Blood Titans- Emergence Of The Overlord

Blood Titans- Emergence Of The Overlord

Blood Titans. They have a very simple life and live by very simple rules. Strength is something paramount in the titan community. Although they don’t possess much intelligence, their base instinct is to always obey the strong.

Uehara always respected this race of giants and their simple way of life. The strong rule. Although slightly barbaric, he respected such a simple way of leading. It was why he would have no qualms about what he was about to do next.

Extending his hand forward, he aimed his dark sphere towards a lone eighty-metre blood titan that just left cave entrance.

[If I show sufficient strength, I should be able to bring all the titans under me without having to kill too many of them. If I can contract all of them, it would make getting rid of threats much easier.]

Not wasting anymore time, he fired off the sphere and watched it hurl towards the unsuspecting titan. The results were quite…different from what Uehara had been expecting.

Although there was no intent when forming the dark sphere, he expected something along the lines of an explosion happening. He never expected that the moment the sphere touched the titan, a sort of black barrier would form.

Within that barrier, anything “living” was being corroded by the dark energy. That naturally included the blood titan as well. It’s pained cries echoed throughout the entire region as it thrashed around.

Uehara watched all of this with an impassive gaze. With his eyes shifting back to a normal red from their previous slitted appearance. No sooner did they revert that a black concentric ring formed around the pupil.

With the newly added clarity, he could clearly see that every part of the blood titan was being eroded.

[I’ve seen enough.]

Deciding to put the titan out of its misery, he made the dark chakra dissipate before throwing a few ice-pikes on the titan’s vital areas.

BOOM

Causing a minor earthquake, the blood titan fell down, destroying some boulders that were around it in the process. It’s appearance, was very gruesome. Parts of its body were already eroded down to the marrow, past the bone. That is a big feat considering the size of the titan. The transparent membrane above the muscles that acted as the skin was also eroded, along with the muscles themselves.

Because Uehara didn’t control the dark sphere after releasing it, the erosion wasn’t uniform. As a result, the corpse of the titan looked like several beasts had taken to biting chunks out of it.

Touching down from his vantage point, Uehara ran his hands through the eroded areas.

“It feels…like nothing was ever there. This truly is erosion. Even if it was corrosion, there would be signs. But here…”

Running his fingers through the eroded shoulder-stump of the titan, his eyes slightly widened at the bits of flesh flaking off like sand.

“...this is almost the same result of a rock having a flaky surface due to erosion caused by rapid heating and cooling…sigh.”

Turning his head to the right, he could here the loud footsteps of other blood titans coming, likely having heard the cries of the now dead titan in front of him.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Standing up straight, the concentric ring in his eyes spun briefly before a dark aura emanated around him.

“Down.”

Feeling the heavy pressure descending upon them, the titans had barely made it a couple of metres outside the cave before falling to their knees. The vicinity that was filled with the cries and screeches of the blood titans now became deadly quiet.

The blood titans were trembling and they didn’t dare lift their heads. In fact, it wasn’t just the blood titans. Every single entity residing in the mountain region was feeling this pressure, including the blood titans still in the caves.

Uehara had made sure to let out his overwhelming chakra spread across the entire region. By instinct, all entities weaker than Uehara stopped moving and were brought down to their knees by his pressure.

But the most amazing thing was that Uehara’s pressure affected every single entity equally. Even the ants climbing the boulders didn’t die from the pressure but their instincts caused them to seize up.

But there was one entity that didn’t suffer from Uehara’s pressure. Rather, it found it extremely annoying and disrespectful.

ROOAAAR!!!!!!!!!

The blood titan overlord that was previously resting inside his grotto was awoken by Uehara’s pressure. He knew very well what it meant, and he was annoyed.

Already standing upright, he stood at around nine-hundred-metres, having grown taller by a hundred-metres during the past few years.

Boom…Boom…Boom

Feeling the footsteps of the titan overlord cause the ground to shake, Uehara made himself hover just a few centimetres above the tendrils of dry grass.

BOOM…BOOM…BOOM

As the footsteps grew closer, Uehara withdrew the pressure emanating from him. His goal had already been completed. Uehara had known instinctually that amongst demons, the method of challenging another demon was to release your chakra, which would cause a heavy pressure on all entities under the demon he wants to challenge.

This would force the demon he’s challenging to either fight for their pride or submit. Since all existences that reside on Aokigahara are chakra beasts, they fall under the category of demon as well.

Watching the towering figure of the almost kilometre-tall titan overlord exit from the cave entrance, Uehara didn’t even flinch after taking in its appearance.

The blood titan overlord had dark red skin, much darker than the other titans. There were also singular golden lines that ran across its skin. Each arm would have a golden line that would meet at the chest before branching out to the rest of the body. Another differentiating feature were the golden eyes that the titan overlord had.

Unlike the other blood titans which had red eyes, the overlord’s were an intimidating golden-yellow in colour, almost similar to Uehara’s dragon eyes before they fully mutated to red in colour.

Right now, two powerful existences were facing each other. Each existence owned a large territory and held fearsome strength. Previously, Uehara could never make it past the ordinary blood titans before being overwhelmed since he was still too weak to even rouse the titan overlord with the pitiful amount of chakra he wielded before he was five.

But now, it would be different. With the setting sun acting as the backdrop, the slowly vanishing rays reflected beautifully on Uehara’s black horns.

Standing just five-hundred metres from each other, neither moved. The titan overlord was silent. It had sensed the power Uehara contained in his small frame. Although it didn’t possess much self-conscious thought, its instincts were doing the most.

Uehara didn’t lift his head to look at the titan before speaking.

“I don’t feel like straining my neck. So how about you get down here?”

Feeling the sage chakra within Uehara suddenly circulate even faster, the titan overlord instantly performed a cross-block with its arms. Uehara noticed this and in an instant, he appeared behind the titan overlord.

He managed to land a powerful kick to the back of its head, sending it crashing down the ground below.

[Long range attack will be impossible with this opponent.]

Through his ability to see energy, he had noticed how the titan had directed more chakra to its arms and head at the last second. Seeing the frightening combat instincts that the titan had, he realised that he would have to reduce the usage of sage chakra to a minimum since the titan overlord can sense the energy changes.

Launching himself forward to take advantage of the still lying down titan, he couldn’t help but inwardly think to himself.

[This will be troublesome.]
