I woke up today with determination. I vowed to get out of this maze like cave.

My stomach growled so I searched for another worm beast. I still have trouble walking around this place without my mana strengthening but at least that skill is leveling up.

The ground shook underneath me and a worm beast popped up out of the ground. This one was different from the other ones that I have encountered so far. It had two heads instead of one. One of its mouths dripped of acidic saliva that made a hissing noise as it hit the ground.

The head on the right spit the acid towards me. I didn't expect that and moved sluggishly but was unable to completely dodge it.

The spit came on contact with my left shoulder. It burned my skin through my fur and I howled in pain. Luckily because of mana strengthening it didn't completely burn through my skin. I could hear the sizzling, but I ignored it and quickly dodged as the left head struck at me.

I was able to grab the back of the left head with my mouth and jumped backwards pulling the worm out of the hole. It began wiggling and squirming and the head on the right began to randomly spit its acid all around the place. I bit off the head on the left first and then moved onto the right head.

It was a bit tricky because I had to avoid all of the acid but I was eventually able to finish it and have breakfast.

I checked my wounds and saw that my fur wouldn't be growing back for a while. I was pretty upset. The bald spot was really unattractive and I was kinda pissed.

I walked around the cave some more searching for a way out. The ground began shaking underneath me again and I prepared for another worm.

To my surprise what popped up was a mole like creature (imagine the mole earth bender thingy from avatar). It began sniffing its surroundings smelling for danger. It came close to me and I was about to lash out at it but it just sniffed at me curiously, probably because it has never smelled a creature like ma before and began licking me.

Its tongue was very slimy and covered with saliva. At first I resisted its slobbering tongue but then it began to feel good. The burning sensation on my right shoulder area from the worm went away as its spit covered it. The burn marks also disappeared.

After a while it probably realized that I wasn't food and went about its own away digging. I got a closer look at it and saw that it was blind. It also had a very keen sense of smell and was immensely strong. It had huge paws with large claws which enabled it to dig very quickly and travel under the earth. It was about 10 feet tall and I think it was at least 2000 lbs and had most of the characteristics of a mole.

I decided to follow it because it might help me get out of here.

After following it for a while it led me to a large area with some plants. It began eating them hungrily. I sniffed the plants and decided to try some.

Sometimes I don't think. I forgot that I was a carnivore... so it tasted like crap.

After it had its fill it dug a small hole and lied down in it. I was kind of lonely and wanted someone to be around with so I snuggled up with the giant mole and slept next to it.

Day 35

I was being crushed. The damn mole was suffocating me with its immense weight. Somehow while I was sleeping it was able to get on top of me and I was in this horrible situation.

Activiating my mana strengthening, I was able to push it off of me which woke it up and it began to sniff around. It sniffed me some more and licked me a bit then walked away.

I still had hopes that it would somehow lead me back to the surface so I followed it.

After about an hour of traveling without running into any worms for some reason we came across 2 more moles. These moles were twice the size of the mole that I was following and I nearly crapped myself.

Apparently my mole was merely a child. I was kind of intimidated as the parent moles came closer to sniff me. After they decided that I was no threat they grunted or something and began to dig around.

I just observed what they were doing but they all went in separate directions so I decided to follow "Mini" who I named because he/she I don't know was the smallest.

It was a very uneventful day because we didn't come across any worms and Mini just searched for food all day which was pretty boring.

After evolving I found out that I could go a certain amount of time without food which was definitely useful in this situation.

Mini was digging and she came across a shiny rock. She picked it up and found her way back to her parents. I used [Identify] on the rock and the description said that it was a lightning stone.

I'm pretty sure that I would gain an affinity if I swallowed it like I did with the dark stone but I still have no idea what affinities do. Mini led me to her "home" I think. It was definitely huge and it had all kinds of precious jewels and metals.

I guess theses species like shiny things so they hoard a lot of precious jewels that humans would kill for. Hell there was probably enough to get America out of debt by my estimate. There were raw, uncut diamonds, emeralds, rubies, humongous gold nuggets and etc.

I was amazed by the amount of treasure that they have stored here that I didn't notice the 5 adult moles come up behind me.
