Chapter 6: Sky Sanctuary
Sonic and Knuckles appear on a platform in the middle of a beautiful and expansive, ancient city in the clouds.
Sonic: Man! Now, this place is happening!
As the space-station peaks through the clouds, Knuckles sits down.
Knuck: Sonic, I do not entirely trust you. But, I am short on choices.
He reaches into the back of his dreads and pulls out the grey Chaos Emerald.
Knuck: So, take this and go. Now!
Sonic swipes the Emerald.
Sonic: Back in a flash!
Sonic dashes across the skyways of the ancient city as the station rises ever higher. Before long, several robots fly out of the station and try to shoot him.
Sonic: Crud! Can't let Robuttnik escape!
He looks around, sees an unfinished road, and he runs towards it. He then jumps off of it, lands on a bee drone, and hops to another one. As they shoot at him, they hit each-other and explode. Once he makes it past the swarm, he lands next to a tower at the edge of the city. Around it, there's a road spiraling around the building that ends in a dead end, which faces the rising station.

Sonic: Got no further options? Only One Thing To Do!
Sonic runs as fast as he can around the tower, wind rushing all around him as he sees the city and station pass his vision several times. Once at the end of the road, he doesn't hesitate to jump towards the station. He rockets towards the station for a few moments, but it's still very far away.
Sonic: I'm Gonna Make It!
He starts falling towards the sea.
Sonic: Cruuud!
As he falls, he sees Tails in the Tornado-Alpha and he grabs onto the plane while it rises.
Sonic: Alright, Tails!
Tails: Sonic! How'd You get here?
Sonic: Tell you later. Let's Stick It To The Man Himself!
Tails: Yeah!
Tails flies the plane as fast as possible until they're next to the station.
Tails: How do we get in?
Sonic looks at the grey Emerald.
Sonic: Let's see if We can make Chaos Control wo-
Just then, Sonic vanishes in a flash of light with the 4 Emeralds around him.
Tails: W-Where'd you go?
Without the Chaos Emeralds, the plane falls towards the ocean.
Tails: SONIIIIIIIC!!!
Tails attempts to fly the plane without the engine running.
