“I can’t believe that she managed to defeat him. No matter, it wouldn’t be an interesting “experiment” if she didn’t… These Devas, what exactly are they planning? What do they want with both of us? What makes her so important that they forced me to act so soon?” I said to myself as I stood in front of a misty cave.
“No matter, I shall build an army, an army that will destroy her, an army that will help me conquer this entire continent. These Dragonlords will obey my every command… isn’t that right, Liam?” I said as I turned around seeing a man bowing before me.
“It is as you say… my child,” he replied without a hint of malice.

I woke up in a cold sweat, I looked around me, I was in some sort of wooden building. There were bottles for potions and books scattered around me. The scent of herbs filled my nose, as well as the sound of bubbles popping filling my ears. How long have I been sleeping?
As I let my mind wander off trying to process what has been going on around me, I then saw Gordon enter the room with a small girl behind her. She was slightly taller than me with a similar build except… she had much bigger breasts.
“So, this is the mistress,” I said under my breath.
I managed to meet her orange-colored eyes with mine. Her pupils were like those of a dragon in contrast to her human-like appearance. I examined her the closer she came, she had small patches of scales on her cheeks and on her neck. She had a fang sticking out of her mouth. Her outfit reminded me of the mages from Autumnfall College.
As she and Gordon arrived in front of my bed, I then switched my glance to him. I then tilted my head and pointed at the woman beside him to see if he could take the hint. His eyes widened, but he did not do anything. I facepalmed.
“So, Gordon, are you going to introduce your mistress here?”
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
“Mistress?” he sighed while rubbing the inner part of his eyes. “This here is Emilia, she’s the one I bought the Tomes that you requested.”
“I see… Well, Ms. Emilia, it's a pleasure to meet you.” I replied before noticing that her face was as red as a tomato. “A-are you okay.”
“Mi-mis-mistress,” she said meekly. “There’s no way I would ever m-marry an idiot like Gordon.”
“What is this tsundere play here?” I thought to myself. “Ahem, w-well anyways I would like to thank you for allowing us to stay here for the time being.”
“I-it’s no problem,” said Emilia trying to regain her confidence. “Y-you can stay here as long as you like. I-I have a debt to repay to Liam after all.”
I smiled at her, “Thank you.”
She then nodded and placed her hand on my hand. It felt soft without a hint of any roughness anywhere. Her hand filled my hand with warmth, as I stared at her, I glanced up at her face. She is quite beautiful, even up close. Her scales reflected the little light in the room, while her smile was filled with warmth.
“My, my, it seems like you’re a bit cold still, perhaps you should get a little more rest. Don’t worry I’ll wake you up when I prepare food,” said Emilia.
I nodded with a tired expression. As she let go of my hand, I laid back down and covered myself up with a blanket. While I closed my eyes, I heard her whisper something to Gordon.
“Seems like you have a lot of work ahead of you,” she said, trying not to chuckle.

As the moon disappears and the sun rises, I shall turn back into my Dark Elf self. I have finally arrived in front of the Labyrinth. Those damn Brotherhood assassins were a pain to deal with. The fact that I did not manage to kill them either means that they will keep on coming after me. Well no matter, after all, I am part of the Silver-Eyes Mercenaries, the greatest Werewolf clan on this continent.
I wandered around the Labyrinth, it was mostly just cracked stones and fallen pillars everywhere. I looked around, trying to find a source of light to see if they were any bandits nearby. Ruins like these are a great hunting ground to find meat to find on.
Growl. I need this meat otherwise I will go feral from my hunger… Guess I will have no choice but to go into the Labyrinth. May the Lord of Wrath, Patientia bless me with a bountiful hunt in this dungeon.
As I entered the Labyrinth, I listened to the natural world outside of it disappear entirely. The smell of death lurked around every corner. The scent of rotting flesh filled my nose. I began to wag my tail. Well, it’s not good meat, but this will have to do. After all, it would be a shame to waste these Revenants…
