Here's chapter 15. I made a poll to see whether or not you would mind if those traitorous wenches that betrayed Lilia and Aylard get raped. If it's accepted, then I MIGHT make stupid bitches that go against or lord and savior Isaac get raped.

Chapter 15: Assassins
The months went by, and it was almost time for the assassins to arrive. Things had been peaceful in the past few months. The guards had been trained, craftsmen recruited and we now had enchanters. Marcus still hadn’t begun drinking blood willingly. His sanity was going down the drain and his body weakened. I decided that if he refused to drink any blood up until the assassins arrival, then I would start forcing him myself. My family had been a bit weary and slightly resentful of me in the beginning, but they were getting used to it, and I think they forgave me. Probably the effect of a vampire’s mind change. They didn’t hesitate to feed anymore. Of course little Isaac had never been a problem. He idolized me and would always come looking for me. I think he might be spending more time with me and the girls than he did his own mother. I should tell him to spend more time with his mother. Sara probably wouldn’t be a problem when it’s her turn. She’s being raised to become a vampire after all. She’s already four years old now. She was three when I went to get them. Little Isaac had also grown a bit, confirming my theory, but I still wanted to wait for Sara to get older before making her into a vampire.
Eric’s assassin group was also going well, he had recruited a few villagers that showed talent at sneaking around and began training them. He was also putting his original underlings under intense training these last few months, making sure that they are ready. The villagers would need more training though. A few months is not enough to turn a villager into an assassin. Maybe a year or two, as he was also training their minds, to make them ready to kill someone when needed. When he deemed them ready, he would have them go kill someone in the village. If they could do it without leaving any traces of evidence, then they pass. If not, they get sentenced to death for murder.
I had also spoken to my father about his arm. I was slightly worried that such an old injury would not be healed, but my worries were unnecessary as it had healed completely.
{Third person perspective}
Though these months had been peaceful for everyone at the castle, the same could not be said for another place in the kingdom. In the Royal Capital of the Kingdom of Kalderon an uproar had occurred.
A certain prince was walking through the halls, going to a certain room that no one liked to visit. The only people that visited this place were people who came here to see if someone had died. This prince’s wife was in the military, she was a late B rank knight. He had gone through a lot of trouble to get to married to her. It was only allowed after her talent was discovered. That the prince was allowed to marry her, but the new princess had to stay in the military to hone her skills, so that she could one day become an important general in the kingdom. Thus, the young princess had been sent on a mission to the Fenlai Prefecture to handle a small matter.
A few weeks after she had left, the prince had felt a link disappear. This link was the life connection the prince and princess had made. It was a simple concept but required a Warlock to do. It connected the two people’s mana together so that they could sense each other. When the prince lost the connection, he became worried, so he went to the room where the soul links are kept. The soul links are small items, directly connected to the soul. Every important person in the Royal Palace has to have one. If the owner of the soul link dies, then the soul link breaks.
The prince stood outside the room. The two guards were looking at him nervously, for it was the crown prince that stood before them.
“Open the door, quickly!” He said
The guards rushed to open the door, fumbling through their key chain, even though there were only three keys on it. Soon they managed to open the door. The prince rushed in, and looked for the place his wife’s soul link was kept. He stood before it despair, he felt despair and sadness overwhelm him. It was broken it was broken! The soul link was broken! His wife, the royal princes, the next queen of the Kalderon Kingdom, was dead! There was no doubt about it. The only way to disconnect from a soul link was to die. There was no other way. The only possibility was that she had died. The prince was in despair. He fell down to his knees, grabbed his chest. He let out a heart wrenching scream, full of sorrow and sadness. The scream resounded throughout the entire castle, shocking many people. In his despair, a lock of his hair turned entirely white, then the whiteness started to spread out, making white streaks appear throughout his hair. His black hair, was now black and white. He felt weak, and couldn’t stand up so he ordered the guards to help him up.
That woman had been the love of his life. He had to repeatedly go against his father’s will, and almost lost his position as the crown prince for her. But now she was dead. He had to know why. He had to get revenge! After he recovered his strength he started waltzing over to the king. It felt like the longest walk he ever had. Even longer than getting to the soul link room. Soon he found himself outside the king’s study, his father’s study. He directly opened the door and walked in, without knocking. The king looked up, annoyed, but after seeing his son he was shocked.
“Father, she’s dead! Lisa is dead! She’s dead!” the prince screamed. The king abruptly stood up, shocked.
“What?! She’s dead?! How did that happen?! She was on her way to the capital of the Fenlai Prefecture! How did she die there?! There isn’t anyone stronger than B ranks there. This is bad, send out investigators there immediately!” The king shouted. But there wasn’t anyone there to take those orders, except the prince, so they ordered a meeting.
The death of Princess Lisa was reported, and an elite team of investigators were sent out. They were to travel at top speed to the capital of Fenlai Prefecture, taking the same route as the princess took. The main suspect in this case was the Lord Commander, Charles Fenlai. If they couldn’t find evidence of someone else killing her, then they would charge him of treason. After all he was a strong man. He was the hope of Fenlai Prefecture, because he was already at the peak of rank B. He would be the only one that could kill her.
After Lisa became a princess she had become a very important person to the kingdom, because she was on track to becoming an A ranker. She was supposed to become a pillar of support for the kingdom, but now she was dead.
The very same day, the investigators departed. The prince fell sick from the heart break and was bedridden. He truly had loved the girl. The prince laid bedridden for weeks. The best doctors were hired to heal him. After a few months of rest, the prince finally recovered, but his hair was white as snow, and his eyes had a sinister look to them. From that day onward, the prince had become cold and heartless. The only thought on his mind was revenge.
Meanwhile the investigators had finally arrived at Fenlai City. It was a very long journey from the Royal Capital to Fenlai City, so it took them several months. But there was no rush. They needed to investigate this as carefully as possible. They would take their time and make sure nothing escaped their eyes. They didn’t notify the Lord Commander of their presence yet. They instead had a few men infiltrate the palace and look for any evidence. They also had men infiltrate all of the underground world’s most important places, like the Rogue’s Guild. There was also always someone looking at the town gates, using their techniques to look for anyone suspicious.
Thus they would stay in Fenlai City for as long as it took. If they found enough evidence that supported it not being Charles, then they would go report the situation to him. If not? Then they would immediately report to the king. Then it would be the king’s decision, and the investigators would leave.
{Isaac POV}
The day had come. Valen was riding on a horse, behind him were ten men, dressed in dark leather. I was observing them from a window. Suddenly Valen looked up to me. It slightly surprised me, but I just waved at him. He waved back. He has pretty good eyesight. I mean, we were still several kilometers apart.
A while later, they finally arrived at the entrance.
“Isaac, you’re quite something. You were looking at us out of a window, several kilometers away. Then I snuck a glance at you, and what do you do? You wave to me. From several kilometers away you could see me slightly turning my head at you and looking at that small window. I could just barely see you waving. You’d make one hell of an archer!” Valen said, slightly excited.
“Yes, I’m gifted with great sight. And hearing. And other things…” I said mysteriously. Valen just laughed at me.
“I brought you ten trained assassins. They’re all C rank, so treat them well. You should also start recruiting new assassins. Maybe from that village of yours, down there. Quite a place you’ve built, by the way. If you don’t know where it is, then it’ll be very hard to find.” He said.
“We already started recruiting. We have a few dozen in training, and then also some guys that Eric has trained for a few years already. Now those guys are in charge of training the recruits. They’re pretty good.” I said, praising Eric’s good work. One of those three guys had been made a vampire by Eric, back when I had them make their own. They had a little competition between them.
“That’s good. But I apologize, because I won’t be able to stay here any longer. Not long ago I received a report that we’re being attacked by a rival organization. Nothing dangerous, but I should go check the situation. See you later.” Valen said, then suddenly disappeared, leaving only an afterimage. I then turned towards the new assassins.
“Welcome, assassins. My name is Isaac Coldblood, and I am the leader of this branch, known as the Coldblood branch. We’re a new branch, so you guys are our first assassins, not counting the other four, and the ones in training. These servants will show you to your rooms. And for now you shouldn’t wander around the castle, but stay in your rooms. I’ll have Eric, our stealth expert explain to you the details and other things before you can wander around. This can be a dangerous place for the ignorant.” I said, with a very cold voice while staring into their eyes with my soul piercing gaze. The ten assassins nodded nervously. I scared them even more than Valen did. Well, I was a bit more monstrous than him. I went into my study, and had someone summon Eric. Moments later he arrived.
“Lord, what do you need?” He asked.
“Go ahead and sit down. I want to discuss a few things with you.” I said. Eric sat down.
“As you know, the assassins have arrived. I want you to bind them to you with blood and explain to them about us. There’s also something else. I want you to go make some information gathering places in the cities. I was thinking that they could also double as orphanages. With an orphanage we could take in orphans. Then when they grow up we take the beautiful females to the castle, as blood dolls. The strong males can become our guards and the sneaky ones could become assassins. We can also have them go in the streets, pickpocketing and gathering information they hear. The staff should be trained to gather information as well. Understand?” I said.
“Yes. I’ll go talk to Bogat about it, then we’ll plan it out. I’ll report to you when it’s all ready.” Eric said in a very professional tone.
“Good.” I said. With all these orphanages we would have a good source of blood dolls, and also a good place to raise assassins and human guards. It’s important for us to have human guards as well, in case we need to some public show of strength.
But there was still the matter of getting contracts. No one knew about us, so people wouldn’t come to us for help. I decided that I would have the Rogue’s Guild help me on that matter. If I used them as the middleman, then we would be set. But there was a long distance between us and the capital. It would take too long to have someone travel between, and would also pose risk to our location.
“Eric, there is still one more thing. I need you to go meet that Guild leader. Eldric was it? You need to make a deal with him. That is, for him to help us get contracts. We’ll use him as a middleman for now. Go see Bogat for money for a communications stone, then take one of your underlings with you to the capital. After the deal is done, that underling will stay back in the city and report to us the details of missions given. That’s all, you’re dismissed.” I said.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
“Yes Lord. I’ll go deal with these matters right away.” He said, then left the room. Now that this was dealt with, it was time to go see Marcus once more, to see if he would feed. If not I would have to start forcing him. I had talked with my parents and Felicia. They had agreed that it couldn’t go on any longer. But it was still not safe to let him go. He needed to accept his nature. I wouldn’t let him taint his children with his naivety. I went deep into the castle’s dungeons, arriving at that hallway with the heavy metal doors. I took out a key and opened one of the doors. This time the lights were on, and I wasn’t attacked by him. It hadn’t been too long since he last fed, so he still had moments of sanity. He looked up to, with a still rather depraved look, his face pale. I closed the door, and sat on his bed.
“Brother, are you ready to accept your nature?” I asked him. I didn’t think that he would accept, but I would still ask him every time I visited him.
“Dream on.” He said in a weak voice. His body was frail and skinny, as if he hadn’t eaten for months. His skin was getting slightly wrinkly and his hair was graying. It looked like he had aged many years in these past months. If he hadn’t drunk any blood at all, then he’d look like a 150 year old grandpa. As a vampire grew older they would be able to live without blood for longer periods, and not fall into depravity as easily, but if Marcus kept on like this, his sanity would be forever tarnished. I stood up from the bed and walked up to him. I took out a blood red bottle from my coat. I grabbed Marcus’ throat and lifted him up. He suddenly became scared and looked at me with pleading eyes.
“Isaac, please don’t.” He said in weak voice.
“I’m sorry brother.” I said. I took the bottle and started pouring the contents into his mouth. He tried to fight back, but under my power he could barely move. After I forced the blood into him, I finally released him.
“I’m sorry brother, but this is the only way. Just know that I am being kind to you. It would be simple for me to force you into drinking out of your own accord. But I won’t. I won’t force you to feed on anyone.” I said and left, closing the door behind me. This first time, I fed him myself, but in the future I would probably have someone else do it. Even a normal vampire could subdue him now.
One year has passed since. In these two years, we had completed many contracts. We had already built a reputation as the most fearsome assassin group in the prefecture. Our assassins were very skilled, and would rarely be even seen. In the extremely rare case that one was captured, the torturers would never manage to get a single piece of information out of them. No matter what methods they used. We had even assassinated nobles, something that the other assassin groups wouldn’t do, since they weren’t strong enough to. But this fact wasn’t known. After all they were only rumors. The only known fact was, that we exist. Some of our assassin recruits from the village were ready for work as well, but they would only take the easier missions. But they were still extremely skilled. The training that they were put through would break most people. The only reason they were still fine, was because of the reward of vampire blood.
The orphanages had also been established. We had begun adopting children ten months ago. They were trained in information gathering and pickpocketing. Of course no one outside knew of this. They just thought that the Coldblood family was being kind with their vast amounts of money. We had also sent very skilled information gatherers and spies to manage them. These spies had discovered something interesting. The ones that handled orphanages in Fenlai City were all vampires made by Eric, so they were very skilled, since they had their heightened senses. Even a normal vampire could have senses superior to an A rank, depending on the bloodline. If they were of Eric’s bloodline, which is the stealthiest and has the best senses, then a normal vampire that is a few months old has superior senses than an A rank human. And these vampires were all of Eric’s bloodline. And there were five of them there.
It had been ten months since they arrived at the city. In these ten months they had discovered something interesting. They had discovered that skilled spies were in the city. They didn’t know exactly how many there were, but there was a group. At least six of them. They had been keeping an eye on them. There was someone watching the gates at all times, and they had found that one of them had infiltrated the Guild. They were sure that they didn’t belong to the Lord Commander, since they were too skilled. They were probably D or C ranked in strength, but their spying skills were very good. Our vampires were all at the D rank, but they were superior in the art of stealth and spying, so they had no problem keeping an eye on them, but in a fight they weren’t sure. If they were at the D rank, then it was easy game, but if they were C rank, then they might be troublesome. In maybe two years, the vampires would reach C rank. But they didn’t intend to get rid of them, except if they posed a danger to us.
One day, I was sitting in my study when someone knocked on the door. “Come in” I told them. The one that came in was Eric.
“Lord Isaac, I have a report.” He said. I nodded and he sat down.
“One of our assassins was killed. But the weird thing is that he never arrived at his location. The bond connecting us was severed way before he should have arrived. He also managed to send me a message before he died. He said that he was attacked by enemy assassins. And there were several of them there, waiting in ambush. This means that they knew where he was going.” Eric said.
“Hmmm. This is bad. There is most probably a traitor. A traitor in the castle is out of question, so it must be at the Guild. Here’s what we’ll do. Have your underling investigate the Guild. Order him to do everything he can to find him, and make that Eldric guy help. When you find the culprit torture him. Take any messaging devices he may have. Make sure he talks, even if you have to use your blood. But torture him first. Also, send another assassin to the place of the mission, but use another route, that wasn’t given by the Guild. And before you go, please summon Lilia and Aylard.” I said.
“Yes Lord.” Eric replied and left. A few moments later Lilia and Aylard arrived.
“I think it’s about time for the revenge story to begin, don’t you agree?” I said. When they heard me they instantly got excited.
“Really?! We’re finally gonna get our revenge?!” They said excitedly.
“Yes. I am going to take a few guys with me and capture them. But I think that you should stay here. It’s more fun if they see you while confined in the dungeon. That way they’ll be more scared and shocked.” I said. The two siblings looked very excited, and nodded happily.
“Good. I need to go out for a stretch. I haven’t left this place in too long. I think I’ll take Serana and Amelia with me.” I said, then rose from my chair and left. I went to find Amelia and Serana who were chatting with Alicia. They had become quite good friends.
“Girls, I intend to go get those people that betrayed Lilia and Aylard. Oh, and Alicia, I think it’s time that you become a vampire too. I’ll turn you when we get back. After that you can turn your sister yourself.” I said, then left, leaving behind a happy Alicia, since her dream was finally coming true. In fact she was so happy she didn’t speak. She knew that after she became a vampire she might also get to marry Isaac. Then she would be equal with Amelia and Serana, not having to call them Mistress or something.
My wives and I left on Iluvatar. A few days later we arrived at Falen City, the city that those scums live in. We went directly to the orphanage we had in the city. All the children flocked up to us when they found out who we were. They were really thankful to us, since they now had a home and got enough food, even though they had to do slightly ‘illegal’ things. There were many cute girls that would grow into beautiful women there. They would all become blood slaves at the castle. After playing with the children, we went to meet the ‘managers’ of the place. They told us where the adventurers lived. We had already confirmed that they were at home before we left, so that wasn’t a problem. The three of us left the orphanage followed by the four managers.
Soon we arrived in front of a small mansion. I walked forwards to knock on the door. A woman opened the door, but before she could ask what I wanted I walked inside the house and grabbed the woman, holding her mouth shut. After everyone entered the house, one of the managers closed the door. I dragged the woman into the living room, then knocked her unconscious.
“All inhabitants of this house, hurry to the living room or this girl dies!” I shouted.
“What!?” I heard a returning sound. There was a bit of rumbling as everyone ran down here. Five people stood in front of me.
“Good all of you are here. Prepare yourselves for a life of pain and misery.” I said, then flashed and knocked everyone out. I looked towards the managers.
“You guys tie them up and put them in bags.” I said. The managers hurried to tie them up and put them in bags. After they finished they all grabbed a bag or two, then we left. When we arrived at the gate we were naturally stopped, since we were carrying suspiciously shaped bags.
“Stop! What’s in those bags? Open them!” The guard ordered. I looked angrily at the guard.
“Move over, or I’ll have you and your entire family executed!” I shouted at him. The guard just smiled at me.
“Oh really? Just open the damned bags or you’ll be jailed!” The guard said. I was angered and grabbed the guard’s neck and smashed him against the wall. The guards responded by drawing their weapons and surrounding us.
“Listen here you insects! My name is Isaac Coldblood! Maybe you have heard of me, as the most powerful man in the prefecture? If you don’t scram then this man won’t be the only one to die today!” I yelled at them. When they heard my name they were all visibly scared. While they were shivering in fear I smashed the head of the guard in my hands against the wall, shattering his head and making brain matter and blood spread all over the wall. At this moment a man wearing a different uniform came running up. He came up to me then kneeled in front of me.
“Lord Isaac, please accept our sincere apologies. The mayor of the city noticed the turmoil up here and ordered me to apologize to you and let you go about your business.” The man said. I let the corpse in hand fall down to the ground.
“It’s fine. The main culprit has been dealt with accordingly so there is no need to worry anymore.” I said and started walking away. The man on his knees looked towards the mutilated corpse on the ground, making his heart waver. This was ‘dealing with the problem accordingly’? What a ruthless man, he thought. I walked over to where Iluvatar was staying and had the managers put the bags on his body. When that was done, we finally left, heading back to our castle, which still didn’t have an official name. After a few days of traveling we arrived back at home again. On the back our captives had woken up a few times, but we just let them sleep again. I had the guard’s strip them of their clothes, then put them in the dungeon, where they would hang in the cold, being fed only a piece of dry bread and some water every day, until they died. The next day I went to get Lilia and Aylard. We stood outside the cell where they were imprisoned.
“You two wait here. Come in when I tell you to.” I said. The siblings nodded, then I walked in. When I came in the six naked adventures looked at me in both anger and despair.
“Why did you do this?! What have we done to deserve this?! Please let us go?!” One of the women said. I smiled.
“What you did to deserve this? What didn’t you do to deserve this, you fucking insects? Well, you’ll know in a moment. Come in.” I said, as I looked to the door. Lilia and Aylard walked in the door. When the insects saw them, their eyes widened.
“Impossible! You’re dead! There’s no way you could have gotten away!” They screamed. Lilia walked forwards.
“No, Lord Isaac here saved us. He rushed into the boss chamber and grabbed us, then left the chamber in speeds unimaginable to insects like you, even faster than the closing door. Then he made us into one of his own. He made us into vampires! The most supreme beings in the world, far superior to insects like you humans. And now we’re going to make sure you live a long life, full of pain and despair! Using our blood we’ll make it so that you live for centuries inside this dark cell!” Lilia screamed into their faces.
