Chapter 2: Welcome to Wervas

Nolan's expression turned serious; he crossed his arms while propping his chin using his left hand as he thought.

"The uncertain situation in the universe became even more uncertain after the news regarding the path from the ancient Artifact map leading to the Starless Region was discovered. Many warring parties expanded their territory, and on top of that was the war between DZYRANTH and TITAN whose effects continued to expand. It is only a matter of time before their war becomes a threat to the universe."

Not long after, Nolan's battlecarrier starship came upon a massive white light ahead of their group and entered it.

Wervas planet, the territory of the Lantern Space Pirate Alliance

This planet looks similar to Earth, except that many areas are green, and the ocean only makes up about 40 percent of the planet's total area. In the outer space region near the orbit of planet Wervas, grains of white light resembling fireflies began to appear and gather, then form something massive. These white lights turned into the battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes of the Lantern space pirate alliance fleet. These ships and planes moved forward, and white lights resembling giant fireflies formed every part of the ships and planes' bodies from the front to the back until they finally became whole ships and planes. These white lights form all of these ships and planes that move as if they move out of lights.

The city of Werfas, the capital of the Wervas planet.

On the surface of the Wervas planet, there is one of the cities with ancient but beautiful carved concrete buildings, with the tallest building only five stories high. Each of these buildings here is connected by stone roads arranged to form a flat highway; these roads are filled with pedestrians from various humanoid races, some of whom resemble lizards, water creatures, or humans but with different skin colors and horns or scales. Some of the humanoid people in this city ride rhinos-like animals or carts pulled by it or classic-looking cars for faster transportation. The passers-by stopped their steps, as seeing the sight in their planet's orbit, the faint silhouettes of the massive battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes of the Lantern Space Pirates Alliance's fleet began to appear and fill the distant sky, making the people here boisterous with mixed expressions.

Among the citizens, a young man wearing a sleeveless leather jacket was also looking toward the sky enthusiastically. This young man had an athletic but well-proportioned build, slightly long hair but stylishly styled, mid-knee shorts, and boots. There was something different about this young man; all parts of his hands and arms, as well as all parts of the legs that were visible because clothes did not cover them, were made of some sort of sturdy white leather with sturdy carving that formed patterns of slits which contained something resembling black metal covered by this white skin. Even so, these artificial hands and legs can move as flexibly as normal hands and legs. This 20-year-old youth looks enthusiastic about the arrival of the Lantern Alliance's ships and planes. He is Arlen Norton, captain of the Endless space pirate group. An old man with long white hair, a long white mustache, and a long white beard walked up to Arlen. This old man wore clothes resembling a white kimono with wide black long pants and black boots. This old man crossed his arms, revealing grayish-black horns that merged like armor to his forearms, flesh, and skin. This old man is a 1500 years old humanoid race called Grimor Verco and was the navigator of the Endless space pirate group.

Grimor walked with another race of humanoid men who had blue skin, wore an ankle-length overcoat that opened in the middle, a waistcoat, long pants, a belt, boots with armor up to the knees on the front of the shoes, also gloves with armor up to the elbows on the top of these gloves, and an overcoat hood draped over his head. His hair is slightly long but stylishly styled; he is Rothur Navy, vice-leader of the Endless Pirates. Grimor stood before Arlen.

"They came overly vigilant."

Rothur's expression turned serious.

"I guess it's understandable given the current dangerous situation due to DZYRANTH's and TITAN's war."

Arlen put his hands on his waist and turned to face them with a big smile.

"Isn't the leader of the Lantern Space Pirate Alliance your brother Rothur?"

Rothur looked slightly surprised at this, but then his expression turned awkward.

"Right, we are brothers not bound by blood, because we were in the same orphanage when we were children."

For some reason, Rothur's expression showed something was bothering him, making Arlen and Grimor look at him in surprise.

In the distance, a man was watching them, standing while crossing his hand and leaning against the wall beside him. This man was the leader of the Black Cloak organization, which had recently formed an alliance with the Endless space pirate. The man in the cloak's entire face was covered by a black metal mask with fiery red patterns on the eyes part of the mask. This man was wearing a black ankle-length cloak covering his whole body, with a high collar up to his mouth level and a hood that covered the back of his head to the top of his head. On all parts of this cloak up to the collar part and hood part, there is a thin but very strong black pearl armor, which is formed in such a way and joined by joints that can be widened and narrowed to follow the movement of this cloak so that it will not stiff. On the right front of the cloak collar is a black belt to close the front of the cloak, to make it easier to open the cloak on the body part of this man. On the shoulders and upper arms, part of the cloak has additional protective armor with solid carvings, which at all the joints of this additional protective armor can extend in such a way as to follow the movement of the cloak.

This man are wearing a white shirt, black trousers, and boots inside the cloak. Around his waist is a baldric belt for carrying weapons on his lower back, in which both hands are covered with gauntlets up to the elbows. This gauntlet has sturdy blunt carvings, and the fingers have sturdy sharp carvings that are also on the tip of each finger as claws. Throughout the gauntlet, some carvings form patterns. On the back of the hand is another solid gold carving, and along the top of the gauntlet is a golden carving that resembles a sword. Along the left side of the gauntlet up to the elbow was a sharp blade covered in armor solidly carved into its surface, whose blade was wide enough to cut when the hand was moved to slash. The right-hand gauntlet is faint blue, while the left is yellowish red. The arrival of the Lantern space pirate alliance also attracted the attention of the man in the cloak.

In outer space, hundreds of Lantern alliance battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes fleet were finally in the outer space region near Wervas planet. The command room screens where Nolan are shows this beautiful planet called Wervas. Nolan again moved his hand with a gesture as if he had grabbed the empty air in front of him. A fairly large translucent screen rose from the metal floor, supported by a tall pillar. The symbol of a golden lantern with yellowish-red flames appeared from this screen, and it is the emblem of the Lantern space pirates alliance.

"All alliance members please stand by here, I have things to do."

Nolan ended the call. Nolan again used hand gestures; from this screen appeared a humanoid man of the same race as the leader of squad five and was one of Swordman's space pirate crews. Nolan said.

"Prepare a personnel carrier plane, we will approach our guest of honor now."

The male voice on the communications line nodded and replied.

"Understood Captain."

Nolan walked out of this commander's room through the automatic double sliding metal doors behind him.

Nolan walked alone in the hallway made of metal. Shortly after that, he arrived at a high automatic double sliding metal door which immediately opened as Nolan walked towards it. Nolan arrived at a vast hangar made of metal with a high ceiling. Countless fighter starplanes and personnel carrier fighter starplanes parked here, and Nolan walked past them. He arrived at a row of personnel carrier fighter starplanes shaped like flying wings covered with additional armor all over the plane's body, which hides laser automatic guns, laser cannons, or energy missiles. These personnel carrier fighter starplanes are four times bigger than the previous fighter starplanes.
