I feel a surge of power rushing through my body as I step inside, signifying that my aura has awakened .
I look around at the rest of the group to see that they experience a similar feeling.
“Holy shit! This is so fucking cool!” Tessa exclaims.
She quickly rushes to the podium like a child on Christmas day.
I look around and the others begin walking towards a podium. I decided to do the same and take the one furthest to the left. Lyra takes the one right beside me and the two siblings stood next to Aaron.
When I tap the podium, a search bar appears along with a keyboard.
This seems so damned familiar. I started thinking of what I wanted to grab.
Since I already had an unlimited supply of weapons, I wouldn’t need something like a dagger.
I glance over to my right to see Lyra typing away. She types out her words incredibly fast, finishing her search quickly. She smiles at the image of a long black rifle that appears in front of the podium. She reaches out to touch it and it forms into a solid option.

A female metallic voice rings out. Lyra’s body began emitting a black light together with the rifle.
That would be the sign of the geas syncing, which happens when a person chooses a geas. That geas will bond with that person, reacting to their thoughts, and will be unable to be used by anybody else.
Lyra holds the rifle in a triumphant pose.
On a side note, any geas usage within this space is impossible due to a magic barrier around the space.
Lyra looks at me with a wide smile and shows me the rifle, “I got the thing, Raine!”
I nod with a small smile, “Yeah, that’s good.”
Instead of leaving the room immediately, she decides to stand beside me and look over my shoulder.
Since I had no use for a weapon, I decided to get another useful item.
‘Beez’s Infinity Coat’, is an indestructible white long coat with infinite pocket space. It grows with the user, so It would adapt to my body size.

I reach out to grab the coat and put it on. As I slip it on, I start glowing white, signifying the geas syncing. The search bar on the podium disappears for each group member after we choose a geas.
“Wow.” Lyra looks over with a surprised expression, “I didn’t expect you to pick an item of clothing.”
“Yeah.” I nod, “I kind of have the weapon situation handled.”
She tilts her head in confusion, but I shrug it off since it would be too difficult to explain. I turn to look at everyone else who have chosen their geas without any issue.
Tessa chose a pair of red spiked knuckles, Reginald a set of pitch black hook swords, Nathan a fauchard spear, and Nerah a double-bladed glaive.
Sylvia had selected a long black wand, Nyx a golden and silver bow, and Jackson a large metal staff.
Finally, Aaron had decided on a long, black katana with a straight edge. He holds it above his head to get a better look at it.
Damn, he looks so cool.
“It seems that everyone has chosen their geas.” Lyra looks at me with a smile, “all that’s left is for you to pick your second geas.”
I nod.
I place my hand on the podium and it scans my palm.
[Royal blood detected]
A metallic female voice rings out. I am then displayed a list of items and the search bar is reopened.
For some reason, everyone starts to surround me as I leisurely glance through the choices.
“What’s he doing?” Nyx asks, tilting her head.
“It’s a privilege of the royal family. He is allowed to choose two different geas’.” Sylvia answers with a blunt tone.
“What? That’s totally unfair!” Tessa chimes in, shocked at Sylvia’s reply.
I scan through the list of items for the tool I was searching for.
I had typed in a simple description since I had forgotten the name. I only remembered the description and appearance of the geas.
I begin scrolling so quickly that most of the people watching can’t be able to keep up. I continue looking until I discover what I was looking for.

The item I was looking for is now in my grasp.
A mask that was almost the same size as my face with a red triangular-shaped visor and two filters on either side of the mouth.
The "Assassin's Face," the ultimate assassination disguise tool, can duplicate one's face, record infrared and heat signatures, and filter out hazardous gasses. In addition to all of that, it serves as binoculars and can foretell shooting angles at a distance.
Plus it looks cool.
As I put the mask over my face, it transforms into a direct copy of my own.
I nod to myself in satisfaction before taking it off and storing it within the coat. I turn around and look at the others. They nod and begin moving toward the door.
Despite spending over half an hour inside, we learn that only a few seconds actually passed when we emerged from the chamber.
“Congratulations on your picks! Now, if you ten would kindly make your way back to your seats. And remember, don’t leave the auditorium, even after everyone else has!” We all nodded in unison and began walking down the steps and back to our seats.
It ends up taking over an hour to complete the geas ceremony.
Others chose their geas’ much more slowly than we did, probably because we made our decisions based on our emotions.
Some characters from the novel who were only somewhat significant come after us, but none of them were very strong.
After a while, the ceremony finally comes to a close.
As the lights turn back on, the nobles all begin happily pouring out of the theater with their guests and their chosen geas. All but me and the other nine candidates, who were instructed to remain in place.
I turn around to see Alice and the twins waving goodbye and I return the gesture. I shift my focus to the platform where Jacob was standing.
Aside from us, everyone had left the theater.
Jacob waves his hand nonchalantly and the auditorium door closes. Lyra, who was sitting next to me, has the same confused expression as I do.
Jacob waves his hand once more and the lights turned off, with the exception of those that shone on him.
“Alright, now that the only people left are you ten, I’m going to explain the situation.” He speaks in a casual manner, contrary to how he was during the ceremony.
Everybody leans forward in their seats and pays close attention to the next words that come out of his mouth.
