A tall man sits on top of a skyscraper while enjoying the night view of the city in front of him, which has buildings that are primarily skyscrapers, and this man sits on top of the tallest skyscraper here. This city resembles a modern city on earth, with beautiful parks all over the city and flying vehicles passing around between the city buildings.

Slung across his lower back was a longsword with the width of a half-span adult man's hand and longer than his height, sheathed in a black scabbard. The longsword hilt is long enough to be held in two hands freely, black colored with red ornaments and a golden lantern-like carving added to the lower end of the hilt. On the sword, the crossguard has a sturdy golden carving. This man wore a sleeveless black knee-length overcoat, gloves, trousers, and boots. From the front, his overcoat was opened in the middle; he was wearing a sleeveless black T-shirt underneath.

The man was seen from behind, received a call and took out his touch screen cellphone with a light blue transparent glass shape with a black frame only at the bottom part, from the inner pocket of his overcoat. From this man's smartphone, a man's voice was heard.

"All preparations for our battlecarrier starships fleet have been completed sir."

The man in the overcoat doesn't have much of a reaction.

"Good; await my next orders."

The man on the phone replied in a respectful tone.

"I understand sir."

The man in the overcoat then ended the call.

The man in the overcoat stood up from his seat and looked toward the sky. The majestic city in front of him had a metal ceiling with an extremely sturdy metal framework all over it, filling the sky with a view far ahead, indicating that this magnificent city was inside something massive. He was the leader of a battle fleet, and the city in front of him was inside one of the massive battlecarrier starships and the existence of an unknown number of other battlecarrier starships.

The man in the overcoat walked away toward an elevator behind him and entered it. The elevator doors closed and began to rise steadily towards an opened large metal double door in the high ceiling directly above it and flew through it. The large door then closed. Sometime later, the man in the overcoat walked into a vast Commander's room. He was alone in this room, with screens on the right, left, front, back, ceiling, and on the floor where the screens were split in the middle by a bridge with a higher surface, as well as curved screens in the upper right, upper left, lower right, and lower left corners of the room so that most parts of the room was screens. These screens display the scenery outside according to the actual direction of this battlecarrier starship that follows the direction of these screens.

These screens showed outer space studded with stars with red cloud patterns and massive battlecarrier starships of various shapes in enormous numbers appearing in an alert formation. From the display on these screens, the battlecarrier starship, where the man in the overcoat is on, moved between these massive battlecarrier starships fleet until finally, it was at the forefront.

From the front, this 30-year-old man is a human race named Nolan Arthemar, the captain of the Swordman space pirate and the supreme leader of the Lantern space pirate alliance.

Nolan made a hand gesture that raised a translucent screen with support from the floor near where he stood. Soon the screen displays a humanoid race with maroon skin, reddish-black hair, and three horns on its head that line up from the front to the back of the head and on the top of the head. The person on the screen is one of the leaders of the Scout Five groups from the Lantern Space Pirate Alliance. Nolan said.

"What is the situation in our territory?"

The person on the screen in front of him answered.

"Safe captain, there are no signs of trespassing. We continue to conduct patrols around the vulnerable parameters."

Nolan crossed his arms.

"Good, how about the news of our guest of honor?"

The leaders of the Scout Five answered.

"The overseer said if they're still where they are, we should just go to them."

Nolan nodded.

"Good, please continue your surveillance."

The Leader of the Five Scouts replied in a respectful tone.

"Understood captain."

They ended the call. Nolan operated the screen before him and contacted one of his pilot crews via voice only.

"Direct the alliance to the Wervas planet."

The male voice on the communication line replied in a respectful tone.

"Understood captain."

They then ended the call.

The view goes to the outside of the battlecarrier starship where Nolan is. This battlecarrier starship is massive in size, with the body's overall shape extending backward in the middle where the right and left parts of the starship body form like right-angled triangular wings on the right and left of the thicker main body of the starship. The part of the starship's body that forms the wings is longer than the starship's middle body part, whose excess part is behind the plane with a massive jet propulsion engine. The front of the ship is blunt, covered with fierce armor, and is the main battlecarrier starship of the Swordman space pirate. Something depicted on one side of the battlecarrier starship is a black, sharp-toothed skull that has long hair drawn as if drawn with a writing brush and curling down the skull, red eyes, which is the emblem of the Swordman space pirate, with dozens of other battlecarrier starships that fall under the symbol of the Swordman space pirate.

These battlecarrier starships are also accompanied by fighter starplanes that resemble earth fighter planes and fly countless numbers around these battlecarrier starships.

Inside half of these massive battlecarrier starships are beautiful cities like inside the battlecarrier starship Nolan commands, and all of these battlecarrier starships are members of the Lantern Space Pirate Alliance. In the course of these massive battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes move very fast but not at the speed of light. These ships and planes pass through a sort of very long cylindrical tunnel made of expanses of miniature versions of galaxies and stars, with the front and rear ends of this tunnel are white lights. Nolan thought.

"The technology of ancient Artifact made intergalactic travel the norm, but the exact path to a certain region is still in the discovery phase. Because of this technology, outer space in the universe can be connected to each other making many advantages but besides that... it also brings chaos and wars. Thanks to this technology, little secrets of the universe are starting to be revealed."

These battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes were getting closer to the white light in front of them. Nolan looks at the surrounding screen showing this massive tunnel outside his starship.

"If I look at it again, what place is this tunnel exactly? How do these tunnels connect places in the universe that are so far away? As far as I know, this artifact is only known for their uses, but how they work, manufacture, and who made them are still unsolved mysteries even though decades have passed. Even genius researchers from several corners of the universe have not been able to solve the mystery."
