SS:E Ch. 23 Fight for Olympus

Calvin gripped his spear tightly as he sprinted to face off against the wounded minor behemoth. The creature's once-rocky exterior now pulsed with an unnerving, otherworldly energy. Its eyes glowed a malevolent red, and its movements had become more erratic and unpredictable.

Calvin knew he had to act fast. The archano-cannons were still charging, and if the behemoths reached full power before they could fire, Olympus would be in grave danger. He took a deep breath and called upon his skills, feeling the familiar surge of energy coursing through his body.

With a fierce battle cry, Calvin charged forward. He activated Resonant Charge, building up electrical energy with each step. The air crackled around him as he closed the distance between himself and the behemoth.

The creature let out a deafening roar and swung its massive, pulsing arm at Calvin. He deftly dodged the attack, rolling to the side and planting his spear in the ground. Activating Storm Legion, three shield-bearing storm legionnaires materialized around him.

The legionnaires struck at the behemoth with their spears, drawing its attention away from Calvin. He seized the opportunity and leaped onto the creature's back, driving his spear deep into its pulsing flesh.

The behemoth thrashed violently, trying to shake Calvin off. He held on tightly, channeling more energy into his spear. Cracks began to form in the behemoth's skin, and a blinding light poured out from within.

Suddenly, the behemoth's arm connected with Calvin, sending him flying through the air. He landed hard on the ground, his breath knocked out of him. Pain shot through his body, and he realized he had been wounded.

Gritting his teeth, Calvin pushed himself back to his feet. He could feel the warm, sticky blood seeping through his armor, but he refused to yield. The behemoth was weakening, and he knew he had to press on.

Calvin called upon Chain Fury. He released a stored electric charge, sending a ranged attack chaining through the behemoth. The creature roared in pain as the electricity coursed through its body, causing it to convulse violently.

Calvin's storm legionnaires continued their assault, absorbing damage from the behemoth's attacks. As each legionnaire fell, it erupted in a directional wave of lightning, further weakening the creature.

Despite his wounds, Calvin pressed forward. He infused his spear with storm essence and activated Stormwalk, phasing through space and reappearing behind the behemoth. With a powerful thrust, he drove his spear into the creature's glowing core.

The behemoth let out an agonized roar as cracks spread across its body. Calvin channeled every ounce of his remaining strength into his spear, pouring more energy into the behemoth's core.

In a blinding flash of light, the behemoth exploded, sending shards of pulsing energy flying in all directions. Calvin was thrown back by the force of the explosion, landing hard on the ground once more.

As the dust settled, Calvin struggled to catch his breath. His body ached, and his wounds throbbed with pain. But the behemoth lay still, its energy dissipating into the air.

Calvin looked up at the remaining behemoths, their forms still pulsing with dark energy. He knew the fight was far from over, but he had bought Olympus precious time. The archano-cannons were nearly charged, and soon they would unleash their devastating power upon the monstrous creatures.

With a grunt of pain, Calvin pushed himself back to his feet. He retrieved his spear and prepared to face the next challenge, his resolve unwavering in the face of the impending danger. Olympus would not fall this day, not while he still drew breath.

Calvin's heart raced as he watched the larger behemoth unleash a devastating attack on his soldiers. The creature channeled a dark, pulsing energy, its breath washing over a group of six Olympian warriors. In an instant, their armor and weapons dissolved, melting away as if they were nothing more than wax in the sun. The soldiers' screams of agony were cut short as their bodies crumbled to ash, leaving nothing but a haunting silence in their wake.

Before Calvin could even process the horror of what he had just witnessed, the behemoth lashed out with a massive, pulsing tentacle. It swept across the battlefield, striking another squad of soldiers and sending them flying through the air like rag dolls. They hit the ground with sickening thuds, their bodies broken and bleeding.

Calvin's mind raced as he tried to assess the situation. The larger behemoth was pressing forward, its power seemingly unstoppable. The Olympian troops were falling back, their weapons and skills proving ineffective against the creature's dark energy.

Out of the corner of his eye, Calvin saw Amy and Freya engaged in a fierce battle with the minor behemoth. They were holding their own, but he could see the strain on their faces as they dodged and weaved around the creature's attacks.

Amy's daggers flashed in the sunlight as she activated Death's Door, disappearing from sight and reappearing behind the behemoth. She plunged her blades into its pulsing flesh, causing the creature to roar in pain. Freya, in her giant wolf form, lunged at the behemoth, her powerful jaws clamping down on its arm.

Despite their valiant efforts, Calvin could see that Amy and Freya were being pressed hard. The minor behemoth's attacks were relentless, and they were struggling to find an opening to strike back.

Calvin's mind was torn. He knew he had to make a decision, and fast. The larger behemoth was decimating his troops, and if he didn't act soon, there would be nothing left of Olympus' army. But he couldn't just leave Amy and Freya to fend for themselves against the minor behemoth.

As if sensing his hesitation, Amy's voice rang out across the battlefield. "Calvin!" she screamed, her voice strained with exertion. "Go help the others! We've got this!"

Calvin's heart clenched at the thought of leaving Amy and Freya to face the minor behemoth alone, but he knew she was right. The larger behemoth was the greater threat, and he had to focus his efforts on stopping it before it could do any more damage.

With a heavy heart, Calvin turned his attention to the larger behemoth. He called upon his skills, feeling the familiar surge of energy coursing through his body. He activated Stormlord's Divine Judgement, summoning a massive bolt of lightning from the sky.

The lightning struck the behemoth with a deafening crack, causing the creature to stumble backwards. Its pulsing flesh sizzled and smoked, but it quickly regained its footing and let out a deafening roar.

Calvin knew he had to act fast. He charged forward, his spear crackling with electrical energy. Resonant Charge was building up power with each step. As he closed the distance between himself and the behemoth, he could feel the air around him growing thick with static.

The behemoth swung its massive arm at Calvin, but he dodged the attack with lightning-fast reflexes. He leaped into the air, his spear poised to strike. With a fierce battle cry, he brought the weapon down on the behemoth's pulsing core.

The spear pierced the behemoth's flesh, and Calvin channeled every ounce of his energy into the strike. The creature let out an agonized roar as cracks began to form in its core. Calvin pressed forward, driving his spear deeper into the behemoth's body.

But the creature was not finished yet. It lashed out with its tentacles, wrapping them around Calvin's body and lifting him into the air. He struggled against the behemoth's grip, feeling the air being squeezed from his lungs.

Through the haze of pain, Calvin could see Amy and Freya still locked in combat with the minor behemoth. They were both wounded, their armor dented and their weapons chipped. But they refused to yield, their determination unwavering in the face of their foe.

Calvin gasped for air as the behemoth's tentacle tightened around his body, squeezing the life out of him. He could feel his bones cracking under the immense pressure, and his vision began to blur. The pain was excruciating, and he knew he had only moments before he would lose consciousness.

The behemoth opened its massive, gaping maw, preparing to unleash another blast of the corrosive energy directly into Calvin's face. Calvin's heart raced as he stared into the depths of the creature's mouth, knowing that this could be the end.

Suddenly, a powerful shot rang out across the battlefield. Reaper, seeing Calvin's desperate situation, had activated All In, firing a devastating round directly into the behemoth's open mouth. The creature stumbled, its attack interrupted by the unexpected assault.

Tank, seizing the opportunity, followed up with a volley of Devastator Rounds aimed at the behemoth's tentacle that held Calvin. The explosive rounds tore through the creature's flesh, severing the tentacle and causing Calvin to plummet to the ground.

Calvin hit the earth with a heavy thud, gasping for air as he struggled to regain his senses. His body ached from the crushing pressure of the behemoth's grip, and he could feel the warm, sticky blood seeping through his armor.

As he pushed himself to his feet, Calvin heard a deafening roar that shook the very ground beneath him. He looked up to see all three Archano-Cannons firing their shots simultaneously, the powerful beams of energy converging on the major behemoth.

The behemoth's pulsing flesh sizzled and smoked as the Archano-Cannons' blasts struck its body. The creature thrashed violently, its tentacles flailing in all directions as it tried to escape the onslaught.

Calvin watched in awe as the behemoth's movements began to slow, its body weakening under the relentless assault. Cracks began to form in its pulsing flesh, and a blinding light poured out from within.

The Archano-Cannons continued to fire, their energy beams growing more intense with each passing second. The behemoth's roars of pain echoed across the battlefield, drowning out the sounds of combat.

Calvin's heart raced as he watched the behemoth's body begin to crumble, its flesh disintegrating under the immense power of the Archano-Cannons. He knew that this was their chance to turn the tide of the battle, to strike a decisive blow against the monstrous creature.

Out of the corner of his eye, Calvin saw Amy and Freya still engaged in combat with the minor behemoth. They were both wounded, their movements slower and more labored than before. But they refused to yield, their determination unwavering in the face of their foe.

Calvin's mind raced as he tried to assess the situation. The major behemoth was weakening, but it was not yet defeated. And Amy and Freya were still in danger, their strength waning with each passing moment.

He knew he had to act fast. With a deep breath, Calvin called upon his skills once more. He activated Chain Fury, releasing a stored electric charge that chained through the major behemoth's body.

The creature convulsed violently as the electricity coursed through its flesh, causing it to stumble and fall to one knee. Calvin seized the opportunity and charged forward, his spear crackling with energy.

He leaped into the air, bringing his spear down on the behemoth's pulsing core with all his might. The weapon pierced the creature's flesh, and Calvin channeled every ounce of his remaining strength into the strike.

The behemoth let out a final, agonized roar as its body began to disintegrate. Cracks spread across its flesh, and a blinding light poured out from within. Calvin shielded his eyes as the creature exploded, sending shards of pulsing energy flying in all directions.

As the dust settled, Calvin looked up to see the major behemoth's remains scattered across the battlefield. The creature was no more, its dark energy dissipating into the air.

But there was no time to celebrate. Calvin turned his attention back to Amy and Freya, who were still locked in combat with the minor behemoth. He knew they needed his help, and he refused to let them fight alone.

With a fierce determination, Calvin sprinted towards his companions, his spear at the ready.
