I glared at the command table after the call had ended as I pushed that dumb pause button to get the hologram working again.
“Stupid advanced technology, and no one includes a stupid manual or a stupid video tutorial on how to use it.”
I growled a little more to myself before looking down at the other waiting messages in the table. Letting out a sigh, I was a little reluctant to play them now, but I did. First was the Russian, I listened to an entire angry speech that I did not understand a word of. Next up, was the Chinese one that was all in another language. I could not understand that one either.
“I am not sure if I want to listen to the American speech that will most likely boil down to ‘give me the space station or else’ or the UN speech that I… ya know, I honestly can't think of a thing they would have to say to me.”
“You are their leader, you don't need to listen to them right now, why don't we peruse the market, you could buy that manual that you wanted.”
“Are you telling me the market had a manual for this damn table the whole time?”
“You didn't know?”
“No!”
“Oh, well it does”
“…where is it?”
“In the manual section under Command Tables. Of course.”
“Of course” I growled back as I pulled open the market table and started moving through all the tabs. But before I could get into it, I noticed that the people from England had suddenly stood up and were running along the hull back towards their rocket. They were not the only ones doing it; the UN was also making a run for their rocket.
“Well, that's peculiar” I mumbled as I watched their progress.
“What is?”
“Oh, the United Nations people are withdrawing as well, but if I think about it, it's not that surprising. I would assume the English reached out and said something to the UN, and they have decided to withdraw. However, as someone that has had no political education or brushes with that sort of power, I can’t think of what could have been said to them.” I turned back to the market screen.

“Alright, let's see what we have, there is the weapons tab. Of course, I heart guns still thrives. It has subtabs for civilian and military. Apparel tab, oh, it has a subtab too. Civilian, of course. Hmm, the military subtab is greyed out.”
“Yea, we can't let every crazy person out there have access to our military tech, you will need to claw your way into an officer's position where you have the authority to authorise the use of military equipment and supplies. After you have accomplished that you will have to sell the orbital station base to Kenna Mackenzie as a guild can not own an orbital station with military grade anything.”
“But the orbital station has a dry dock that can build carriers, for crying out loud!”
“Yea, that's why they sent those captains to set up an outpost office here so they can immediately purchase any military ships you build for the good of the blah blah you get it right? Now relax, Kenna. Buy your manual.”
“You are trying to handle me and I don't like it.”
“Ah, right, yes, I guess I am. Sorry Kenna. I'm getting a bit stressed. Dad has started sending me messages in the last hour. He wants me to start having certain conversations with you and recommend you purchase a few things, and I have been telling him where he can stick it. However, he is being rather persistent about this.”
“What do you mean, Zeo? Why would he want me to buy anything? And what conversations?”
“It's nothing really…”
Zeo let out a long sigh as she stared into my eyes, she looked like she was about to tell me, so I didn't want to push. However, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the Russians and the Chinese had begun moving back towards their rockets. Travis Johnson came running into the room a few seconds later, he looked a little worried to me as he came to a stop next to Zeo.
“Zeo, has your dad been pushing you to ask Kenna probing questions?”
“Yea… he has also sent me a list of things he wants me to try convincing Kenna to purchase, and they wouldn't help her in the short term at all. They are all things that…”
“You don't think?”
“Shit, I do! I have to go! I have to get back to my clan before…”
Zeo moved to my command table and quickly took control of the market, moving the screen until she had purchased a book called ‘celestial code of conduct’. She then reimbursed me for the purchase before turning and heading for the door. Travis quickly moved to follow her after his eyes turned away from his hud.
“I am really sorry Kenna, but if my dad is attempting to do what I think he is, then the boys and I really need to leave and get back to our clans before my dad starts moving. Otherwise, everyone is going to notice something big is going on and will begin moving to take a piece of whatever it is, that includes poking their noses into this solar system.”
Zeo paused at the door and looked back at me as she bit her lip.
“Last few pieces of advice before I go, the reason the three of us have not asked to join your guild even though we said we would, back in boot camp, is because we all outrank you as celestials and if we joined your guild we would end up taking over. Second piece of advice, we are two weeks away from uplinking to our new posts. In that week, I suggest you get your planet in order and under control so they can start providing your station with resources that you will need to grow stronger. I also recommend getting your entire clan up here onto the station so they can defend you. Build hydroponics first so you can feed everyone, then housing. Don't worry about where to place it, it's pre-arranged, that's why every station has the same layout and is easy to navigate. Get officers for your guild and turn this guild hall into a proper command post for the station. Oh, and after you have done all that, then tell those captains to hurry up and set up their offices. …uhm. Oh, our new commanding officer is meant to have an uplinked meeting with you sometime in the next seventy-two hours, make a good impression for our team, yea?”
She hurried out the door and vanished, after I gave her a nod. I let out a loud sigh and turned to look back at my command table. The holographic image of the station showed me that the Americans were the only ones still on the hull, and the rest had made it back to their rockets. I was really curious to know what had been said to get them to do that so quickly.
“Well, I guess it's time to finally call that captain back, I hope she isn't still pissed about me hanging up on her. Oh, and I should probably call dad too and organise a way to get everyone up here. That means I will need to buy and build a ship to transport everyone. Shit, so much to do and so little time!”
