-Michel-

Alternative titles: He who murdered Emon, The Syndicate.

As hinted by his first title, during the beautiful early morning at the seaside cliff in 1884, Emon was murdered by Michel, who then commanded the Lady in Black to murder Emon’s wife, but leave his two sons, Caelum and Vaelen, alive. Soon after committing the murder, Michel brought Emon to his classroom, and had resurrected him.

Emon continued on with his life without any clues hinting at the role he lived prior to his ‘death’; A father of two who lived with a loving wife named Velera in his hometown. However, this ‘reality’ would soon repeat itself.

Michel was eventually revealed to be the main perpetrator of the ACM case in 1884. He ensured Emon would be the one to arrive at North-Eastern Ventoria after making one of his ‘Fleshes’ send the letter to the Cyclone Cellar, and ‘mark’ Zaccheus with the Zealot Blade. This would result in Zaccheus handing the letter to Dark, who would then give it to Emon.

Upon arriving at the designated location, Michel revealed himself alongside Phineas, and also partly revealed crucial information regarding the Rapid Decay Phenomenon, and how, with Phineas’ help, he managed to fabricate that narrative. Not too long after, Michel commanded Grisha to pierce Emon’s chest with the Zealot Blade, resulting in Emon collapsing and waking up in a tavern nearby.

Here, Emon was received by Knight Three, whose every steps were guided by Michel. He was tasked with making Emon drink a glass of water that was inbued with a love potion before taking him to another room, where two ladies named Clara and Avani resided. Emon’s first encounter with Avani led him to have intercourse with her, which resulted in her getting pregnant with Caelum and Vaelen.

Not too long after their moment, Michel, alongside Grisha, arrived at Emon’s house, and were at that moment revealed to be ‘close associates’ of ‘Avani’, who was later on named ‘Velera’. Grisha handed the Zealot Blade to her so that she could strike Emon with it once more. This worked out flawlessly, and Michel was then able to ‘mark’ Emon with an unidentified Second Conjuration that ended up with Emon’s memory being manipulated. Ever since that night, Emon would believe that Velera was his wife of a few years, and that they had two children together.

Nine months passed, and Michel seemed to have repeated history once more. Just like at the very beginning of the story, Michel had struck Emon’s chest with his sword, killing him gradually. The Lady in Black then appeared, and killed Velera, leaving the two baby brothers behind.

Eighteen years later, Michel had requested Zaccheus to come to a secluded area not too far from his house. There, Michel revealed himself alongside Emon, who was, at that point, considered a ‘close associate’ of him. Not too long after, Helvega arrived at the place, and went under significant turmoil as she witnessed Emon, someone she believed to be dead, still be alive. This moment marked the founding of The Syndicate. Michel acknowledged Zaccheus, Helvega, and Emon to be the founding members.

“…As long as you trust our words, you will get the revenge you have sought after for all these years. The Yraemonde Family will be destroyed, I promise you that.”

-Helvega Jinton-

Only biological child of Aurora Jinton, and foster older sister of Caelum and Vaelen Jinton. Helvega is the current Caretaker of Ventoria’s greatest library, and had built quite a commendable reputation for herself. She graduated Ventoria University at nineteen, took the Caretaker role at twenty seven, whilst having spent six years at Luria since she was twenty three years old.

Helvega had come to learn about the truth about the Jinton Family and the reasoning behind Aurora’s downfall that was believed to be brought by her ex-husband, whose name has been shrouded in mystery. Despite leading a seemingly affluent life, she seems to aimlessly lead her boat with no real end destination in sight. This is until she encountered Phineas at the Gaian Inquisition, prompting her to reflect on the situation with her mother at the Custody Agency.

Soon after these events, she would encounter Michel alongside Emon at the desolate building. Up until this point, she believed Emon to have died alongside his ‘clandestine’ wife. Seeing him alive, standing just a few meters away from her, caused her to feel enraged, given she believed Emon to be the reason why her mother had turned depressed and crestfallen. However, Zaccheus stopped her from acting impulsively, and suggested they both await the letter that would come, hinting towards the first formal meeting of The Syndicate.

“...I love you too.”
