The general left.

It took the ark 74 hours to finish up. But in the end, thanks to Jeremy not knowing it, and Jeff knowing it, they stole Jeremy's dreams and got permission through Jeff from the General, using Jeff to design a dungeon in a certain fashion.

A little Euclidean geometry to screw with people, thanks to Jeremy. Now Ark had that mathematical ability to make areas that weren't bigger on the inside but definitely acted weird.

There were 42 floors, four staircase shafts, one in each corner of the cube that went straight down. There were 20 floors of residence facilities and working and living areas. The next 22 floors were all the physical dungeon. In this case, the first 10 floors were turned into mazes, obstacle courses, paintball, and shooting ranges. The last 10 were left blank for exploratory reasons and due to what Ark found while compressing the ground, stone, and sand down there.

At this point, Ark was just about done, like we're talking minutes, when a signal from outer space came in that it recognized and accepted. The message recognized it again and then read it.

Ark got on the three-way call with Jeremy and Jeff and started to let them know what he found out.

Ark: "I got an update from outer space. Remember that planet I told you about? Well, it was so far out, it tried making water, and it did. And it used up all the last of the magic it had. It's dead. I mean, like hard dead. The water it made froze instantly. So what's supposed to happen at that point is it just shuts off. I thought. Well, it sent out the signal. It's called a death signal. It really has no more in its reserve. That was its one and only shot. Because of that, every single planet in your solar system, all 30 of them, have turned on. They're all going through startup, and I can't stop it. And I don't think I want to. So I think you should tell the general.

And you can also let them know that Mercury and Venus have been put into deep hibernation mode by me when I first came online, due to the fact how close they are to your sun. So they're still there, but they're actually a bit melted by my reckoning. There hasn't been enough magic to fix them in a long time, so they're just a ball of metal. But they're still responding, so they can be fixed, but not until we get the rest of the system set up. I don't want to melt a planet, throw it right into your sun, then cause a solar flare to kill everything. That would be bad.

With that, Jeff, I took off, and I'll talk to the general, let him know what was going on.

The cool thing about the last 74 hours was that the room they were in went from just a plain Mt. cave to made out of white stone. Yes, but there was a bar, there were a couple of tables against one wall, there were now two hallways on the main room, one leading to the entrance to the first level of the dungeon, and to the other side was, well, Jeremy and Jeff both had a room off that hallway. Their room was in the room. It was a suite, a freaking suite. That was their new home. And past their doors was a kitchen area, a workout room, a bathroom, and there were also bathrooms in their rooms too. This was like a little apartment block for the two of them, and maybe one or two more people. Jeremy and Jeff kind of talked at one point, and I guess I could listen, about them doing a dungeon group of five, six, or seven, or eight.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

But the weird part about it, even the beds were made of stone, the chairs were made of stone, the desks were made of stone. It was all made of stone. It was very weird to see like high accuracy carvings on soft stone. It was beautiful, just looked so alien just because of how it was done, beautiful but odd.

When it was done, Jeff and Jeremy left to go get their stuff. Well, they had kind of hung around for a couple of days and needed a shower, and the plumbing in the Ark wasn't really there yet. There was cold water on demand, but not hot. So for now, there was a little bit more they had to do, and food in the nap was definitely needed.

Ark and the general were having a private conversation in a sub room.

Ark: "General, you wish to see me? How can I help you, sir?"

General: "Ah, Ark, perfect. Do you have any new updates on Jupiter? One of our scientists let me know if something, and I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but let me know. Jupiter is coming into alignment shortly. Does that have anything to do with what's going on?"

Ark piped in quickly and said: "It means absolutely nothing unless we wanted to, sir. It could be used as a way of giving Jupiter another bolt of electricity, lightning, but other than that, at this point, that's all I could do with that type of alignment. So, not that really useful."

General: "So, if you were to send another blast of energy to Jupiter, what would be the benefits of doing that?"

Ark: "What that would do is give that golf tee, that Arc, more power to do its job and also have a longer battery life. But I'm not too sure how much would actually get to there from here because I'd be sending basically a core magic, and there's dark matter in the way. Magic and dark matter are what cancel each other out. Now, don't get me wrong, we've done it once, but that first pulse didn't turn on any of the other planets. So it wasn't until the death signal went out that they came on. So something's a little odd here, and I'm not too sure if I trust any of the sites until I take a look at them myself, and until they're back on, I really wish I had talked to them before we lost connection and went back to zero."

The General: "Is there any side effects to doing this, any downside to trying?"

Ark: "I can see two possible bad outcomes come from this. One, we turn Jupiter on fully and give it full power, and it's got a copy like me that is very upset, unhappy, and has no one around, just searching for whatever it wants. We can probably fix that if need be, but I don't like that idea. The one that's really got me a little freaked out is, what if I can't shunt all the power into outer space? I don't care where I shoot it. I mean, just up, even a little bit goes down and starts a pilot light. So, kind of thinking that might be a bad idea. We could try, but I wouldn't want to use Jeremy, maybe Jeff, but definitely not Jeremy. Jeremy's... glowing at this point."

The General: "That was something else I want to ask, what the hell happened? And why is he juiced so hard?"

Ark: "Oh, that's simple. Your bodies, when you get hit with the first blast of real pure magic, absorb it. At first, you fight it, and your body gets sick and nauseous, and everything that you've known goes out the window because your brain that now says I should feel good or I should feel bad is now making your body feel good or bad, and you have to fight it. The second time Jeremy got hit, his body was already slightly juiced, awake, and ready for it. It just didn't suck it in; it made love to the magic, and Jeremy is now a magical idiot. Well, every village needs one; he's ours."

Ark said this with a grin in his voice.

The General just mentally waved Ark away and said, "Thank you very much, I'm done for today. I'll call you if I need you. Have a great day."
