CHAPTER 42: CONTRACTS AND BUILDINGS!

The Shadow Knights Guild wishes to form a rental contract between themselves and The Blossoming Terranova Guild. The contract is as follows:

* Blossoming Terranova guild will provide The Shadow Knights guild with unlimited access to a first floor Guild Hall within the GUILD TOWER of their Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station.

* The Shadow Knights Guild will provide Blossoming Terranova Guild with ten thousand credits a week.

Do you Guild Mistress of the Blossoming Terranova Guild accept this contract as stated above?

It seemed fair, and I was not using any of the rooms down on the first floor anyway, so I mentally accepted.

Congratulations! You have rented your first guild hall and received a small perk fragment, collect four of these to combine them into a small perk!

Both screens vanished, and the man bowed slightly to me before flicking something from his hud to me again.

The Shadow Knights Guild Funded company wishes to form a Contract between themselves and the Blossoming Terranova Guild MWOA254 Orbital Station. The contract is as follows:

* The Shadow Company will provide personnel to perform security at key points around the orbital station from the hangers, also referred to as the docks including the docking arms, to the prison onboard the Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station.

* The Shadow Company will provide personnel to perform Law Enforcement for the Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station.

* The Law Enforcement branch of The Shadow Company will operate as a Galactic police department onboard the Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station.

* The Law Enforcement branch of The Shadow Company will uphold galactic law onboard the Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station, insuring public and staff safety.

* The Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station will provide a Galactic Law Enforcement building known as the Police Station Headquarters to be constructed as soon as possible.

* The Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station will provide five thousand credits a week in the form of wages.

Do you Guild Mistress of the Blossoming Terranova Guild and owner of the Blossoming Terranova MWOA254 Orbital Station accept this contract as stated above?

I nodded my head slowly as I carefully read it over, coming to the conclusion all it would cost me is the resources to build a police department. In exchange, I would gain five thousand credits a week instead of ten thousand. I thought it was a good deal. I mentally accepted it, watching the screen vanish and the man bow to me again before turning and leaving.

“I will have to ask your forgiveness, my husband, he becomes a man of few words once he gets overly excited.”

I smiled and nodded politely before turning to look at the map, watching the salvage ships drag the wreckage towards the orbital station for a few minutes. I then glanced at the construction menu to see the prison was five percent complete. I then turned to look at Ashley.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“The gaming hall should be open again now that no one is trying to blow us up”

“Oh, yea!” she squealed in delight as she went to run out of the room, but she paused at the door

“Kenna, the shields protecting the hull will recover, right?”

I quickly turned to the command table to check on the protection force field and saw that the power level had moved back up to fifteen percent.

“Yes, Ashley. It is slowly recovering. I believe we will be at max shields in about twelve hours.”

“Awesome! Well, I'm off to play on the game hall.” she waved as she disappeared through the door.

“I am guessing you are waiting to ask me to construct an office building of some kind so you can set up the Galactic Federation Branch office in it?” I asked Jessica after I had turned my head to look at her.

“Indeed, I would appreciate having a galactic federation branch building to work in, perhaps you would be willing to add it to the Construction queue?”

I smiled, trying to hide the oh duh of course you can queue stuff look that I felt. I quickly turned away from Jessica and placed my hands on the command table once again. After a little navigating, I found Police Station Headquarters. It was fascinating because it Also had an info window on itself telling me this was a once off purchase for the police station. Any further police station branches needed would be funded and paid for by the Chief of Police on their own command table inside the police station headquarters chief's office. I smiled and checked to make sure I could afford its cost and resources before click build. It immediately disappeared from the list of buildings that I could purchase. I smiled happily and continued on down the list and after a few moments, I managed to find a building that looked like it would fit what Jessica wanted. It was a military outpost building, if the description was to be believed, then it was basically an office building for the military. It was used for coordinating military personnel and assets in the Solar system and on the orbital station. I turned to Jessica and asked.

“Will this building do?”

“That is the building we use, so yes, I would appreciate its purchase and construction, so I may get to work.”

I nodded my head and turned back to the table and checked I had enough resources. When I got to the price tag, I winced as I noticed that I barely had enough credits to cover it, so I purchased it and watched it disappear from the list.

“It will be constructed after the police station h.q.” I told Jessica as I closed the construction menu.

“Thank you, Kenna, while I wait, I think I will go help my husband set up our guild if you will excuse me.”

She turned and left the command office, and I let out a sigh before turning back to the map, watching the salvage ships approach the station.

“Why do I feel like chaos is raining down around me, and it's only going to get more chaotic?”

I reached into my pocket and pulled out the black game card that I had thrown in there when all this mess began, and a smile slowly spread across my face.

“Well, the salvage is being collected, all enemies have left the system, the ship to get my clan from earth is still under construction and there is a queue of buildings. I guess I am not needed for a while and can finally find out what game you unlock.”

I left my office and walked back to that golden game hall door, passing through it and into the huge hall. I noticed the first door was closed with those occupied warning words on it and Ashley's name. I felt an amused smile cross my face before I turned and walked over to the second door, passing into the room and moving around the arm to the flat panel and held up my card to it.

“Here goes nothing, show me what you got!” I declared as I slid the card into its slot.
