Chapter 11: Cheshire and the... Dust bunny rainbow prism treasure!
Gasp! There's sawdust! Someone has been here!
I'm Sunny Luna Crumpet and all that sawdust makes me think that somewhere around here is a top secret Christmas workshop hidden right under my nose!
ANYWAYS!
So I just learned that... There are tunnels under and around town..!
"So Mom and Dad..." I looked at them and demanded an answer! "So like, the dragon festival is like when Santa Clause delivers hand made dragon ornaments to everyone right? So... Why isn't there a picture of the Christmas dragon under Noels town sign yet huh??!"
"This is just the first day Honey..." Mom insisted, "See, Mandy plans on putting together a really big short movie this afternoon."
"Okay..." I muttered and... Yeah, that makes perfect sense... And if I had actually kept track of social media like I tell everyone I would have probably have already known that, huh?
Anyways!!!
"The dragons! Like..!" They totally ignored me by putting starting to open the suitcases... Anyways, "You are going to show me the Christmas dragon this year aren't you?"
"Of course baby!" Mom gestured loudly as she added, "And maybe? Just maybe? You can even show Narrie."

Basically me.... 'WHAT?!!?!?!?'
I did NOT say that though, nope! What I did was I smiled and calmed myself down by counting, 1: I can tell Narrie? What?
2: I took a really deep breath and thought... 'Is that really what Mom just said?'
Yup!
That's about the time I lost my patience and went into the living-room and..!
Wait..! She really did tell me that I can show Narrie the Christmas dragon didn't she!!!

That's about the time when I heard a squeak, and guess what?
I just saw what was probably just a mouse, but..! It might have actually been a spider kitten!
So... A few days ago when I told the catnis's that I was going back home? I think that some of them actually wanted to come with me!
Like what I mean is that they jumped into my suitcase and attempted to smuggle themselves onto a plane!
Well... That's when I realized that I needed to really try to explain to a bunch of meowing spiders that if they come with me, There is a really high chance tat they never see their family again...
EVER!

Anyways... I just woke up and see?
I looked out the window and imagined seeing that big crazyquilt of a mountaincat while she led a bunch a orphaned critters through the woods, then stopped to look at me and they all MEOWED!
See! Aranid and Calico take in all of these orphaned creatures and teach them how to meow!

Calico is SO proud of them all, and well... And what I'm trying to explain to you is that the Cheshire kitty that actually did come with us is actually one of her real kittens that survived when Aranid saved her with the spirit root!
And... I really really hope that he helps me take a really really cool picture of finding a pot of treasure at the end of a prism! But...
SIGH!
If he doesn't, that's all right, I can just prop up some dusty old sockings beside one of the afternoon prisms!

Yup, and then I'll set up a photo-op and pretend that it's just a really big dust bunny looking for the treasure end of the rainbow so I can compete with Narrie for the most likes!
"Meow, Nyowl." A shadow just came closer to me and...
GASP!
"So umm..." By the way, that squeaky meow was NOT a katniss. But that doesn't mean I didn't take lots of pictures!)
Anyways we keep the barn open for winter strays and well..! I don't actually remember this one's name, "Sweetie, did I actually ever name you," I petted their brown spotted ear and said, "Your name's little turtle? Anyways..!

"Meow?" They just stared at me, so I put my paws forward and tried to contain my excitement by sitting down on the rug and told them, "I'm gonna stay for a whole week!"
They purred, so I whispered in their ear, "Maybe more."

"Well anyways... Pumpkin your name." I picked myself up and looked at the orange and brown stripped kitty that might actually be from Gaia because they travel between worlds all the time and while they sniffed my cat nip oiled hands, I asked..!
"Have you met Gray?" I asked Pumpkin, "Uncle Randy brought her and she's really strong, and pretty nice... Ish. She's the very proud and kinda demanding kitty that does apparently bite when some threatens her... But she didn't get enough milk as a baby or something."
In our windows Mom keeps a bunch of prisms and when I them my shaggy pumpkin kitty followed them the living room like a laser pointer! So I took out my phone and said, "Well, lets get some treasure in front of you and then we'll make a great shot that'll win the contest for sure!"

"I love you." I told Pumpkin and let them go.
But...
"Meow!"
"It's a mystery!" I said when I heard someone else scratching at the door! So... "What is that sound?!?"
"Meow." I heard again. "Scratch scratch."
I heard the sound coming from the closet, but when I went to open the closet door, instead of finding another stray cat, I found a really dirty stray..!

So basically, what I'm saying now is that I need to make a little video of this mystery in the dark closet!

So I set my camera to video, pressed record and started talking, "And now, we are going to enter the dust bunny world!"
I recorded a clip as I pretended to make the dusty socking bunnies crawl into one of Mom's magical prism windows to Gaia!
That's when I actually looked around the not actually very dusty house and thought about how Cheshire told me that he was going to come here for the dragon festival to, "Spread his wings."
Okay, Cheshire does not actually have wings, but... He does seem to appear out of thin air!
("POOF!")
But then again his dads a spider magician so...
"Hey Cheshire!!!" I looked around the closet and called, "You in there? It's cool if you didn't come after all..."
Well anyways... SIGH! I gave up looking around the cluttered closet and right now I'm going to be heading upstairs to my room in about 5. 4. 3. 2.
WAIT!
I just saw a dusty bunny toy move... So I actually turned on the closet light and saw...
Nothing at all..!
"Well..!" I shouted out loud, "Then how did it move?"
RASPBERRY!!!
Anyways, I just noticed an old mouse hole in the wall and... I must be even tireder than I thought because I'm starting to imagine going inside of it like Alice's Wonderland!
Yawn..!
Well..! Now that I know for near certainty what's wrong with me..!
Basically? I should probably be resting in front of some video games on my phone when the sugar crash completely takes hold of me..!
So there I was, heading back through the house to get it when I started to look at the house plants that should be dead by now and started to wonder...
"Umm..!" I looked at the not dead plants on the windowsill in the kitchen and said, "There like supposed to be dehydrated right?"
"Yeah." Dad looked at me like I'm supposed to put this puzzle together so...
"But they look really great!" I even felt the dirt in the pots as he shook his head and started cooking something "Dad, like... The holiday flowers are actually flowering!"
"Un hun." Dad smiled as I heard a crinkle.
"Youth know..." I heard that strange, but very familiar voice coming from the cupboard..?
And then..! Right about the time I gave up looking for the correct one, Cheshire opened his mouth and shouted, "I was SHOE-PRIZED!"
By the way, Cheshire sometimes gets a few words mixed around. But I fully understand, I mean, we don't even speak the same language that they do in Gaia!
Well anyways, there I was, picking up my 3 tailed cat to cradle him like a kitten, then I sat down on the couch and listened to him purr and closed my eyes and...

Okay, so here's this thing that I've like kept a secret from you guys for like ever! And that is... Sometimes I'm so afraid that Gaia and magic and ghosts and dragons and Santa clause and stories are just that.
Make believe...
Like how uncle Randy told me that he thought that Mom's stories were just that... That they were all make believe until I, YES I accidentally got conned into making him believe a few months ago...
Still... It bugs me because if my super mature comic book writing uncle thought it was just a dream, What if it is? Like... What if I'm just dreaming all this stuff huh?
Well it doesn't matter because there ARE caves in the mountains by our house.
And Cheshire, the kitty who I am petting on my lap at this very moment does in fact have 3 tails.
And he does in fact talk.
And like... I can feel your vitals right?

Well, he's breathing, so unless Mom and Dad are playing an extremely elaborate prank on me... I don't think they are though, because Dad just picked up that dusty old cat toy I was playing with earlier and asked..!
"Hey Sunny," Dad smiled at us, and asked me, "wanna get some of those clouds out of your eyes and let me help you make a cool movie of this here dust bunny getting some treasure at the end of the rainbow that's coming in the afternoon sun?"
Something I should tell you about Dad, He's a "stop motion geek."
Now... I'm not...
I like comics. And honestly, even if there is no real magic, I'm still gonna be a comicker like uncle Randy!
