Writer’s corner: Greetings friends! Sorry for the delay, but here it is!
SO, some mystery going on for a change since I felt like being a bit evil with you guys. And also an unexpected secret from one of the characters! I bet no one saw that one coming.
BESIDES, the reason for the delay was that I felt like writing my other story yesterday, more so than Beepy. I’m actually having a lot more of an easy time writing that one than either beepy or IO for unknown reasons, so these delays might be a bit more consistent than the expected… And I really am this close to posting that story here… So…
Beep, and enjoy your story!

Gaz and Ruby somehow managed to spot Sorius and Lunn, both who were walking against the panicked crowd that fled for its life as the sound of robots attacking each other echoed. Amongst them, some of the owners tried to shout orders at the robots, but due to the chaos, the robots couldn’t hear their voice, so their disciplinary measures wouldn’t activate. Truly a case of what you don’t know won’t hurt you.
Ignoring what was happening, Gaz, Ruby, Mirage and Hugger quickly reached the twins while being thankfully ignored by the other robots that fought against each other.
[Hmm…]
[What is it, Gaz?] Ekis asked.
[It’s just that…] He started and took a quick look around before shaking his head. [Nothing important. I’ll tell you later.] He said dismissing the thought while making Ruby look at him in confusion for a moment.
“Sweetie!” Lunn said while jumping at Ruby so that she could hug her.
“Not now, Lunn.” Ruby said while side-stepping and avoiding the hug, making the elf fall flat on the ground. She turned to Sorius and said briefly. “Yllivia went ahead. She’s hunting the boss… Are you up to date with the situation?” She asked when she noticed she had been talking without checking on what Sorius knew.
“Y-Yeah…” Sorius said a bit shocked with the unexpected professor. “Lunn told me what was happening here…” He said before looking around. “So, I take it that the mission is done then?”
“No.” The professor said while shaking her head. “We need to catch the boss alive if we want to take the alloy.”
“Alloy?” Sorius asked confused. “I didn’t hear about that.”
“The prize for winning. Since the tournament is busted, might as well as take it.” She said with a shrug, receiving a glare from Sorius for a moment, who finally sighed seeing that he wouldn’t get anything for now.
“Anyway, are you going to be alright?” He asked while taking a look at her serious gaze. Ruby raised an eyebrow confused before nodding.
“Yeah. As long as I don’t go back, I won’t suffer the backlash.” She said briefly.
“I WANT MY CUTE RUBY BACK!” Lunn cried while finally getting up. “I DON’T LIKE THIS SERIOUS RUBY ANYMORE!”
Gaz sat on the ground with an awkward feeling while watching the scene, only to be hugged by a crying Lunn who seemingly needed a friendly shoulder to support herself. Ruby simply looked at the scene briefly before shrugging, as if saying that it had nothing to do with her.
“So, what do you want us to do now?” Sorius asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Ideally, we would need to find the boss. But we have no idea where he might be.” She sighed while saying that. “For now, let’s go find the other robots that are still locked.”
Sorius nodded as he probably decided that it wouldn’t be a good idea to doubt her decisions. He still had memories of the meeting fresh in his mind, and eh didn’t want to end up like those poor businessman, who not only were dancing on top of her hand, but were also heavily humiliated.
Better to simply dance and not be humiliated. A fair decision.
Turning to the cat robot, Ruby simply looked at her and Mirage nodded before turning back and walking away. The group followed the cat in silence as Lunn pouted while trying to hug Ruby time and time again, only to be skillfully dodged.
Conveniently, the emergency lights had finally turned on, so they could somehow see better where they were going instead of relying on Gaz’s sensors. Due to this they crossed the ground much faster than before, and soon reached the room where Mirage stopped in front.
“Hey! What are you doing here?” The guards asked while raising their weapons at the group.
“Taking a walk. Can’t you see?” Ruby asked sarcastically. The guards shivered slightly at her below zero tone.
The brief moment of confusion was enough for Sorius to approach the two and put his hands on their shoulders. When they looked at the elf confused, it was already too late as an electric discharge shocked the two senseless.
Nodding satisfied, Sorius quickly opened the door, revealing a long room filled with cages of all sizes and shape, almost all of them had a robot inside that immediately recoiled inside the room once they saw that there was someone coming.
“The other room I saw was just like this.” Sorius commented as he walked in. “Except that they looked a bit more… Aggressive… And there were price-tags.” He said while approaching a nearby cage.
“So they also sell illegal robots here.” Ruby said with an icy tone. “These probably weren’t modded with the aggression and obedience module yet.” She approached one of the cages and kneeled in front of it as if calling the robot nearby.
The robot looked at her in fear for a moment, but after a few seconds it finally calmed down and approached her, making the young morfian smile briefly.
Sorius didn’t need to receive an order before approaching what looked like a fuse-box and discharging his esp on it. For a moment the whole room flashed bright as the lightning ran through the cables and towards the robots and some lightbulbs came on before exploding in fragments.
“What do you think you are doing?” Ruby asked with a slightly annoyed tone as she swiped the glass bits from her body.
“Overcharging the cages?” Sorius asked as he turned back. Only to see that the cages were still closed. “Strange, it worked the other time?” He said confused.
“That’s because you lucked out.” She said curtly. “What you did was overload the alarm system. The locking mechanism is the red wire coming from the right corner of the box.” Ruby said after a short glance towards him. “And no need to go all out. Just a small discharge should work.”

The elf didn’t look embarrassed by being reproached and simply nodded before cutting the red wire off and letting out a small current through it. Soon after the cages all opened in a wave fashion with a loud sound, startling the robots that were inside.
They looked in shock for a moment unmoving, as if expecting something bad to happen, but after noticing that nothing came to get them, the robots started to leave one by one while looking around confused.
Ruby smiled gently for a brief moment before turning to Sorius.
“Before you ask, we can contact Archon Tec to take care of taking them back.” She said and the elf nodded. “Golgoff should be willing to do this if I promise them some trinket.”
“Why do I suddenly feel useless ever since Serious-pants got here?” Lunn said in an almost crying tone.
[Make that two of us.] Gaz commented silently.
[Three…] Ekis added.
“You specialize in seduction, so right now you don’t have much use for us, Lunn.” The professor said curtly.
“But… But… I can also fight, you know?” She said in an almost crying tone. “Besides, it’s not like I’m only good at seduction!”
“Yet you look so used at it.” Ruby said with a slight look of wariness on her eyes.
Strangely enough, this made Sorius chuckle slightly. Noticing that, Ruby turned her gaze back to the elf who looked at his sister with a rare smug smile. Lunn stared back at him in confusion for a moment before paling slightly.
“It’s funny you say how she’s used to seducing…” He said with a snarky tone.
“Don’t… You… Dare…” Lunn said with a slight tinge of fear in her words.
“You see… Little Lunn there…” He put a strange intonation in his words, which made Lunn’s face go pale. “Once had a fiance that she loved to tease… Just like she does nowadays.”
“[[LUNN HAD A FIANCE?]]” The three asked in shock.
“Yeah.” Sorius said with a smile while holding back the Lunn that was trying to shut his mouth with her hands. “Long story. One night he drank a bit too much and decided to take his revenge. This girl here became extremely flustered, and when he took her to the bed…”
“NOOOOHMPHHH!” Lunn started to scream, but Sorius hand quickly shut her up.
“She passed out of embarrassment. Literally.” The elf finished with a sadistic smile.
Gaz and Ruby looked at the pink haired girl with shocked faces, seeing as tears of shame ran from her dead eyes. She looked at them with a slight blush in her face that didn’t match the usual image they had of her.
“But… Doing that… Without even being married…” She said while looking down and touching her fingers meekly.
“… Who the hell are you and what did you do with Lunn?” Ruby asked in a confused tone. Lunn simply lowered her head even more.
[Did we get the wrong Elf somewhere when we were running?] Gaz asked.
[Readings indicate that this is the Lunn we know…] Ekis commented. [But I’m having my doubts… I’ll run a scan on your systems… Just to be sure.]
[Please do.]
“She always try to make herself look a lot more mature than she is.” Sorius said with a triumphant smile as Lunn was left defeated on the ground. “And after some years of experience she started to act like that, since it leaves people with no chance to question her act.”
“… Meanie…” Lunn said in a pouting tone, but with no energy behind it whatsoever.
“I’m having hard times believing in that story… But it does explains why she acts childish some times…” Ruby frowned while staring at Sorius while he simply shrugged in response. “Besides, since when did she have a fiance?”
“Hmm?” Sorius looked surprised for a moment. “That’s a long story… I’ll tell you later.”
Ruby nodded, they had already spent too long inside this room and they were in the enemy’s territory. They had been lucky to not be found in here already. With a quick motion of her head, Mirage once again darted away guiding the group towards the next storage room, the whole group being followed by a large amount of freed robots.
…
Yllivia ran while sporting a confused look in her face. What those two announcers, if she could even call them that anymore, told her was true, then this would be too much of a good thing to be a simple coincidence.
As she ran, she noticed for a moment that there was a group of guards coming her way, but with a quick aimed shots she left them hurt before finishing them with some close quarters combat. The fact that they came from this direction probably meant that the boss did come towards this place.
This meant that the duo hadn’t lied to her so the other info they gave her was also true. Not that the fact that telling the truth meant that they were being sincere, so she still posed some doubts, even with what they told her matched what was happening right now.
She shook her head. Thinking too much wasn’t good for her, as this was Sorius’ and Ruby’s job. Her job was only to hunt the annoying boss and bring him back to the professor, after that she could pass on their words to the group and let them make the decision.
From the looks of it, she was about to have her job done. From the corner of the door in the next room she managed to catch sight of the boss talking desperately with somebody. Entering the room in a hurry, she quickly aimed the rifle at him.
“My my, what do we have here?” A loud and obnoxious voice came from the man that the boss was talking to, soon followed by an even louder and more obnoxious laugh. “So you have been troubled by this girl?”
Yllivia took some time to recognize the large scaled man in front of her, but after a brief moment she finally remembered him as the odd Athlian that had bullied Ruby when she first got into the tournament.
“Look. Get rid of her, and we seal the deal, okay?” The boss said in an angry tone.
“Ha ha ha. Leave it to me.” The Athlian said with a smug tone while cracking his neck, the five or so hooligans that followed him also doing the same. “This is much faster than having to win that stupid tournament anyway!”
Ylliivia frowned a bit at his words while analyzing him and the other men with him. She couldn’t help but think that things had gotten a bit more annoying
