CHAPTER 16

Annoyedly, Kreegan dropped what he was holding to the ground and cut the bludgeon in the big man's hand in half with a quick Iai slash. The man stared at his weapon with his mouth dropped to the floor and bulging eyes because only its handle remained in his hands. Right away, both men kneeled on the ground and started begging for their life.

"Please forgive us, good sir, we didn't want to do this, but we have to. We are not bandits or pirates; we are just simple fishermen."

"If you're a fisherman, why are you trying to rob people instead of doing your job?"

These big men suddenly started to cry like little children.

"Do you think we want to do this, but we don't have any choice, and we don't have our fishing boat anymore. We have to pay Gold Pirates at the end of every month. Last month they took our boat because we couldn't pay. If we can't pay this month, too, they will start killing people."

"If you have a pirate problem, why don't you ask the Marines for help?"

the other shorter man said angrily.

Kreegan placed his hand on his sword, and the other man placed a peg on the top of the short man's head. The big man whispered.

"you idiot, do you have a death wish? answer properly!"

Young hero, we did ask for Marine's help, but they said that if we didn't know where these pirates were, they wouldn't be able to plant a warship here, and since this is a small village, they wouldn't be able to open an outpost. As soon as Kreegan said that, both of the men's eyes began to shine.

Kreegan had been here for two weeks and had all the information he could about Eldoraggo. He would no longer be so stupid as to underestimate his opponents. Learned from the villagers how many men Eldoraggo estimated. He learned about his personal power from the Wanted poster.

Kreegan boarded the ship with no weapons in hand and placed the crate in front of him. The ship's deck was packed, and among the men stood out a large, dark-skinned man with hair like a red lion's mane. On Eldoraggo's shoulders and waist were scale armors made of gold or metal painted gold color. Because Kreegan never watched any fillers or movies of One Piece, he had no idea if he was an original to this world or from the shows.

Next to Eldoraggo was a man as tall as him. This was Golass. He had a green cap with white feathers at the back of it and Native American-looking clothing, but he couldn't decide if it was North or South America. At his back, there was a giant two-handed blade with a green handle.

"Did you manage to ready all of the money, or should we start some entertainment like last time?"

Kreegan said timidly, pretending to be afraid of pirates.

"of course, we did, captain. Of course, we did. We don't want any more trouble. So, we readied the best tribute for you. With your hard work, you deserved every little shiny part of it."
