CHAPTER 41

People like Don Krieg always put their most valuable possessions under their direct control, which was this ship. First, Kreegan headed for the two bags that stood next to Don Krieg's golden throne and said to Lex,

"I need these bags, but we will share the bounty."

Lex nodded approvingly. Kreegan picked up bags full of money containing 200 million bellies. He opened the shop and entered the enchantments tab. This time, he passed over the sword enchantments and picked up the item box and bag of holding. Item box provided him with one cubic meter of dimensional space, and the bag of holding was a crafting blueprint for an enchanted bag with one cubic meter of dimensional space. The Item box was thief-proof, but the bag of holding wasn't; anyone that possessed it could open it. So, he bought the item box.

Then both got inside the ship and found the captain's cabin. When they entered, they looted everywhere but found nothing but 20 million bellies. Kreegan would be lying if he said he wasn't disappointed. He gave Lex the 20 million he found so Lex could use it for the ship. Just as he was leaving the room, he remembered the spy and detective series he had watched.

"Let's make sure we look everywhere. Smash all the furniture, and I'll tear down the walls. But first, I'll pack our bounty upstairs; you keep it up, and I will be back."

Kreegan climbed onto the deck and began to collect the heads of the entire main crew. Don Krieg was worth 32 million, Gin 22 million, Pearl and Hustle 15 million, and Kagikko and Ideaman 7 million. All of them worthed 98 million bellies. Kreegan cut their heads off and then put them into his item box.

After returning, he started ripping all the walls and floorboards. After 15 minutes, more fighting sounds were coming from outside. He was getting bored now, he smashed the table aside, and when he put his hand on the floorboard, he realized it was shaking. The wood here was not bolted to the floor. He picked it up and saw a small chest underneath. He opened the chest, and inside, it was an orange color banana with a zigzag motif on it. Lex said in a surprised voice.

"A devil fruit, it really is a treasure."

Without delay, Kreegan put the fruit in his item box. Lex was surprised to see the fruit disappear.

Kreegan told him about the item box and bag of holding.

"Okay, you are making me one right away."

"We can't right now; I need six square feet of Sea King leather to make one."

"Didn't you just say it would be the size of a purse? Why do you need that much leather?"

"To make it one cubic meter, I need material for one cubic meter that is 6 square meters of leather. After I finish making and enchanting it, the bag will be as small as a purse, but the space will remain the same."

While they were going out Lex said,

"Why do you think he didn't eat this? "

"People who are paranoid like Don Krieg don't eat devil fruit that they don't know what it does. They'd rather sell it than eat it. In an auction, it would go for hundreds of millions or maybe billions. Don't you know how rare a devil fruit is?"

He shuddered when he thought about the taste. They both got out of the ship, and Kreegan put the heads into a sack and then put them back into the item box. Lex, who couldn't understand what he was doing, looked at him like saying what are you doing?

"Don’t you hear the fighting sound coming from outside? We most likely have to show them to Smoker. Do you want to announce to every Marine here that I had a magical space?"

"Yes, you are right."

Smoker flew through the air, coordinating the Marines in each area and neutralizing the pirates he saw as leaders. Lex turned into half-tiger form and started attacking every pirate he came across. Kreegan, on the other hand, first buffed himself with Cat's Grace, and his dex increased by +4 immediately after that; he used the Expeditious Retreat buff. He felt that everyone around him was moving very slowly because his dexterity had risen to 22 for the next 4 min.

Having a Dex of 22 meant he was equivalent to a level 5 person. With this stat, even if he couldn't beat Smoker, he could go toe to toe with him for 4 minutes. He not only had speed but also had cold iron enchantment on Ichinami, but he still couldn't beat Smoker. Kreegan swept through pirates like a storm of death, occasionally combining Ray of Enfeeblement with Nanajuni Pound Ho (72 Pound Phoenix) and taking out nearly a hundred pirates in one hit.

The pirates who survived the attack hardly had any power to move their arms. In half an hour, the pirate hideout was painted red with pirate blood. Even after Kreegan's buff expired, he continued to cut the men ruthlessly. Don Krieg may not have recognized Kreegan's face, but the surviving Krieg pirates will remember that face for the rest of their lives.

The raid was over. After a small greeting with Smoker and Tashigi, they showed the heads as evidence and continued on their way. Kreegan could sense he was getting closer to revenge, but they weren't ready for the Arlong pirates yet. The Krieg pirates may be seen as the most dangerous group for the Marines, but they were not the strongest.

Arlong's group was much stronger than these guys, but because Arlong was a bit smart, he chose to get stronger silently. Kreegan thought he would be ready when he reached level 5, but if he hadn't fallen into that strange state of mind, he wasn't sure if he would have had an opportunity to beat Krieg.

This state of mind felt similar to Luffy's brain-off state he used at the Skypiea arc. Kreegan thought this might be the most basic type of accidental application of haki, but he had no idea how he did that or how it felt. He remembered nothing about it; all he remembered was his will to live and how it had felt more like an obsession to live at that moment.
