Day 17

Surprisingly when I woke up I didn't feel any pain at all from yesterdays battle.

Mother and my siblings checked on me to see if I was okay. Which was sweet of them. When they saw that I was fine they went on to do their own business.

I went out to the stream which was probably about a mile away because I was thirsty.

I got there in about 15 minutes. While I was drinking from the stream I felt uneasy for some reason. My gut told me to run... now....

I quickly dashed off in the direction back to the cave where mother was.

There was a ROAR behind me. I was scared shitless. I thought I was going to die. I ran was fast as my four legs could take me without looking back.

When I saw the cave and that it was within distance I looked back... that was a mistake.

I got hit with a massive paw and it sent me 10 meters away and I hit a tree. I yelped in pain as my eyesight went fuzzy I felt my ribs crack... again...

I heard another RROOOAAAR  this time it was a lot bigger. I painfully move my head to see this new predator. But to my relief I see that it is mother rushing towards the beast that tried to kill me.

She roars 10 times louder than the beast that was chasing me and i see that it is some kind of bear. It is about 6 feet tall and it stood up on its hind legs trying to intimidate mother with its 5 extra feet.

There is a strange red aura coming from mother as she hits the bears head with her paw and I don't know what the hell happened.

Suddenly the bears head was there, the next second it was gone and I see its brains all over the ground and on some trees. The dead bears body falls to the ground with a heavy thud and my vision slowly grows darker and I pass out.

Day 18

I woke up and felt a little groggy from yesterday and a bit sore. I saw that i was in the cave. I guess mother put me in here. I wonder what that strange aura was that was coming from her and how she decapitated that bear with a swipe of her paw.

I got up painfully and mother came over and began licking me all over. I think she was giving me a bath. After she was done I miraculously no longer felt any pain or soreness. Wow...

"Come and eat."-Mother

I followed her as she led me out of the cave and saw that there was still plenty of meat from the dead bear.

I ate hungrily as I didn't eat anything yesterday.

After I was eating I noticed that there were windows that popped up from yesterday that I didn't notice.

Hmm... I think I have a vague idea on what instinct is... and it looks like running for my life increased my stats quite a bit.

I went up to mother.

"What was the red thing around you when you fought that bear?"-Me

She looked at me amused.

"It was mana. I covered myself with it and enhanced my body to make myself stronger. Only intelligent beings are able to do this. Some are able to go even farther than what I could do."-Mother

"Can you teach me?"-Me

"Hmmm.... Maybe tomorrow when your siblings are all here."-Mother

Woah... this is pretty neat it shows everything that I've done so far.

After spending time looking at my stats I just laze around and go to sleep.
