Chapter two

So there's nothing here in this room and I go look at the Rock and I noticed something little marks and after the little marks in the book I'm all in for little Mark so grab my little brush out that I brought I brought like I can't to go like Excavating in old school way like as an archaeologist but just not like a dick so I had a brush and some gloves and just something in case I found something that I didn't want to touch with my hands.

But what I did notice was some people have written their names on the walls in there and I recognize from the people's names that wrote it on the wall of the bar so to be a part of this I wrote my name I have a little Hammer I brought and a little spade so I just carved Jeremy and sat on the rock and that's when everything went to s***.

The key was in my pocket The Rock was to freaking Keyhole the moment I sat down on the rock I guess it didn't notice it the first time but I sure as hell did the second time because against one of the far walls there was just an area of Black Rock but I mean matte black like it did not look right I'm shining my light on it and it was doing nothing when I stood up the archway the area like it was it was a doorway but there was no outline it was just a black area it disappeared it went back to being a normal Rock so my family crest so here's some background that no one knows.

Because I was raised in Canada I didn't have 100% strong background roots with Scotland never been in my life but maybe it's something that's part of a human nature even I have a family crest for my generation on and the easiest way to describe it is using cattle brand nomenclature calling it crazy running rocking h if you look that up and you understand it thank you.

So I took the Chisel and waiting for the rock I just put my little symbol.

So now that I've got a clue my tech brain kicks in and by that I mean I am tech support or I was when my dad died I kind of lost it a bit and yeah this is kind of me getting back to normal I don't ask it's super weird I'm I'm the crazy one of the family I'm the black sheep so I kneeling for the stone pull out the key because well yeah I realize I've got something in my pocket and as soon as the key goes towards the stone the stone actually changes shape in one spot and I'll Keyhole that fits and trust me when you see this key there's nine blades on it and they almost cross over each other there's almost no way to do this but then when you look at this shape that it's made it's very mathematical almost looking when you look at what it makes in the end it's almost like take the key and shine a light through it and it puts a shadow on the wall of a geometric shape.

So So I gently put the key in and then look back and see that the doorway is there again but this time the Blackness actually shows an archway but it's still black so that's super weird and as I turn the key the archway becomes real and the door that's there becomes a freaking door but it's Stone and as I turn the key it goes wide it's like the whole side of the wall like 10 ft of distance along the side opens up and pushes inwards I could fit a vehicle through this.

I undo like I turn the key back and what happens is the door shrinks back to like a human size with closes and as I pull the key out the black Arch disappears goes back to being black and then that Blackness disappears so I'm pretty freaked out right now thinking I'm hallucinating.

So I pack everything up thinking I'm basically having a drug-induced panic attack realize get the f*** out if I'm having a drug attack get the f*** out get the f*** out get the f*** out that's all I can hear in my brain get the f*** out like I don't want to die so I bail going okay this is what happened all the people in my family came here they sniff the gas and they lost your s*** okay okay let's go let's go let's go so I f*** off and I mean I bail quick but I bring everything I had I didn't bring much into the cave but I get down to the bottom and right where the guy dropped me off I I just mentally make a note of where this is so I know where to start again and I start walking and walk all the way back to town it takes me hours but as I get back to town one of the people in town sees me and disappears into a house.

Next thing I know the goat farmer that took me up the mountain comes racing on down in his little vehicle to come catch up to me being told by someone that I had come down I guess he was going to come and get me after a while but I kind of know yeah ran So as people come out of their houses and he's coming down the road they all kind of come out and ask what's going on cuz I look crazy I look like I just lost my s*** to make a long story short they bring me into all the houses and tell me to warm up because I'm just chilled to the Bone freaked out and I won't tell anybody what's going on I just well one of the kids comes up and goes did you see a monster up there and then that kind of took me out of it and I look at them all and go no but I think I got some gas and I sniffed it and now I'm seeing s*** can someone please get me warm.

That was the smartest thing I could have ever said because to everybody's knowledge that's exactly what's been going on and my family's been going up there to sniff the fumes for years but no one can I put two to two together well I get taken back to my hotel and I even have the local doctor check up on me and they are like no no your blood pressure is normal you look okay your pupils aren't dilated or they're not abnormal you're going to be okay just get some sleep I hear some Tylenol.

I did exactly what the doctor said I passed out I was so freaked out I didn't know what to say I didn't tell anybody about the stuff in my pockets or any of that I just I just passed out but what happened next was waking up to a knock on my door the next morning but it was kind of like 10:00 in the morning and I didn't even knew I slept that long so I really did think I had gas attack.

While at my door there was the Bell hop with two pieces of paper messages have been left for me and they asked to have them delivered around 10:00 so wake up call.

One was from the pub wanted to know if I was okay because I guess I will I Might have made an impression on one of the waitresses and the other was from the mayor asking me to drop in and check in with him.

City Hall was only one block away from my hotel so I walked over there and as I did I saw an older man drinking a coffee and eating a pastry on the steps to City Hall.

He looked up and waved because I guess he knew me but I didn't know that he was the mayor I had been waiting for me and had been given my

description by the town.

He asked, "Are you all right there, son?" I just shook my head yes and he asked me what happened.

I went up into the cave and I found the place where everybody's been carving their names just like in the pub and then after that I smelt something funny and I start seeing stuff. I got the hell out of there and yeah I'm not too sure what to do. I don't want to get sick so I need to get some tests done if that's okay with you guys cuz well what the hell cuz I don't want any of my kids going up there and getting sick if they send them here for this but what the hell.

The mayor, being an awesome human being, knew exactly what to do and walked me another only two blocks away to a building bang down the window a security guard came he waved security guard let us in and he asked the security guard to go get the boss what I didn't know and I didn't see the sign outside just as we were walking in was this was the Scotland research facility for all of Scotland it was their local office so he literally just said hey give this guy some sample containers if he goes back up "you're going back up right" "yeah I'm going back up there mayor."

"Yeah, he's the representative that inherited the old cave up the hill the one that someone comes once a generation to come look at he had gas attack up there he says and we wanted to take some samples so give him a gas mask and we'll have him go take some quick samples from the water and stuff with that and then charge the mayor's office for the processing just get it done okay."

"That's your man we can do that come with me my name is Bob."

Bob and I didn't went over to an area grabbed a bag and filled it up with a whole rack of different types of bottles we went over to a desk and he had these cool little stickers that he just pulled off and put on to the different bottles saying water soil different things but they were super easy because then I know what to put in them so what he taught me to do is to write down where I took them in the cave or around the cave and if I felt anything funy to get the hell out of there but this time he was going to ask the mayor a question?
