I told everybody to get into the car after they had gotten Tim settled at the hotel, and they asked me, "It's like 5:00 at night," and I went, "Yep, yep, we're going to go get you some food right now, and then we're going to go for a quick drive and come back." And we did that. We went to the pub, grabbed some food, ate, and they asked us what we're doing here, and I said, "To see the diamond," and I told them it's still in the wall. We have to go show it to him, and he understood. So what no one realized was as we were leaving, I said, "Yeah, you guys have to drive. I can't drive," and they're like, "What do you mean you can't drive?" So Mike takes the wheel and notices instantly there's a burn, and I went, "Because of the burn," and Bob just gets it. I was like, "That's okay, Mike, you drive." Mike gets it and goes, "Okay, got it. Jeremy's in the front, Bob's in the back with Tim, and Smitty in the middle." As we're driving, we all know Tim's a smoker and he wants to pull it out bad, and I roll down the window and I said, "Yeah, I got a smoking car, and y'all go for it. Have a smoke." And he goes to pull a smoke, puts it in his mouth, and I'm like, "Hold on," and I take my seat belt off while he's driving, kind of spin around, and I put my finger like a finger gun under his smoke and light his cigarette with my finger fire. Then I take my finger and put it back, smile at him, and sit back down, put my seat belt back on. I said, "You can pull over whenever you want, Bob." Bob makes sure there's nothing around when he pulls over.
When Bob pulled over, we all got out, but I rolled down my window and made sure that we had the radio going in the car. I even turned it up a little bit before I left. They all looked at me like I was weird, so I walked off the road just about 10, 20 feet into just some random field, no offense, just there. The brush and grass didn't come past my knees. As they all kind of had a moment and they all looked at me, I just ignored them and focused, and I went from 100% focused on non-emotions to just emotional. And as the song changed as I was going to the car, it was a song I really liked. It was "Sweet Dreams," and I just fell into a trance for a couple of seconds. But during that time, the boys told me I did was walking to the field and started to swing back and forth. After a couple of seconds, my hands, all my fingers, just the nails lit up, and they were just floating flames on my nails. Then my hand started to move, and it was like magic lights going through. They just watched, and I don't remember any of this. It's like something takes over when the magic really deeply kicks in, and I miss it. I don't know why, but I miss it so much. It's like we've been missing this so long that we didn't know what we were missing, and then we got it back, and I don't know what to do. Am I going to die from this? Bitches in the past and then die, but what is this? Why is this magic? I'm crying my ass off just doing this in the field, and then one of them goes and turns off the song, and then I just kind of break out of it, and then I'm just kind of standing there crying in this field.
Tim is already freaked right the hell out because he's a man of science and law, and this breaks a couple of those laws, so all we could do was look at him and go, "What do we do next?" And I haven't even got to the Cave Part, so Tim just took control of the situation, which is what Tim does when he's stressed. That's why we love him so much. He just pulled out his phone, made one call, and then hung up, and the words he said, "I'm declaring a Delta 55 Echo 5 on my location contamination for protocol." And he just said, after he hung up, "Let's not move."
The phone rang, and Tim picked it up. All we could hear is his side of it, so this is what he said, "Service number case 31565-554 on vacation with family, came across hallucinogenic effects, multiple people seeing same effect though near this town, request blood test and quarantine until specified."
We were only about 15 minutes from town at most, maybe 10:00, and the moment Tim said that name, he had to say, "No, sir, I repeat, the name of the town is," and as he said the name, instantly the air raid sirens started blaring in town. There was a conversation on the phone, and then Tim hung up. They said to go into town, and there would be a representative meeting in the Town Square. This is not the first time they've been called out there, and they have a protocol for this. They've never figured out what it is, and they've seen it two other times. The people lived with the special ability for a very long time before they died. There's no need to panic; they're coming out to inspect you, Jeremy.
I had no idea what to say or do other than just to kind of go with it, but as we went back into town, I made it very clear that I did not want to tell anybody about the ark, and the moment I brought that up, Tim's like, "What are you talking about?" So we filled him in on what I was given, all but the key. I never told anybody about the key. That was mine. No one gets to see that. That's me. So I told him about the little pickaxe, which I have no idea what that's for, and I told him I know how to open up the door, and I told him about my wedding, and I found this door, and when I went in, this is what happened to me, and I got hit, and I already did the test, and he's like, "Okay, let's go back to town and let's find out what's going on. Like, they've gone through this before. They said they've got a protocol for this, so it's quite late, and, well, the air raid sirens going, so we have no choice at this point to go back and explain ourselves."
What happened next was not what you would expect in a normal story. It kind of went off the rails, but I'm kind of happy it did. So as we get within like 20 ft of town, we can see there's lights on everywhere and this vehicles and people outside, and well, yeah, the whole thing is a s*** show at this point because it's like 10:00, maybe 9:00 at night, and the sirens are going off. So as we pull up to Town Square, you can barely get in. We park, and we had, well, we follow Jeremy me because I'm like, "We got to go talk to the mayor and go to turn off the f****** siren, and then we can go back to deal with this s***," and well, Tim's like, "Let me do this. Who's the mayor?"
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
So I walk him over to town hall, and there on the steps is the mayor, trying to calm everybody down, and I just look at him, and I go, "That's the mayor. Do you want me to fix this, or do you want to fix this?" He just looks at me and goes, "How are you going to fix this?"
And I looked at him and just with the most honest face I could give him, "We'll just tell the truth."
He was one of those guys, Tim, that liked it when you took care of your own s*** and didn't rely on others, but at the same time wouldn't let you do something totally stupid if he could stop you. So by this point, the mayor saw me speaking with my crew of people and came over to speak with me because what he was doing wasn't getting anybody anywhere, and they looked at each other and knew something was up. And I just said, "Found the ark. Sorry." And with that one comment, the mayor drained of all blood from his face and just went, "What? Kill the siren, and I'll explain."
The mayor just took a second, pulled out his radio, said, "Kill the siren now. That is an order from the mayor. Now. Now."
It took less than 5 seconds, and that siren had turned off. Within 15 seconds, the mayor's phone was going off, and he just said the following words into the calm and hung up:
“I'll call you back in 5 minutes. I'm getting an answer right now. Leave it off until I call you back. That's my order. Understand? Thank you. Goodbye.”
The mayor looked over at Jeremy and said, “That was the First Minister of Scotland. My boss. I'm going to have to call him back. You have 4 minutes.”
Jeremy looked at Smitty and said, "Hey, bring the car over here and roll down the windows and find a good song on the radio, okay?"
Something they all kind of laughed at later is that when Smitty was trying to find a song, all the songs were either like old-timey songs or '80s music. He was looking for something a little more modern, but what he found actually worked quite well. After about a minute, the mayor got a little upset, and he was trying to, and I just looked at him anyway, and I'm sorry, and as he found an old '80s classic that no one realized was going to work so well, we laughed how the playlists there are such good music but such of the old good music.
Nelly Furtado - Turn Off The Light
So something that not too many people knew was that I was a big softy. I just cry all the time, that kind of stuff. My friends knew if they could make me cry, it was a good day because I did a lot of stressful stuff, so I'd be pent up with emotions, and crying was just my way of dealing with that. So when I gave the thumbs up and Smitty saw me tearing up because I love the song, I just looked around, and they went, "Hey, everybody. My name is Jeremy, and I hear it. I came here to find the ark, and I seem to have found it, but I don't know if it's going to hurt anybody, so I'm going to let the government take over and make sure it doesn't hurt anybody, but I'm going to prove to you guys right now, okay?"
And with that, I just closed my eyes and started swaying side to side, and that little voice in my head that was keeping me from losing it, I just took a deep breath and relaxed. And as the song progressed, you could hear people getting really quiet because my hands are right beside me, and all of a sudden, one nail started to glow, and then another, and then another. Half that, another act to my hands were literally a light show, and I walked over to Mayor and just kind of in the air swing in front of them, and I kind of slowed down so we can see it wasn't a glove or anything. "Please look to the moment. I don't. I hope I don't want to get sick here. What is this?" And he just looked at me like, "Oh my god. What have you done?" And everybody knew I f***** up, and it was amazing and terrifying and it was magic.
So without everybody makes me freaked up be recording this, and people had turned up the radios in their cars, and I didn't even notice has the song went on. I just, I close my eyes and walked away from the mayor for a second, and then all I hear is the gas, and would they showed me after I guess my hair caught on fire, and it was like the strands of my hair brightened and lit it's not like they were on fire it was more like they were made of glow white light that was originated blue and as my motions changed my hair colour my fingernails they all changed and it was an emotional feeling and it was I never wanted to let it go and write that someone turned off the radio in my car that was the key to turn it off for everybody else and some people listen to some people did but it was enough for me to realize what was going on it stopped
Everyone was in a state of shock, unsure of what to do or say. Tim took charge, approaching the mayor with authority. "I'm taking over. I'm with the American Jag office, and he's under our custody. We've already informed your boss about what we found, and they're sending professionals to investigate. Jeremy likely knows more, and he's being forthcoming, so be respectful. His main mistake may have been not purchasing the land and living here for a year before disclosing any of this. However, if this is indeed real, then we're dealing with something extraordinary. As the mayor of a potentially magical town, you need to stay vigilant. We don't know what else might have been unleashed from that cave. Lock it down immediately. We can't risk having armed individuals roaming the town if this is some kind of hallucination."
The mayor just looked him right in the eye and basically picked up his phone hit redial and said I'm putting this town into lock-down I just watched and you're about to see it on the internet but someone playing with magic fire! yes i said magic and no im looking at it now so if im seeing it we are all infected! get people down here now and he hung up on his boss.
The next week was jeremy in a tent quarantined they brought in the cdc.
Jeremy explained every thing but the key.
