OPENING OF CHAPTER 4 RECAP

Where are we? Well... I just told my best friend and Mandy Inkwell, the town reporter that I believe in dragons just moments after I almost blurted out that Noah is in fact alive!

ALMOST!!?

It was when Key told her to taste the cocoa, and Noah's mouth didn't open, and then it spilled on her eyes, and I was tensing up... I MEAN! Like...

That was okay right? Like I can totally pretend that Noah isn't real until she gives Key a hug, laughs and tells her something like, "It's alright, I'm indestructible and just some plant monster anyways who likes to pretend to be Sammy's imaginary sister."

***

Bang!

A woolen snowball just hit me!

SO... No. We don't not actually use regular crystallized water snowballs. Like seriously... What snow? December snow is a MYTH from from Northern Hollywood!!!

Anyways, what we are using is those wool dryer balls. See, after awhile they get really soft and don't actually work that good as fluffer uppers and well...

The town comes together and we all have a woolen snowball fights. I mean, it's pretty cool but...

WACK!

"Randy!" I shouted as some fairy crystals flew off of my uncles forehead and... Wait..! "Where'd you get actual snow!??"

"Yeah!" Randy shook his head as he smiled and told me, "Ryan hit me with real snow and it's like, how'd he get real snow huh? And like, I mean..."

Anyways... After Mandy and Ryan laughed at Randy's wet dog impression, Ryan gave him a hug and said, "Welcome to Noel."

"Welcome?" Randy started to mutter, "What's that mean? Because like I think it that means that you like me being here, and Amy says that you actually do like me as a person but I don't understand. And like she told me that the whole town will even like me but that doesn't make any sense, so anyways. Thank you."

ANYWAYS!

"You were right Sunny!" My uncle and Felix wiggled the rest of the snow off and exclaimed, "I love it here!"

Well, there I was, my uncle was so happy, and really, I could not help staring at Sammy's snow white fairy crystal gown that carefully did not have hot cocoa stains!

Nope, they smartly gave Joy their mug of before they collapsed on the ground so that Key could listen to the story.

"See Key," Joy proved that the Gaian story of an interconnected spider web in is NOT just something that Mom didn't tell me about when he told Key that, "natural snow does flicker with every little particle, they all break up and spread the fairy glitter all around."

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

"Yeah, and that is SO cool!" Sammy smiled as they took back their cocoa and Key blew some snow particles over their dress.

"Like real fairy glitter?" I asked, while I wondered what Key was actually doing!

"Oh, she's just counting." Noah told me, "She's pretty good,"

Key looked at the (invisible snow) in Sammy's dress, said "7", and blew at the sparkles.

"So how close were you?" Her Mom Kiera came over and asked her how close she actually was.

"... 29..." Key looked at the air where the snow particles had fallen.

"Oh well." Kiera sipped her coffee, and then petted a dragon sculpture and told her, "Oh! That was so close!"

So... I just imagined something, Like Uncle Randy has speaking problems or something like he told me that sometimes his words get mixed up... And like, Key's has a hard time talking, and like... Key gets lots of love and support and Mom told me that Randy didn't when he was a kid and...

"WOW!" I deflected that possibly confusing sadness by telling Key that, "You can count really good."

Key... Stared blankly at me, See! Auntie Missy has been helping me understand different kinds of kids better and I'm trying to use "strengths" or something positive that I see and...

WAIT! I must have done better than last time because she not only looked at me, but 'Was that a smile???'

So yeah, She looked at me and I... Got a feeling and shouted out a tongue twister, "Fairy fantastic fairy dust!"

Key looked at me again and then started to play with the tassels hanging off of Sammy's gloves.

"Hmm..." Joy stared to tell his niece Key, "My legend of the dragons says that the hot breath of dragons remelt the frozen patches so that we can use the water to make even more snowballs... I don't know!"

Sammy laughed and told Key, "Yeah, just like the Zodiac gods and all the holiday decorations that Momma Kiera makes with you."

Zodiac costumes????

"Really?" Why do I care? Well that's Uncle Randy's book right? Zodiac! And like... I'm even pretty sure that he even hinted at a DRAGON.

And Chinese zodiac has a dragon too right?

Well anyways, he tries to put real Gaian symbols in the stories ever since he and Missy and me went on an adventure with spider cats and unicorns and that's when I got to spend time with Mom and everything is awesome and I also have a real Aunt now!

"Yeah." Sam came over and told Key, "And we have a special dress up party every month, don't we."

"She makes costumes." Joy said proudly about his special friend Sammy and then Kiera dopped her coffee mug onto the ground.

"Yeah!" Kiera picked up her baby, "And we dress up as holiday faerie's just like your Mom Emerald don't we!"

Fairies??? Wait! "I like to dress up as a fairy too!"

Now... For this next part I don't actually know if I said these things or just imagined expressing my love for Sam's style... But!

"And not only that, but here I am, standing in front of like one of the best made dresses I've seen!"

I took that moment to look at my momentary costume making idol Sammy who kept smiling at me so I naturally told her, "It's sparkling so beautifully!"

"It's made out of that material right?" Kiera muttered so... Yeah, I guess I really did spill my guts! "That stuff may as well be liquid."

Liquid material??? What?

I'm looking at Dad through the window, he'd know. Yeah, he'd tell me something with doubt like, "Yeah, it's possible, but..." Or maybe he'd explain to me exactly what liquid cloth is!

Honestly, I'm really hoping for the second one because I think it's kinda extremely rude to ask Sammy if I can "feel" that "Liquid" material..?
