ReLive: So What If I Exploited the System?
Chapter 2 (V2): The First Exploit

Chapter 2 (V2): The First Exploit

I opened my eyes to look and lifted myself. I looked around the room to see where I was. I was in the infirmary as I tried to move. I felt like my insides were going to explode.

Ugh, why is my body so weak.

“Hey, you. You’re finally awake.” said a soft voice.

I moved my head towards the direction of where the voice is coming from. It was from a man with a clean-shaven face. His eyes were blue and gentle. His hair was dirty blonde, and he wore a blue robe with yellow accents.

“You were trying to pick a fight with the guards, weren’t you?”

His face showed a serious expression, but his voice had a sound of sincerity.

“Yes…” I said with a disappointed expression. “What happened to Elizabeth?!”

“Eliza- oh you mean the girl…”

His expression changed and his eyes looked sad. I knew what was coming next, this was the kind of look that doctors had when they were going to announce the death of a patient in those hospital dramas.

“I’m sorry.”

My eyes began to tear up, and I felt a burning sensation in my throat.

Why must this happen to me? Why must I lose everyone I love? Why am I cursed to have a life filled with care and affection?

As tears began to leave my eyes and my face began to swell up, the man approached me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

“A child your age should never experience these things.”

As his hand moved from my shoulder to my face, I felt the burning sensation in my face growing hotter. The pain in my chest was increasing as more tears streamed down my face. This feeling… it was familiar to when my mother killed me.

Although in my previous life I was 17 years old, I have been living in this world for 13 years now with no recollection of my previous life. This is who I am now. I am not the boy that I once was, I am Mary Tudor. I am a Dark Elf…

A Dark Elf…

I fell deep into thought the tears began to subside and my ugly crying face began to loosen. The pain in my chest began to decrease little by little as time passed by. The face of the man trying to comfort me loosened as well and he stood up.

“It looks like you have calmed down, for now, I will leave you on your own,” he said with a gentle smile.

As he left the infirmary room into what I presume to be his office I stared out of the window.

Am I even a human anymore?

I thought long and hard of this question. As time passed around me other questions began to fill my head.

Although I have memories of me being a guy, I am physically a female, should I change the way I have been acting or should I not? Are my desires still the same? What exactly do I want now?

As these questions filled my mind, I felt like my sanity was slowly leaving me. However, I knew how to answer one of these questions…

I am no longer human.

Through answering this question, I felt a twisted smile appearing on my face. I felt like my soul was leaving my eyes. I felt like I was being liberated from my restraints. I felt like I was ready to take this world full-on.

Speaking of which, since I was reincarnated into a new world, I wonder if it is like those light novels I have read in my previous life. If that were the case, then that means that there were RPG-esque elements implemented into this world. I wonder if there is a status screen?

This status screen was like the one present in Dragonlord V: Resurrection.  Which means that this world is going to be a lot crueler than usual… or is it? If I remember correctly DLV:R was filled with bugs and the system had a lot of exploits that I could use. I wonder if this world also includes stuff from the remastered edition.

Well, the only way to find out is to escape this prison camp and I shall use the knowledge of the game to do so. For time being, I shall bid for my town because I am still injured, and I shall prepare myself for revenge…

My first task was gaining a {Prayer Passive Ability} which can be done by praying to one of the Devas for 30 days while having a diet of bread and water only. This is more of an easter egg in the game because it is incredibly time-consuming, however, you do gain a sizable reward for your efforts. I laid down and collected my thoughts on what I could remember about this world’s lore and game mechanics.

In the Dragonlord universe, the Gods and Goddesses are seen as malevolent figures rather benevolent because they would often interfere in this world for their pleasure, however, they cannot reproduce and create the concept of half-gods like in another mythos. No one knows how the 12 Devas became divine begins, however, according to the in-game lore, many of the Archmages speculate that the Devas were great wielders of magic that we're able to surpass life and spirit. This speculation also infers that the Devas did not create life itself suggesting that they are even more superior divine beings.

In this world, there are 12 Devas that also represent the months of the year. Unlike my previous world, this world has two seasons, summer and winter, the following gods represent the summer months: Magnolia the Deva of Fertility, Tulip the Deva of the Sky, Sage the Deva of Wisdom, Ivy the Deva of Marriage & Beauty, Coriander the Deva of Smithing, and Coreopsis the Deva of Music & Poetry. The next Devas represent the Winter months: Tansy the Deva of War, Clematis the Deva of Famine, Hibiscus the Deva of Hunting, Rhododendron the Deva of the Sea, Rose the Deva of Death, and Gazania the Deva of Commerce.

Another difference that this world has compared to my previous world is that there are 6 days of the week. The days of the week are named after the 6 Great Heroes of the Demonic Disturbance where demons invaded this world through opening a portal that led to their world of Helstein. The 6 Great Heroes are named Angio, Anemo, Hyd, Entoma, Ornith, and Chiro. The end of the Demonic Disturbance marks the start of the new calendar with the term “AD” meaning “After Disturbance” and “BD” meaning “Before Disturbance.”

The calendar of this world has 360 days meaning that each month has 5 weeks. When writing the date on important documents in this world, the date might turn out like this: “The 2nd Angio of the month of Ivy in the year 528 AD.”

Today, according to the man taking care of me in the infirmary, is the 5th Ornith of the month of Clematis in the year 1060 AD. Meaning I will have to pray until the 5th Ornith of the month of Hibiscus, but what if there is a way to speed up this process.

I was curious if this exploit would work because this world is my real life, and this system was no longer in a game meaning that there might be limitations to my methods. But hey there was no way to know that it wouldn’t work without trying it out first.

This exploit required me to mess around with the companion system of the game. In DLV:R the system only allows you to have a maximum of 1 companion, however, summoned/raised-dead companions allow you to go over that set amount. According to data-miners in several forums, no code specifically stated that summoned/raised-dead companions did not count towards the companion limit, meaning that they went over the limit and there were no repercussions for it.

The way to get the {Prayer Passive Ability} could be exploited by having your companions pray alongside you to half the amount of time it takes. Meaning if I have someone else in the infirmary pray for me as well as another summoned/raised-dead companion then it would only take 7.5 days, which was 8 when rounded to the nearest whole number, for me to gain the prayer buff. However, what if that person could also have a summoned/raised-dead companion. Then using simple mathematics, it would go down to 3.25 days, or 3 when rounded down to the nearest whole number. Isn’t math such a beautiful thing?

Unfortunately for me, I am not allowed to leave this infirmary room for the next 3 days because I assaulted a guard, whatever he was asking for it anyways that bitch. Luckily for me, there was a man that I could rely on to teach me through simply using the good ol’ loli puppy eyes trick. I felt my mouth forming into a devious shape as if I became the devil himself.
