Chapter 6: Last Request

Rothur's expression showed he slightly distrusted Nolan but hid it with a smile. Nolan continued speaking.

"Another reason of course is because you are in Endless Rothur."

Rothur looked slightly surprised. Nolan's expression turned slightly gloomy.

"I still think of you as my brother Rothur."

Rothur was surprised, but he smiled as he closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again.

"Does this also have something to do with The Legendary Wanderer?"

Nolan was a little taken aback.

Flashback, reminded by Nolan and Rothur when they were little. Nolan and Rothur wear short-sleeved shirts and knee-length shorts in the badlands and are barefoot, with several other children of similar appearance behind them. They both looked shabby, with a tall man standing before them and several other people standing behind him. This man wore a long-sleeved overcoat open in the middle, a shirt, trousers, and knee-high boots. The man in front of Nolan and Rothur then knelt, his face only showing the lower half, showing a wide gentle smile. This man then held Rothur and Nolan's heads with both hands.

"You all save now."

This man referred to Nolan, Rothur, and other members of the orphanage. Rothur and Nolan nodded with glum expressions. This man continued speaking.

"I want to ask you two something for help..."

Rothur and Nolan looked surprised to hear that. The man before them continued to speak.

"I leave the hope of universe on you two."

Hearing that, Nolan and Rothur's expressions turned confused. The man smiled gently.

“One day, you two will understand what I mean.”

The man stood up and turned around, then walked away; the people behind him also turned and walked following him. Nolan and Rothur stood silently where they were, watching them leave. Flashback ends.

Back to Nolan and the others. Nolan looked expressionless as tears welled up in his eyes. Arlen, Grimor, and the man in the cloak looked at Nolan in confusion, while Rothur looked sad. Arlen said.

"Why are you crying Mr. Nolan?"

Nolan immediately came to his sense and was surprised when he realized that tears had rolled down his cheeks. Nolan immediately wiped the tears on his cheeks, which soon dried up because he was crying involuntarily.

"I'm sorry, I just remembered something."

Except for Rothur, the others looked at Nolan curiously. Nolan continued speaking.

"Next, there's something I want to talk to you all about. It's about the war between Dzyranth and Titan. It is undeniable that the effects of their war will affect the pirate groups, and of course us."

Arlen's expression turned serious.

"They must be stopped, their war could cause unwanted casualties."

Grimor nodded.

"You have a plan for dealing with that Nolan?"

Nolan shook his head.

"Not yet, although I still hope that the war between them will end quickly. But then I realized, if we aim for the Starless Region, sooner or later we will have to deal with them, even the other parties. So, all we can do is prepare ourselves as best as we can."

The others appeared to agree on this point, and they then continued their dinner.

Sometime later, the food that had previously piled up on their table had run out, but they only looked satisfied without looking full. Nolan was standing on the balcony while making a cellphone call with his previous driver.

"That's right, and I'd like to borrow one more car to transport my guests, is that possible?"

From Nolan's cellphone, the male driver's voice was heard.

"Of course sir, leave it to me."

They then ended the call. Nolan tucked his cell phone back into the inside pocket of his overcoat. Nolan walked back into the room.

"After this I would like to invite you all to come to the city of Ark inside my main battlecarrier starship, to stay overnight, make our statements as The Founding Members of our alliance, and discuss other things."

The others looked slightly surprised, and Arlen looked excited.

"The city inside the battlecarrier starship? I want to see it!"

Seeing that the others were also curious about this, Nolan then smiled. They walked out of the restaurant together; the man in the cloak had closed his mask all over his face. They walked towards the highway. They arrived at the side of the road, where the sedan that had taken Nolan earlier was waiting for him and another additional sedan. Nolan said.

"We'll meet again at the airport, you all can take that car there."

Grimor replied.

"Alright, thanks Nolan."

Nolan nodded and smiled, got into his car in the backseat, and placed his sword beside him. Arlen and the others got into the other sedan, and the two vehicles drove away.

Sometime later, they arrived back at the airport with the building forming a right-angle shape. Nolan's car stopped under the porch in front of the entrance. The driver got off first and immediately opened the door for Nolan. Nolan exited his car while carrying his long sword in a scabbard, then putting it on his right shoulder. Not long after, the car Arlen and the others were traveling in arrived and parked behind Nolan's car. Arlen, Grimor, Rothur, and the man in the cloak got out of the car. Nolan immediately looked at them.

"After this, you guys follow my starplane to my main battlecarrier starship. I'll direct you via the voice communication device."

Grimor smiled.

"Of course, let's go."

They walked into the airport building. Inside the building is now lit by the lights that adorn this building; Nolan's two crew immediately noticed Nolan's presence and walked over to him. Nolan said.

"Prepare the starplane, we're going back now."

One of his crew replied.

"Understood, sir."

Nolan's two crew nodded respectfully, then walked away from here to Nolan's personnel carrier fighter starplane. Nolan turned towards the others.

"Then see you again in Ark city."

Arlen smiled broadly.

"Okay Nolan, I can't wait to get there."

Nolan smiled; he then walked away from here toward his starplane. Rothur turned to the man in the cloak.

"What about you Cloak?"

The man with the cloak answered.

"I will go alone, I fly a fighter starplane here."

The others nodded. The man in the cloak walked towards his fighter starplane; Arlen and the others headed for their fighter starship.

Back to Nolan, his starplane's engine had started, and the plane's rear door had opened to form an ascent stairs bridge. Nolan walked into his starplane, which soon, the stairs lifted and closed to become the plane's back door. Inside the starplane, Nolan sits on a chair resembling an armchair in the middle of the cockpit, behind the two pilots.

"We enter through the arrival airport to see off our guests."

One of his crew replied.

"Understood, sir."

The two pilots prepared the starplane to fly.

Back to Arlen, Rothur, and Grimor. They are completing their paperwork in front of a humanoid woman flight attendant with purple skin and from the race of the Wervas planet, who carries a touchscreen tablet computer with a transparent pale blue screen with a tablet body bezel only on the bottom of the tablet on the long side. The humanoid woman flight attendant said.

"Okay, you can go sir."

Grimor smiled.

"Okay thank you."

They walked towards their fighter starship. Rothur crossed his arms, his expression turned astonished.

"It's quite expensive, even though we haven't even been here a day."

Arlen smiled.

"Don't worry, we will soon get a treasure that will make us rich."

Rothur turned to Arlen with an astonished expression.

"Or we should just do what pirates do, rob a precious laden starship."

After passing through the automatic sliding glass double doors, they boarded their fighter starship, larger than Nolan's personnel carrier fighter starplane, via the ascent stairs bridge at the back of the plane. After they got into the starship, Rothur pressed a button on the control panel near the entrance; the stairs then moved up and closed to become the starship's rear door.

The inside of this fighter starship is quite spacious, with rooms made of sturdy metal and metal frames, decorated with beautifully carved wood trim, two private bedrooms, a shared sleeping section with hammocks, a weapons room, an engine room, a meeting room in the middle, kitchen bar, one bathroom, one toilet, and laundry room. The three of them then headed to the cockpit, which was quite spacious, with four pilot seats surrounding the front of the commander's seat. Rothur sat in the pilot's seat on the left, Grimor in the pilot's seat on the right, and Arlen in the commander's seat in the middle. Arlen smirked.

"Alright, let's head to Ark city."

Grimor and Rothur smiled; they started the starship's engine and prepared it to fly.
