading across its surface.
Simultaneously, the four drones assigned to the widespread bombardment opened fire. A hail of plasma bolts and incendiary rounds rained down upon the army below, painting the valley in a hellish glow. The smaller monsters were caught in the crossfire, their bodies disintegrating under the relentless assault. Screams of pain and rage filled the air as the creatures fell by the dozens.
The behemoths, however, proved more resilient. Their thick hides and massive frames withstood the initial barrage, though they were not left unscathed. The artillery drones targeting them unleashed their most powerful projectiles, each one designed to penetrate even the toughest armor.
Explosions rocked the valley as the behemoths were struck, their roars of agony echoing off the surrounding cliffs. Some staggered under the impact, their limbs torn and bleeding, while others managed to maintain their footing, their eyes blazing with fury.
Calvin watched the chaos unfold, his heart racing with a mixture of exhilaration and dread. The initial strike had been devastating, but he knew that the battle was far from over. The behemoths and the remaining monsters would not go down easily, and the human collaborators posed an unknown threat.
Immediately a shimmering dome emerged, enveloping the array and much of the army. Artillery strikes smashed into the dome, causing a ripple on the surface, however no damage penetrated the barrier.
"Dammit!" Calvin said. "Reaper! Tank! What do you think?"
Tank looked at the barrier for a moment. "If Seth was here he could probably give us better information, but the barrier has to use energy of some sort. I say we continue hitting the barrier to drain that source. It has to give out sometime."
"We can't just sit up here though and let them prepare a counterattack. We've gotta move."
Ian watched as the barrier shimmered with each strike and he formulated a plan. Below, in the valley, the monstrous army began to stir.

"Listen, we need to focus all of the artillery fire on a single point. Reaper, Call in your Ion Strike and Kinetic Bombardment, Immediately after you fire those, use a gravity round right where the Artillery will strike. We need to time this perfectly. I'll take it from there."
The group didn't hesitate for a single moment. They knew Ian knew his shit, especially when it came to magic.
Ian closed his eyes and drew energies from within. Calvin prepared the drones to fire and awaited Ian's order.
"Now!"
As if the apocalypse had reappeared, the world turned upside down. Twelve artillery blasts followed by two orbital strikes all lurched out simultaneously, heading for the same point on the shield.
Ian focused and for him, time appeared to slow. He could see the converging rounds followed closely by Reaper's gravity shot. Ian reached out and connected to the gravity round's latent elemental energies. He accelerated it slightly so that it would arrive just a moment before the others. The shot struck the shield, and a black ripple expanded from the impact. Ian grabbed the gravitational energies and expanded them, time seemed to slow even further. The remaining rounds inched their way toward the impact zone as they struck and slowly began to break apart into explosions of various elemental energies. Ian's senses enveloped each of these vast points of energy and drew them within the field of the gravity round. As the energies concentrated within the center of the strike, he enveloped them with the gravity field and collapsed it.
To Calvin and the rest, the gravity round appeared to strike the shield, then nothing. The artillery shells seemed to completely vanish.
Ian opened his eyes, and snapped his finger. "Pop!" he said.
The entire world went white. The twelve artillery rounds all contained different elemental essences. Ian had collapsed them into a singularity, combining the chaotic energies before collapsing the gravity bubble that held them together. The release of chaotic, twisted energy annihilated the barrier.
As the blinding light from the collapsing barrier faded, the battlefield came into focus once more. The valley lay in ruins, with the shattered remains of the crystal array scattered across the charred ground. The monstrous army, once a formidable force, now found itself in disarray, their ranks decimated by the devastating attack.
Calvin seized the opportunity, his voice booming across the battlefield. "Charge! Press the advantage! Don't let them regroup!"
The Olympian army surged forward, their weapons at the ready. The artillery drones continued their relentless barrage, raining down destruction upon the remaining monsters. The ground trembled beneath the feet of the advancing soldiers as they closed in on their enemies.
Calvin, Amy, and Freya formed a tight formation, their eyes set on the largest behemoth that towered over the battlefield. The colossal creature stood at least fifty feet tall, its body a grotesque amalgamation of twisted flesh and pulsating veins. Its head was a nightmarish visage, with multiple eyes that glowed with an eerie red light and a gaping maw filled with razor-sharp teeth.
As they approached the behemoth, Calvin's grip tightened on his weapon. He knew that taking down this monstrosity would be no easy feat, but he was determined to clear a path to the humans and the remnants of the array at the center of the enemy's formation.
The behemoth let out a deafening roar, its massive limbs thrashing wildly as it turned its attention towards the approaching trio. Its skin seemed to ripple and shift, revealing patches of hardened scales and exposed bone. The creature's movements were erratic and unpredictable, driven by a primal rage that knew no bounds.
Calvin called upon the power of the Titanic Spark within him, channeling the storm essence that coursed through his veins. Crystalline armor materialized around his body, encasing him in a protective shell that crackled with energy. With a fierce cry, he charged forward, his bladestaff poised to strike.
Amy darted alongside him, her movements swift and precise. She wielded her daggers with deadly grace, the primordial toxins coating their blades glinting in the chaotic light of the battlefield. Her eyes narrowed as she assessed the behemoth's weaknesses, searching for an opening to exploit.
Freya, the loyal Aetherwolf, bounded ahead, her powerful legs propelling her towards the behemoth with incredible speed. Her fur bristled with primal energy, and her eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity. She let out a fierce howl, the sound echoing across the valley and sending a shiver down the spines of the enemy forces.
As they closed in on the behemoth, the creature lashed out with its massive claws, attempting to swat them away like insignificant insects. Calvin and Amy deftly dodged the attacks, their enhanced reflexes allowing them to evade the deadly blows. Freya leaped onto the behemoth's arm, her razor-sharp teeth sinking into its flesh as she clawed her way up its body. Vines of Decay sprouted from her hide and writhed around the behemoth. Sharp barbs on the vines dug into the flesh of the behemoth, spreading its decaying effects.
The behemoth roared in pain and fury, its movements becoming more erratic as it tried to shake off the Aetherwolf. Calvin seized the opportunity, unleashing a torrent of storm energy from his bladestaff. The crackling bolts of lightning struck the behemoth's head, causing it to reel back in agony.
Amy darted in, her daggers finding the weak points in the behemoth's flesh. She plunged her blades deep into its flesh, injecting the primordial toxins directly into its bloodstream. The behemoth convulsed as the poison coursed through its body, its movements becoming sluggish and uncoordinated.
Freya continued her relentless assault, tearing at the behemoth's flesh with savage ferocity. Her powerful jaws clamped down on the creature's throat, her teeth sinking deep into its jugular. With a sickening crunch, she ripped out a chunk of the behemoth's flesh, causing it to stagger and stumble.
Calvin pressed forward, his eyes locked on the humans and the remnants of the array at the center of the battlefield. He knew that whatever Kyrak had planned, it was critical to disrupt it. If they could throw a wrench into the enemy's machinations, it might draw Kyrak out into the open, giving them a chance to confront him directly.
As they fought their way through the chaos, Calvin caught a glimpse of the humans directing the enemy forces. They were clad in dark, ornate armor, their faces obscured by twisted helmets. They seemed to be orchestrating the movements of the monsters, guiding them with sinister purpose.
Calvin's resolve hardened as he witnessed the humans' betrayal of their own kind. He knew that they had to be stopped, their allegiance to Kyrak severed once and for all. With renewed determination, he surged forward, his bladestaff crackling with storm energy as he prepared to engage the traitorous humans.
Amy and Freya followed close behind, their own abilities primed and ready. Together, they formed an unstoppable force, cutting a swath through the enemy ranks as they closed in on their target.
The battlefield was a symphony of chaos and destruction, with the sounds of clashing weapons, roaring monsters, and crackling energy filling the air. The Olympian army fought with unwavering courage, their determination fueled by the knowledge that the fate of humanity rested on their shoulders.
As they neared the center of the enemy formation, Calvin's eyes locked onto the humans directing the array. He could see the malevolent energy swirling around them, a dark aura that seemed to pulse with an unholy power. Whatever Kyrak had planned, these humans were at the heart of it, and Calvin knew that he had to put an end to their machinations.
The two humans pressed their hands together and began to chant. A ball of sickly green energy formed between their palms. As the seconds ticked by, it grew brighter and pulsed with a malevolent power. Calvin knew that whatever this was, it spelled trouble.
