Warhawx's X-mas X-Over X-pecial (Part 2/3)

Warhawx's X-mas X-Over X-pecial (Part 2/3)

Writer’s spot: GREETINGS FRIENDS! MERRY CHRISMTAS YOU ALL!

SO, you see, me and the author from Insania Online and Spiritsmith decided to get together and make a three part Christmas special crossover! Why? No idea! Don’t go expecting anything grand happening, though, as the idea is mostly what would happen if the characters found themselves in a room together, so instead of content, we are focusing more on the flow of the story. (If it wasn’t clear enough, I’m also the author of the two other fics, okay?) Anyway, each part will be posted in one of the stories and will be posted one the day before, during, and the day after (hopefully). I know not everyone read all stories, so I will make sure to at least post a link here after they are posted.

BESIDES, Today’s chapter is probably even longer than yesterday’s, despit the fact that IO’s chapters are usually the longest ones. Talk about odd. Anyway, I’ll have a link up for the previous part, and a link for the next once it’s up tomorrow. Hope you guys like this!

BESIDES(2), be warned that this special was hastily created, thus the fourth wall is very feeble, so expect some leaks during this story.

Beep, and good reading!

PART ONE

[You can do it, Ruby!] Ekis said cheerfully.

[Well, not like we have a choice knowing how Yllivia is.] Gaz added with a wry tone.

[Moou! This is embarrassing enough as is!] Ruby complained back with a teary tone. “I’m… Hmm… My name is Ruby...” She said out loud. The moment she did that, the others all directed her gazes to her. “I’m… A morphian.”

The moment her words left her mouth, she noticed how the strange rock thingy with creepy green eyes looked at her confused. The ‘kitsune’ was seemingly recovering from being petted with a satisfied smile in her face. On the other hand, the strange elves with round ears were looking at her with a bigger hint of amazement than the large group.

Not used to and neither liking to be the center of attention, Ruby shrunk even more under their gazes.

[Well, can’t really blame them. You do have a unique appearance.] Beepy said with a wry tone while walking around and seeing each of the groups one by one.

[Do-do I?] She asked confused.

[Well, I guess?] Ekis said a bit confused. [Not as unique as the Golem though. His eyes are a bit scary.]

While putting on a wry smile, Ruby quickly gave a nudge to Yllivia, who was analyzing the room around them. She blinked surprised and turned to the young morphian, who then pointed around with her head. Looking around confused, it took her a second to understand what she meant, so she quickly said.

“Yllivia. Lynnian.” She said and cut short there as always. The round-eared elves all smiled wryly, while the golem gave a brief smirk. “That’s Beepy.” Yllivia added by looking at Gaz who was having a stare off with the cat wearing the strange attire that everyone seemed to be using here.

Hearing his name, Beepy quickly raised his head and looked at the two groups before giving a brief beep. However, the moment he did that, he felt as something touched his side briefly, so he quickly turned back to see the cat wearing a triumphant smile.

[...What did he do?] He asked worried.

[He… Scribbled a cat face on your side.] Ruby said with an amazed look. [Using… Coal?] She asked confused. [Did he get it from the fireplace?]

[Scri...] Gaz said shocked before using his back paw to try and wash it off, but the sheer solid nature of his body made it difficult to scrap the coal off. [Did that do it?]

[No...]

[GAAAH!] He shouted angrily while noticing that the cat was on his other side now, throwing the coal up and down with a satisfied smile. [YOU EFFING CAT! I’LL GET YOU!] He shouted while beeping angrily.

Not even a second later he was already jumping after the cat that laughed while running away from him.

He followed the cat under the table and atop the fireplace, and only through sheer luck did they manage to avoid dropping the food or decorations in both places. While he was in a furious hunt, Ruby could only sigh in defeat before shaking her head.

“What is that metal beast?” She heard the purple haired girl ask from besides her as she eyed the two animals running around the room.

“It’s a robot, miss Tian.” The younger girl said with a proud smile and receiving a surprised look from her companions..

“Hooh? How do you know that, Young Lia?” The one called Roshi asked curious.

“Huh? Hmm… Well… That Golem said it earlier, didn’t he?” She asked a bit worried and the other two nodded.

“Yes.” Ruby said with a nod before tilting her head. “Didn’t… You see a robot before?” She asked confused, but the others all shook their heads.

“Robot, is it?” The old man asked while eyeing Beepy curiously. “Is that some kind of spirit beast?”

“No…?” Ruby replied slightly confused. “Robots are living machines. They are made of metals and gears.”

“Machines? Gears?” Tian, the purple haired girl said with a surprised gaze. “You mean that wolf isn’t alive?”

“Beepy is alive.” Yllivia said with a annoyed tone.

“But… Then...” Tian said confused before blinking and looking around confused. “Ara, where is my cute plebeian?”

“She’s here.” They heard the one that called himself a golem saying from behind the table. “She’s playing with the robot.” He said while picking the strange cat with antennas by the neck and forcing him to clean the Gaz with a cloth.

[Serves him right!] Gaz said with a proud tone while answering to the girl’s ‘paw’ command.

“Anyway, I’m not sure about you guys, but this table looks pretty damn amazing, so what about continuing our talk while eating?” The golem said while pulling a chair with his feet as if claiming it to be his. “Also, dibs on the pasta.”

“Ah! That’s unfair!” The black haired girl said before quickly standing on the tip of her toes to peek over the table. “Muu… Dibs on the fish then!” She said quickly before pulling back two other chairs and making a motion for the purple haired girl to come closer.

Tian stared at beepy warily for a moment before finally nodding and closing her fan in a single motion and directing herself to the chair, being followed closely by the old man who still had his guard up. Sighing at the scene, Ruby decided that worrying about it would lead nowhere, so with a glance towards Yllivia, she motioned for the two of them to head to the table

“I believe that this time we ought to present ourselves, as this is the proper noble way of doing so, right?” The purple haired girl said with a pompous tone and a proud smile while she climbed on the chair.

[She’s totally some noble’s daughter.] Gaz said with a wry tone.

[How do you know?] Ruby asked confused.

[I’d say it’s from the way she talks and acts.]

[Is that so?] Ekis said with a surprised tone. [I’d never have guessed…]

[Exactly! She just have this whole ‘noble’ to the way she act and all!] Gaz replied with a satisfied nod while sitting at Yllivia’s feet.

[Yeah, after following master around for so long I guess I got used to analyzing everything I find and see what I can discover.] The reply came in a wry tone.

[I see...] Ruby said with a slightly surprised nod before suddenly blinking and looking around confused. [Wait, who are you?]

[Hmm, Now I understand why Gon likes the whole delayed reaction so much!] The voice said in a cheerful tone, making the trio in the link look around confused.  [I had this strange itch on the back of my processor, so I wondered what was happening. I didn’t expect for there to be such an encrypted transmission going on around here!]

[Wha...] Gaz said surprised as he tried to understand what was happening. Looking towards Ruby and seeing that the girl was also lost on what was happening, he turned back and looked around in search from where this new voice was coming.

His eyes finally landed on the floating crystal girl who was flying above the table and serving the food for the others. The strange creature gave them a brief look before smiling with her eyes and going back to her work.

[Bu… How...] Ekis said confused, but Crys quickly replied.

[Well, when you have a quantum computer behind your processing power, it’s not that really hard to enter a broadcasted channel like this one.] She replied with a slightly indifferent tone as if it wasn’t something strange. [Although it does makes me curious on how the young girl there is also talking here.] She gave Ruby a brief curious look before turning to the purple haired girl and serving her the plate. “Here is your plate.” She said in a cheerful tone before going to the next person in line.

While the trio watched her in shock and confusion, the purple haired girl shook her head and cleared her throat.

“Forgive-me. I’ve been distracted by this strangely cute creature.” She said while looking at Crys. “As I was saying, let me begin with my introduction. I am...”

“Tian, martial artist and noble.” The golem said interrupting her. She blinked surprised and stared at him while he went on. “The ones on your side are probably Lia and Roshi. If I had to guess, Lia is your servant and apprentice to the old man.” As he said that, he dropped a huge portion of pasta on his plate, making a delirious smile while staring at the food. “There, introductions done. TIME FOR THE GRUBAAAH!”

“That was extremely rude, Master.” Crys said after having slammed the back of his head. “Couldn’t you have given then the time to introduce themselves?”

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

“BUT THIS FOOD IS MAKING ME HUNGRY!” The golem complained while pointing to the bountiful food in front of him. “How could I look at this suspiciously placed, delicious looking food that have been clearly set here by someone other than any of us whom we have no idea of who it could be and their intentions, knowing that they are still nearby because the food is still warm so it means it’s recent, and not get hungry?”

“S-Strange, I suddenly lost my hunger…” Ruby said in a wry tone while pushing the plate away.

Her feeling quickly spread along the table as the others quickly pushed the plates back. All except Yllivia, who simply took a piece of the meat closer, sniffed it briefly before shrugging and eating it.

“Not poisoned.” She said in an indifferent tone.

“Shi-Shishou!” The kitsune complained in a worried tone. “That’s not something you should say during christmas!” The two groups stared at the girl with a confused expression, as her cold and sharp expression she had when defending the golem previously was nowhere to be seen at the time.

“What is this ‘crissmas’ you speak about?” The one called master Roshi asked, seemingly the least affected one. “And I take you found out about us from our talk previously?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Yup.” The golem said while lifting his head from the plate of pasta and starting to pick it up with his fingers. “And before you ask, yes. I can eat stuff.” He said briefly in a completely out of place serious look. “And well, christmas, in a very practical and brief explanation, is a time where people get around, commemorate, eat food and exchange presents.”

“That… Sounds a bit random...” Roshi said with a wry tone.

“Indeed. This doesn’t looks like the kind of preparation people would do for something like that.” She said pointing to the room around them.

Indeed, looking around, the amount of decorations was really significative, with garlands and ribbons spread everywhere and a fairly large decorated tree on the corner that was, sadly, devoid of presents. And that was not even counting the fact that everyone was dressed following the same kind of pattern.

Gaz smiled a bit to himself when he noticed that the golem had been cornered and a certain crystal maid was shaking her head exhaustedly.

“You do that on purpose, don’t you, Master?” She asked, and the reply was a ridiculously proud smile

[Looks like you have it rough...] Beepy said with a wry tone.

[I did ask for this, so I can’t really complain.] She replied in a tired tone before sighing.

[No, wait. How are you even here in the first place?] Ekis asked in a worried tone, as if she had just snapped out of her confusion. [We have no idea how to add others to this link! PLEASE! Tell us how you came in!] She begged in a desperate voice that surprised the others in the link.

[Wow! Calm down Ekis!] Gaz said with a worried tone. [You almost gave me a core attack!]

[Core attack?] Ruby asked confused.

[A play with heart attack perhaps?] Crys replied briefly. [Also, I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can really explain how I found this connection here.]

[Huh?] Ekis reacted surprised. [Bu-But, why?]

[Well… In the words of Gon… This whole ordeal isn’t canon, so whatever explanation I give you here probably won’t work on your own story.] She said in an apologetic tone.

[Wait… Canon? Our story? What do you mean?]

“MAGIC FOURTH WALL BREAKING POWAAHS!” The golem suddenly shouted while standing up and putting one of his feet on the table and pointing a fork full of pasta to the air. After a moment he blinked surprised and felt all the eyes gathering on him. “What? Wasn’t it obvious I had to say that?” He asked with a sigh before falling down on the chair.

[Was it just me who found that scary?] Ruby asked while shrinking below the table with a worried look.

[That’s Gon for you.] Crys replied with a mix of pride and worry in her tone.

“Ermm… What’s that power you just spoke about is, mister golem?” The black haired girl, Lia, asked.

“Something that allows one to have vast knowledge of what is happening, young Lia.” He said in a strangely serious tone that wouldn’t feel strange in a teacher, his sudden change in attitude catching everyone off guard as they looked at him confused. “But at the same time, you risk enraging the Author! Thus Its usage must be done completely different to how i’ve been doing, practicing lots of moderation!”

“Oh? Who could that ‘Author’ be? What would he do to you?” Tian asked with a curious glance to him while fumbling with the silverware trying to cut the fish.

“The Author is an almighty being that dictates our own destiny!” Gondorrer said in a serious tone, widening his eyes as if telling the undeniable truth. Yllivia and Roshi watched him with interest while Yuu seemingly tried to stop him, but the words wouldn’t leave her mouth at the pace he was in. “But he is also made of pure evil and would stop at nothing should he be angere...”

Suddenly, all the pasta in the golem’s plate disappeared for no good reason. With not even a puff of smoke or any kind of signal, all the food he had set aside for himself simply disappeared.

For a moment, the whole room froze and stared in shock at the perfectly empty plate. While the others watched the scene in shock and confusion, only the golem smiled widely as if he had won something.

“As if this would stop me!” He said while standing up and setting apart another portion of the pasta. However, the moment he sat down again, the food disappeared.

Soon, a loud cry of anguish echoed through the dining room as the golem shouted in suffering as one of his favorite food were denied him as a punishment for breaking the fourth wall.

While his cry echoed through the room, the sound of a certain cat’s laughter soon followed, making the others look at him wryly before going back to eating their own food.

[Ermm… Say, did he tell the story of this whole christmas event?] Ekis asked after some time of silence.

[Yes. But we were talking at the moment.] Crys replied briefly.

[Oh...] The Goddess became slightly depressed once she heard that, but not liking to see her like that, Gaz quickly said.

[I know what it is too, so I can explain later.]

[Really?]

[Yeah.] He replied with a brief sigh. [Also, Ruby. Shouldn’t you be eating by now? Letting such a food go cold is a waste.]

[Ah!] The morphian replied surprised before nodding and leaning closer to the table so she could eat her share. [Kind of… Got distracted.] She replied shyly while taking a peek at Crys.

[Well, not like I can’t understand. I’m also quite curious about you.] The little maid said embarrassedly.

“Muu...” The small group blinked surprised when they heard the Lynnian complaining slightly. “We heard what they are.” She said briefly while looking at the golem’s group. “But now what you are. Elves? Dwarves?” She tilted her head as she looked at them dubiously.

“Elves? What kind of creature is that?” The purple haired girl asked with a raised eyebrow and curiosity in her eyes. “Well, whatever it may be, we are none of those.” She shook her head and brought the fan to her face, covering her mouth as she put on a proud smile. “We are all humans here.” She replied while making a motion to her companions.

Contrary to her expectations, however, the two girls only tilted their heads confused, with only Ruby widening her eyes after a moment in surprise and turning towards the wolf robot for a moment.

“...Only humans? Boooring.”

“Huh? Boring?” Tian replied shocked at the golem’s sudden interruption. “Wha… Why would I and my companions be boring for you?” She asked with a frown, before putting her hand over Lia’s shoulder and pulling her close. “How can this adorably cute plebeian be boring?”

“But… I mean...” The golem said while raising his face from the table. “I’m a moving pile of rock who uses the body of my prey to make gear and is followed by a procession of adorable slash mischievous creatures.” His eyes glanced towards the cat who was feasting on the fish. “They are some kind of super powerful catgirl that can react to Yuu’s attack, a strange adorable looking girl who says to be a Morphian, which I sincerely have no idea what it is, looks ridiculously squishy and huggable and is followed by a super cool robotic wolf...”

[I’m starting to like that guy.] Gaz said while stuffing his chest out.

[Cute… Huggable…?] Ruby echoed, surprised by the sudden praise.

“Then, humans.” He said while pointing to the last group.

“When you put it like that...” Ruby agreed shyly.

“See! Even Squishy agreed with me!” The golem said indignated. Unless you give me one good reason why you are interesting, I’ll only be able to think of you as boring, you know?” Despite his slightly sharp words, some slight hint of a taunt could be heard from his voice.

The noble purple haired girl, of course, didn’t miss it, and finally smiled behind her fan as she understood what was his point. However, she wasn’t the only one to notice it, because soon enough her young aide gave off a cute smile and asked.

“Does being a Spiritualist count as interesting?” She asked in a clear voice.

“I have no idea what that is, but now we’ve started talking!” The golem said while putting on a victorious smile and leaning back on the chair.
