Once out of the entrance, they were immediately amazed to see a vast city with skyscrapers towering in front of them and the solid metal ceiling of this battlecarrier starship. Many flying vehicles pass between the buildings and modern-looking cars on the highway. Arlen walked towards one of the flying vehicles parked nearby, the size of a bus. Near this flying vehicle, a race of green-skinned humanoid male who have horns and are members of Nolan's crew have been waiting for them.
"Welcome captain Nolan, let me accompany you."
Nolan nodded and smiled; he then turned to the others.
"We're taking this vehicle."
They all then boarded this flying vehicle.
Inside the flying vehicle looks luxurious with beautifully carved glossy brown wooden framed sofas on the right and left sides of this vehicle's room facing each other, with a short table in the middle and a refrigerator that stores drinks and snacks. They then sat on the sofas provided while Arlen remained standing and looked around him in amazement. Nolan's crew sat in the pilot seat and started this vehicle's engine. The vehicle began to fly vertically, and once high enough, it hovered and flew towards the city.
The flying vehicles fly between the skyscrapers in this city; the beautiful night view of Ark-001 city makes them enjoy this trip while talking to each other. Arlen looked at the city view outside the vehicle window panes in amazement.
"So this is the Ark city."
The man in the cloak said.
"Seeing this city is inside a battlecarrier starship is like a miracle."
Nolan smiled.
"This is a city where residents who have no place in the universe find a place they can call home. For several years now the Lantern Pirates Alliance has been accepting citizens of various races all over the universe. Some of them were formerly slaves, refugees, nobles, etc."
Rothur turned to Nolan with a curious expression.
"How did you build something like this Nolan? I mean… cost and labors."
Nolan replied.
"About 95% of the labor is done by machines, which is not too much of a problem. But the cost? Many of the nobles caught between the wars or who lost their places because of the war wanted safety and moved or took refuge here. At first, I also could hardly believe how we got so many sources of funds."
The others looked stunned. Grimor replied.
"It seems that being a powerful person has many advantages at a time like this."
Nolan smiled.
The Ark city-001 government headquarters building.
After some time exploring the city, their flying vehicle arrived at the tallest skyscraper, with a beautiful classic modern building design. This building is the headquarters of the Ark city government and where Nolan lives in apartments that cover the top few floors of the building. This flying vehicle then parked on the parking slots in front of the wharf, which resembles a wide balcony with beautifully carved railings, on the three floors before the top floor of this skyscraper; this flying vehicle then connected to this wharf that led into the building. They got off the flying vehicle, still with stunned expressions, looking at the city view around them and the distant view below. Arlen said.
"This city is magnificent."

Nolan smiled.
"Let me take you all inside."
They walked together across this wharf, towards the skyscraper's entrance, a row of automatic glass sliding double doors. There are also waiting chairs, beautifully carved plant beds that decorate many parts of the wharf, and a beautifully carved circular fountain in the middle. They then walked into this skyscraper.
After passing through the entrance, they arrived at the guest hall of this skyscraper apartment floors part, which has a high ceiling that joins the two levels of the building and an open hallway on the right, left, and at the end of this hall. Several elevators were to the right and left of the row of automatic glass sliding doors entrances they had just passed. The guest hall's open hallway has rows of columns, sturdy glass railings with metal frames, and handrails made of glossy carved wood. There are several long sofas in several corners of the guest hall, wall lamps, and ceiling lights. At the far end of the guest hall is an entrance to a wide corridor with an open hallway above it and stairs going up on the right and left corridor entrance, leading to the upper floors. These stairs also have railings in the same style as those in the open hallway. The walls of this apartment are decorated with a kind of glossy ceramics that form beautiful patterns on the walls, as well as a large chandelier that adorns the center of the ceiling, which is decorated with lights and niche lights. They walked through this guest hall while talking to each other. Nolan said.
"We will be having an additional meeting in the room I have prepared. But if you guys are tired, you can spend the night here, and continue our business tomorrow."
Arlen smiled broadly.
"Let's continue right now, I'm still curious and impatient to know what next."
Rothur, Grimor and the man in the cloak agreed on this. They nodded and looked curious.
They walked into a wide corridor at the end of the guest hall with beautifully carved ceiling, and the floor above this corridor is a wide passage leading to an open hallway above the entrance to this corridor. To their right and left were rows of carved glossy wooden tall double doors. At the end of this corridor is a row of elevators and the entrance to the corridors to the right and left beside this row of elevators. They continued walking to one of the elevators and entered it.
The elevator was quite spacious even after they were inside it. What caught their attention the most was the translucent glass wall window with a sturdy metal frame at the back of the elevator, which showed the beautiful night view of Ark-001 city. Rothur walked closer to the glass wall and looked in amazement at the scene in front of him.
"Amazing, is there a day view in this city?"
Nolan walked closer to the glass wall.
“Of course, the city’s ceiling has lights that resemble an artificial sun. I also planned to bring an artificial sky into this battlecarrier starship.”
Rothur nodded; the others were amazed to hear Nolan’s plan. Nolan pressed a button on the elevator control panel beside the elevator entrance. The elevator door closed and started moving up; they waited while looking at the beautiful view of the Ark city. After a while, the elevator stopped, and the elevator door opened. They arrived at a corridor with a carpeted floor that connected room entrance doors. They walked down a corridor that led to the left. They walked down this corridor with a row of doors to their right and a row of window panes with sturdy metal frames to their left. Soon, they came to the tall wooden double doors at the end of this corridor.
Nolan opened this door and walked inside, followed by the others. Behind the door is a large, high-ceilinged common room that joins the two levels height of the building, groups of sofas, a bar counter, a TV, a kitchen bar, a row of bookshelves with a single sofa and floor lamp nearby, with several furniture that look like a table for playing poker, tables that look like pool table, darts, etc. This room also has an open hallway in the row of window panes with sturdy metal frames on the second floor and a large balcony outside the row of high wooden framed glass double doors on the first floor of this room. There's a bartender here ready to serve them. Nolan turned to the others.
"I don't think we need to be too formal?"
Grimor smiled.
"Of course, we'll happily talk with you casually."
They then sat or stood in separate sections here: Rothur at the bar counter, Grimor by the fireplace, the man in the cloak and Arlen by the balcony, and Nolan stood by one of the double doors leading to the balcony. Each of them brought their drinks made by the bartender. Nolan took his touchscreen cell phone from his overcoat's inner pocket and called one of his crew.
"Bring the statement letter."
The male voice on Nolan's cell phone replied in a respectful tone.
"Of course, sir."
They ended the call, Nolan then chatting together with the others while drinking.
Before long, a humanoid race male with maroon skin, black hair, and three horns on his head that lined up on top of his head, from the front to the back of the head. The male humanoid walked towards Nolan, carrying a long metal cylindrical container with a lid that could be opened.
"This is what you asked for, Captain."
The male humanoid handed this cylindrical container to Nolan, who accepted it. The male humanoid then excused himself and left the room. The others' attention then turned to Nolan.
