Sage Transformations 2

“Now remember. Listen to your instincts. Don’t try to suppress yourself. Go with the flow, not against it.”

“Yes father.”

Uehara and Volkarin were standing a few metres from each other. While Volkarin was instructing him, Uehara was again absorbing nature energy. At the same time, he was increasing the ratio of fire chakra within his body to enter his flame sage transformation.

Feeling the overflowing power running through his body, a faint red aura started emanating from his skin before it instantly turned golden.

Volkarin was slightly disappointed.

[He was so close to getting it right. No matter. I’ll correct him after this.]

Meanwhile, Uehara continued moulding the nature energy and the fire chakra in his body. The newly created sage chakra travelled throughout his whole body, causing his hair to turn golden as well. The golden aura grew in intensity and density, making Uehara look like a golden flame. His entire visage was now golden in colour.

Opening his eyes, they were now golden slits and they exuded powerful battle intent.

Uehara got into a stance, ready to attack or retreat at any moment. Volkarin smiled when he looked at the fierce expression on his son’s face.

Deciding to start the battle, he spoke.

“Go.”

SWOOSH SWOOSH…CLASH!

The clash between father and son caused the already damaged landscape to be destroyed even further. Just by Uehara’s fist meeting his father’s palm, the surrounding grass was instantly uprooted by the shockwave.

Leaving an afterimage, Uehara instantly retreated and forged a few hand-signs.

[Monkey-Dog-Tiger-Pig: Flame Tsunami]

Without speaking a word, a large wave of flames spanning at the very least three kilometres in width and almost a kilometre in height formed behind Uehara. Directing it towards his father, the flame tsunami passed through Uehara without harming him.

Uehara didn’t dawdle at all and began waving another set of hand-signs.

[Ox-Tiger-Pig: Lava Lake]

Slapping his hands together, lava started bubbling through the ground. Before the lava lake could fully form, a powerful water tsunami erased Uehara’s flame tsunami. It was already barreling down towards him at high speeds.

Uehara acted quickly and manipulated the lava to clash with the wave. Huge amounts of steams occurred while the lava bubbled uncontrollably. Soon, an inevitable explosion occurred, causing a massive shockwave and huge amounts of steam.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Jumping away from the highly toxic steam, Uehara felt an impending sense of danger. He immediately turned around midair and stopped a knee kick that would’ve easily blew out his kidney.

While still midair, Volkarin nodded in approval.

“Good job on blocking it.”

“Nn.”

Uehara wasn’t being disrespectful by that hollow reply. It was that his joints were on the verge of dislocating and he was trying to ignore the pain.

Knowing that he couldn’t take on another attack of that calibre, Uehara took in a deep breath and flew away while releasing golden flames from his mouth.

Taking the chance that his father would be blocking or dodging the flames, Uehara quickly created two shadow clones that were both in the flame sage transformation.

He eyes glistened as he kept a lookout for his father’s energy signature. He also focused on sensing for his heat signature as well. He was soon able to spot his father having appeared a few kilometres from him.

“Let’s go.”

SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH

Giving chase, he instantly arrived in front of his father and started assaulting him with his clones. The teamwork between his clones was fluid as they utilised the water-style taijutsu technique to its maximum capabilities. There was no pause in the attacks as they pressured Volkarin. They flowed into each other seamlessly like water, not one disrupting the other. Due to the advantage of shadow clones, they shared the same thoughts as Uehara.

Volkarin was being forced into an uncomfortable position as he continued to block the attacks presented by his son and his two clones. Inwardly, he was very proud at how far his son had gotten with the water-style taijutsu technique.

He just didn’t like being on the receiving side of it.

[This brat of mine is enjoying this too much. I can already smell how happy he is behind that stone face.]

Deciding to finally attack, he caught the first clone that was about to punch him from above and pulled him to the ground. Due to how sudden the action was, the clone inadvertently got kicked in the face by Uehara who was aiming for his father’s shin. It got sent skidding towards the side.

Taking advantage of the confusion, Volkarin swung his head and like a hook, it landed on Uehara’s neck, sending him crashing into the nearby mountains.

Putting his right foot down, he used that same momentum to spin around and kick the other clone on the chest with his left foot, sending it flying into the distance.

He then turned his attention towards the first clone. As it was about to get up, Volkarin arrived next to it and stomped so hard that the clone dispersed just by the massive air pressure caused by Volkarin’s sandal coming down.

BOOOOOOOOM

“...”

Volkarin looked at the newly created three-kilometre long ravine that was deeper than a woman with thirty husbands.

[I should limit my strength a bit more or I may risk injuring my son and making him brain dead.]

Feeling a large fluctuation of chakra, Volkarin turned back to see a large torrent of fireballs covering the sky.

Sighing, he got ready to dodge.

[He must be feeling very angry about the headache he just got because of the ravine.]

Watching the fireballs get closer, he shrugged.

“Oh well.”

Suuuuuuuuuuuu…Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du

Hundreds of fireballs homed in on Volkarin and targeted him. He dodged them with such ease that it looked almost like a choreographed scene.

Volkarin was about to wander how long Uehara would keep this up when he suddenly felt the presence of a hundred shadow clones in the sky. Each of them began weaving hand-signs so fast that he could hear the chakra moulding.

Finally dodging the lost fireball, he saw the clones clap their hands together.

[I’m going to have a headache after this.]

(AN: I know I said I would update daily but some problems came up. One of my family members recently passed away and I’m in no condition to write right now. I’ll get back to writing in probably three or four days. Until then, my apologies.)
