Once I sat in my cool and comfortable chair a hologram appeared in front of me showing 3 galaxies. These galaxies had their governments' names above them. They were The Milky Way Federation, The Zel'Zari Talmen, and The Elimen Dynasty.
"Aldion, give me a brief description of these governments."
"Of course Andemion, The Milky Way Federation is exactly what it says it is, a federation, it is democratic and freedom based, led by their President. The Zel'Zari Talmen is an extremely religious government led by their religious leader the High Tain. The Elimen Dynasty is a more feudal and aristocratic government mixed with some meritocracy, they are led by their Emperor." I was quite perplexed on how both an extremely religious and feudal based governments could last so long. The Empire didn't count.
"Aldion how long is it going to take to get The Milky Way Federation?"
"Including stops for recharging the crystal makers and course corrections it should take a few months. We are quite far away." A couple of months is a long duration of time spent in a limited space. Looks like I would have time to chat with the others in my soul. I could also practice other things too.
"Alright then. Aldion, start the engine's and get us to that Federation. In the meantime I will practice my piloting with. I will also train other skills in between."
"Sir, practicing piloting the ship will take several hours out of traveling. This will add at least a couple of weeks to travel time. Are you sure you don't want to wait."
"No. Even if it makes us take longer I want to practice piloting. Plus this will help me train my patience and focus. It's a win-win."
"As you wish, Sir."
I could hear the engine's start up with a hum. We started to rapidly advance. As we were accelerating we started to enter a Sub-Space. Once we entered the Sub-Space I saw a whole new world. It was beautiful. It was like viewing space through a kaleidoscope. Light broke into various different colors around me. We were passing by a variety of different animals. Then the space around the ship started to warp. Vast distances were crossed in moments. Still we were an incredible distance away from our destination.

My personal training consists of a couple of hours of piloting practice, and hour of working out, combat training, production, and meditation for the rest of the time. The piloting was going decently well in the beginning, considering there was nothing for me to hit. Working out lets me adjust and get used to my body, while also strengthening my body. I also wanted to know how to defend myself. Production allowed me to make my own weapons. Meditation allowed me to organize and review my actions and thoughts of the day. It also allowed me to absorb the UE and talk to the souls inside me.
This schedule continued on for a couple weeks until we were interrupted. The ship was shaking as it was forced back into main space. Alarms were blaring all around me. "Captain, we are being pulled back into Main Space. I am detecting multiple hostile vessels. Please get to the bridge."
As I arrived on the bridge the ship shook so hard that I was thrown to the floor. After getting up I sat in my very cool seat. Gazing at a hologram that was in front of me I viewed the situation before me. The ship was surrounded on all sides. There are six ships with their armaments aimed at us. Multiple fighter crafts and drones also surrounded us. Beyond them, there are multiple ships that seemed to be either haulers or carriers.
"Sir we are being communicated."
"Can you scan the ships and see how they compare to us?" I asked curious to see how advanced the tech these raiders had. I was quite excited for my first contact with an actual, hopefully, living being. Sadly my want for contact came second to my safety.
"Already done Sir. These raiders do not possess the means to breach neither the hull nor shields of this ship. Should this come to conflict we could easily disable or destroy them." It looked like Empire's tech was still advanced, so far.
"Good. Now patch the communication through. I wanna see who decided to interrupt my journey."
Aldion immediately complied and patched them through. A video feed appeared on the window showing an alien figure. It had an elongated face with bone ridges going up its snoot. It had four yellow eyes. It was covered in scales.
"Now what is a human like you doing so far away from your precious federation. I haven't seen one of you in quite a while." Its voice was grating and arrogant. It appeared that it thought that they were in no danger.
"My buisness is my own. Now, what do you want?" I asked, making it clear with my tone that I wasn't worried in the slightest.
"Now I was just being polite. You don't see a lot of people out in these parts quite often. Especially a lone and seemingly new ship like yours." It was ignoring my question. I didn't like that, but I was willing to play its little game.
"If you don't see a lot of people then what are you doing out here. You obviously aren't a part of any military given the diversity of your ships. I don't even think any pirate's would be here given the lack of loot to get. Well not any good pirates." It didn't make any sense for them to be out here given what they said and the situation.
"You seem to be smart. Maybe a little too smart. I'll give you one chance to surrender and if you do I might let you live. Otherwise we will kill you and scrap your ship. Please do surrender, I would rather not have to scrap your ship. It looks quite valuable." It seemed quite irritated at the beginning, but then shifted its tone to a more gentle one. By the end I could feel the greed radiating off of it.
It officially fully ticked me off. I immediately cut the transmission and raised the shields to full power. I then activated all guns.
Before I could fire they all fired upon me. After a little while of firing they stopped and saw that there wasn't even a scratch on the hull. My shields were barely even affected. Now it was my turn.
