Day 32 continued...
"Grr..."-???
I heard a sound inside the cave. I looked around the dimly lit cave and saw nothing. Then I realized that it was my stomach rumbling that made the noise. I haven't eaten anything the entire day and I was tired from having been chased by the dinosaur like beast.
I was able to search around the cave because of my [Night Vision] skill which I obtained earlier. There was really nothing to look at except rocks and holes in the ground. The holes were about 3 feet wide and seemed to go down deep into the earth because I couldn't see the bottom.
'Hmm... it must be an animal that can dig deep... maybe a mole or something?'
I searched around the cave for something to eat but with my bad luck so far I wasn't able to find anything.
I was standing next to one of the holes and I suddenly had a bad feeling.
I quickly jumped away from the hole was a snake like beast burst out from it and was wildly thrashing around. I got a better look at it and saw that it was some type of worm. A big worm. It looked to have a diameter of about 2 and a half feet and had a mouth on one end of its body. It's mouth was filled with razor sharp teeth which I'm sure would have been able to rip me apart. I noticed that it had no eyes, so I assumed that it was blind.
'Hehe... food.... Good thing my instinct helped me get away from it.'
I was practically salivating from the anticipation of having something to eat.
I was almost out of mana for my mana strengthening so I had to end this quickly. I pounced on the large worm creature and bit it at the base of it's neck area below the mouth. It made a strange shrieking noise and was able to pick me up and slam me into the ground.
I was surprised at its strength for being able to pick something as heavy as me. The slam to the ground wasn't very painful because of my mana strengthening so I ignored it and continued to chew my way into the worm. After about a minute of struggling I was able to bite off about 3/4ths of its neck area and it stopped resisting and collapsed.
I exhaustingly( is this a word?) dragged the rest of the worm out of the hole. I was a bit surprised to find that it was longer than 20 feet. Turns out that it didn't have any bones inside of it which made it easier to eat. The worm kinda tasted like octopus or squid, probably because it didn't have any bones.
I gained 3 levels for killing the worm.
'Dang... I forgot to distribute my stat points... that probably would have helped in getting away from the dinosaur.'
I also gained a lot of stats in strength, stamina, endurance and agility because of my 'adventure' today.
'Seriously, the gravity here is a real pain in the ass. I feel like I could be crushed any moment if I don't concentrate.'
With a full stomach I lay down and fall into oblivion.
Day 33
I woke up this morning and felt pretty refreshed. The gravity didn't seem as heavy as before. Before I began exploring the cave I decided to distribute my stat points before I get into deeper shit than I am currently in right now.
Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
I currently had 145 stat points to distribute because of yesterday's 3 level ups. I put in 45 in instinct because I'm sure it will help me on later. 50 in agility, in case I get chased by that mother fucking lizard again. 25 in wisdom, because I need more mana to keep my mana strengthening for longer periods of time. And lastly I put 25 in stamina. (no status window because I am lazy :P)
I explored more of the cave. I went in deeper and there were numerously more holes in the ground that I had to avoid. The holes also gradually grew larger the farther I traveled.
I came across another worm that came up which I was able to kill with less difficulty that yesterday. After eating about half of it I went deeper into the cave.
I saw a strange rock embedded in the wall and decided to take a closer look at it. The strange rock was the darkest black color that I have ever seen. It looked like the more I stared into it, that it would suck out my soul.
I dug out the rock and inspected it more. I felt a strange aura of darkness surrounding it. It was about the size of an average adult male's fist.
You have learned [Identify]
This skill lets you identify objects and you can get a basic description of the item or animal. (no mana) [/center
So I used [Identify] on the rock
Darkness Mana Stone
This stone holds the affinity of darkness and if used correctly can improve the effects of darkness spells.
