A week has passed and we all had to say goodbye to Klutzs and the other knights that were drafted off to the borders.
Apparently the borders were lacking in man power so the palace decided to send reinforcements from the palace guards. I even heard that nobles also had to send out their knights to help out.
Making sure to give them the protection charms, though I won’t be able to cast magic on the one I made for Klutzs that's why I drew him a message instead, using my artisan hands of course!

Several moons then passed after the Knights' departure. Now, my 4th birthday is just around the corner.
I was getting ready to sleep and so I climb on the bed with much needed effort.
Successfully climbing up on the bed, I’m currently proud of my hard work also looking triumphantly after I successfully got on the bed by myself without any help whatsoever!
Selina then praised me for my success and she even clapped!
She then paused as she checked her watch, a slight look of worry and irritation(?) present on her face.
Yet like a small trick of the eye, she was then already back to her usual sly expression fitting for the title of head maid.
Hugging me tightly, she then excused herself as Opheli and Olizia enters my room.
Selina has been oddly busy lately that it’s a bit lonely.
But I could do nothing about that as they are working after all.
Though I gotta say, I have gotten pretty close to the people in this palace so I can’t wait to show them my progress on my babbling tomorrow. I even practiced all night in my head to get their names right.
I then briefly closed my eyes as I began to remember the people that have been with me for almost 3 years now.
‘Hodur the Chef, Urt and Joreh the Gardeners, Klutzs the Knight, Opheli and Olizia the Maids, Selina the Head Maid, and Elt the Head Butler. I hope they’ll be happy.’ I then smiled from ear to ear as I get tucked in bed by Opheli while listening to Olizia’s narrations.
I then think of Urt and Joreh’s hearty smiles whenever I visit the gardens, Hodur’s satisfied face when I finish my meals, Elt’s occasional visits, Selina’s Hugs and sly smiles, and Klutzs bear like laughter.
Even if I have just met them, they are like family to me now.
There are other staff in this palace too but I specially got closer to them as they are always around me, if I become King in the future I will make sure to make them all happy.

「 Waking up, I then tried to not doze off again. 」
「 ‘I soon learned that these wishes were rather foolish, childish even. I am aware that I have turned into a child but I didn’t expect, let alone notice that even my mentality turned to that of a child.’ 」
「 I continued my narration and lifted my hand towards the sky, trying to grasp at the countless illusionary stars. 」
The pages of a book being turned was soon heard as a clear and soft voice resounded in the room.
“Once upon a time there lived a villager” Olizia started reading the story.
Though I’m not gonna lie, the introduction of the story is kinda cliché.
“The villager was humble and lived peacefully with the others, although the villager may seem normal at first but just a glimpse of their face made everyone think that this person was an incarnation of the divine.”
Opheli listening closely continued to pat me to sleep but that didn’t help as the story was engaging making it hard for me to even yawn.
“The use of magic was taboo and even banned by other kingdoms at the time. Whoever was caught using magic would be burned at a steak, alive.”
Whoa that got dark real fast…. Is this a reference to the Salem witch trials or something?
“Ohh this must be one of those story books that’s based off from real history right???”
‘Wait…. For real? Sometimes details like this make me question if this world was really an Otome game.’ I stared at Opheli in disbelief and looked back to Olizia.
Seeing my reaction, Olizia couldn't help but nag at Opheli's crude remarks.
“Opheli! Our young Prince didn’t need to know that yet!”
They soon started to bicker, again.
‘When will I finally get to sleep I wonder?’ I stare at them with tired eyes and as if noticing my gaze they soon settled down, finally behaving their selves and acting their age.
Olizia once again picked up the book as she cleared her throat while staring daggers at Opheli, then she continued on with the narration.
“Ahem! Continuing on and hopefully no more distractions. Everything was at peace and everyone was happy but soon the flames of war started to spread.”
‘War…Huh...'
“People were dying left and right, drought and poverty spread throughout the land. When all hope seemed to be lost, the villager made their way to the center of the battlefield. Every step they took made plants grow from the withered land, their gaze cold and appearance ethereal.”
The pages then lit up as an array of color bursted out from the book.
Those colors then took form and the events written on the book seemed to come to life as a miniature set showing the divine being, face to face with two warring nations.
Clearly amazed, I couldn't help but feel that this world's use of magic is really fascinating as I have no capacity in using magic myself.
Olizia then continued as she smiled at my reactions.
“It felt as if a divine being went and watched their measly squabbles up close, peering at them as if what they were doing was nothing but a waste of time. The forces however didn’t back down and continued to fight.”
[As if the villager had gotten sick of their noise, the villager shouted in an enraged voice and yelled incomprehensible words as two large waves swallowed both forces.
The farmers that were forced to join the war marveled at the sight. It felt as if divine might, had clashed upon the warring nations and ceased their pointless fight.
Since then, this phenomenon was dubbed as magic, not sorcery.
Countless others have gained and used magic all throughout history but nowhere near as divine and powerful as that being. It was as if the lands were blessed and cursed at the same time.]
“…And that is how magic became common today, the end.”
‘I see… but near the end of the story they have never once mentioned where the divine being went…’ As I was deep in my thoughts I soon fell asleep.
「 ‘But now that I think of it—the divine being, no rather… the magician mention in the book was…. 」
